Welcome yet again my adoring fans, I'm back again for another week of Knitelife and NCW goodness. I'm glad you could all be here fans because there are a ton of things to go over and I barely know where to start. With all the exciting going ons recently I'm sure there will be a lot to keep all you fans excited going into Nothing to Lose, the pay per view you've helped build and for Battle Grounds that follows.
Can you believe some of the things we've seen recently? We have both Rob Diamond and Jacobsen walking out of NCW, thus leading to the death of not only the Young Guns but also of Flashbang who’s only purpose was to destroy the guns. Then this past week we're seeing Seth Evans and Alex Jones taking on a student/teacher relationship that has just about everybody perplexed while the Jimmy Zane and Lex Sense acting like jackasses situation has nobody surprised. I gotta say though, despite their blatant douchebaggary... I'm really liking this attitude they have, they don't give a damn about the past and aren't intimidated by those that came before them, you have to have that kind of attitude when trying to make a name for yourself, they're jerks, but it's a good career move doing so.
We had a good poll last week and got some interesting ideas from you fans on who you thought deserved to be in the hall of fame. Many people know Trent Helms took to Twitter to voice his displeasure against the Hall of Fame induction of Angel and it looks like the fans aren't lobbying for him too much as Gib easily won this poll. Trent Helms will find his way in some day, but it looks like the fans want Gib in first.
This week we're going to have a fun play off of our poll from last week. You told me who should be in the Hall of Fame next, but now... who should be in the Hall of Shame? That's right, what wrestlers should have this prestigious “honor” of being known as somebody nobody respects? This should be a tough competition no doubt. Could it be Davey Boone who lost the first ever NCW match to the amazingly uneventful “Tank” or will it be Joe Everyman who has more losses than any wrestler in NCW history, or will it be somebody completely different? We'll see what you think.
RECAP AND REVIEW
TRAUMA
Christian Schweizer vs. Lucas Young
The Match was about what I expected, didn't see Christian Schweizer doing much and saw Lucas Young really take control towards the end. It was a nice solid win for the new guy who really wants to impress NCW management.
Xander Famularo vs. Seth Evans
Just like the first match, more of what I expected but this time in a different way. I thought Seth Evans would put up a hell of a fight, and he did; However I thought Xander would take it home in the end, which he obviously did. Seth Evans still has some rust to knock off, but if he keeps giving performances like that, it won't take him long.
Brad Kane vs. Rockwell Locke
BK really wanted this match after The Lockes ambushed him at my father's orders last week and he picked up a tricky win with the roll up. Good win for Brad, one that you could tell he really wanted, but I don't think this is going to end the tension between he and the Lockes (obviously after what happened on Collision) or my father.
Freakke vs. Caleb Lockwood vs. Jason Evans vs. Chris Gardner
Such a good match and a very good win for Chris Gardner. Gardner has come back to NCW with a fire lit under him, his sister won the World Starlets championship, and if he can keep up these winning ways, he might find himself with a chance at going for a high title as well.
BWA vs. PoP
Man I'm sure getting good at predicting this matches, because again it was another match that went where I figured it would go. No offense to Roxxxie and Steph but BWA is a team on a mission and nobody is going to stand in their way. PooP put up a good fight, but in the end it wasn't enough.
COLLISION
Lex Sense vs. KLB
I'm sure KLB wanted this win, but I'm just as sure that he wanted it a different way. Then to add insult to injury Jimmy Zane the former tag team champion partner to KLB comes out and helps Lex beat him down. Interesting turn of events, but hell, it's a win.
Falcon vs. The Ace
Very good match between two former world champions. That's why they've been champions people, they gave even this match full effort and it showed by making it one of the best matches of the night. Great win for Ace against one of NCW's best wrestlers.
Spike Kane vs. Jonas Potter
Talk about a shocking match, I don't think anybody saw a win from the good doctor in this match, but hell the man pulled it off. Fantastic match between these two and Jonas Potter showing that he's deserving of bigger and better things here in NCW. This could be his springboard to many title shots to come.
Roberto Verona vs. Nathan Webb
Back and forth action in a match that could have easily went either way from the very beginning. We were all on the edge of our seats as these two battled it out fast and furiously, but in the end only one of them managed to walk away with their heads held high. Verona took a tough challenge from the always impressive Webb in a match I'd want to see again.
Ricky Johnson vs. Curtis Kanyon
Wow, I don't know how many times I've seen somebody manage to make Curtis Kanyon/DDK tap out, but it couldn't have been that many but here Ricky Johnson does so as he continues his upward climb to the world championship. If Ricky keeps this up, he might not be seeing himself as such an underdog against Steve Awesome afterall.
Aly Gardner and Katgas vs. NewFenixMan
Does anybody doubt Alysson now? She just pinned a former two time World champion in her first match as Starlets champion. This should be a prime lesson to any up and coming wrestlers out there looking to climb the ranks though, DON'T attack your tag team partner BEFORE your match with them. It's rather stupid and tends to get you abandoned. Idiot ass Newborn though, nobody has ever claimed that she was the sharpest knife in the drawer.
Joe Everyman vs. Jimmy Zane
What can I say about Joe Everyman? Boy sure tried, bless his little heart but in the end he ran into the James Wolfe freight train and got another loss under his belt. Jimmy Zane is on a roll lately, great new attitude and a lot of swagger. He might be a handful for a lot of people in the upcoming weeks.
Steve Awesome and Crystal Hilton vs. Alex Jones and Shelly Jones
The National champion and his girl took on the World champion and his girl, it was a very good match that ended with the women deciding the match. Shelly wins with a quick rollup evening he matches between these two at 1-1 should be interesting going into NTL.
THE FAB FIVE
5. SHELLY TAYLOR-JONES: It was a great win for her in the Main Event of Collision defeating her current rival. She continues to make this list with good win after good win.
4. ROBERTO VERONA: Had a tough challenge in a competitor that came with everything he had. The match really could have been either man's to win, but Roberto pulled it out so he gets on this list.
3. THE ACE: Plenty of wrestlers have faced former world champions before, not too many have to face a two time world champion. Ace came into this match looking to prove that he still deserves a shot at the top titles and he proved it.
2. RICKY JOHNSON: Nobody is as unpredictable and surprising as Curtis Kanyon, when he's in the ring you don't know what to expect. Ricky Johnson took that head on and found a way to defeat the former champion to prove that he isn't some flash in the pan challenger to Steve's world title.
1. JONAS POTTER: Simple fact is nobody last week was picked to lose as much as Jonas Potter was, the fact of the matter is that Potter shut everybody up with a huge win. I knew he had the talent but I didn't think he could pull through, however he did and he earned this spot in a big way.
PREVIEW AND PREDICTIONS
Man do we have some great matches lined up for you this week fans. Going into Nothing to Lose things have really picked up and the final Collision and Trauma before we get there is sure to be even more exciting. From top to bottom we have a great card lined up for you, one that looks pretty tough to predict on paper right now.
LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 10-5
OVERALL RECORD: 272-83
I did a good job last week, I wish I would have done better however, I'll take it. This week things are probably going to be even harder to pick, just looking up and down this stacked card. I'm going to try and force myself this week into doing a good job by putting it on the line again, double or nothing, if I don't get 11 correct predictions, I'm going to up my Joe Everyman kiss on the cheek to a peck on the lips. That's right, I just might make Joe's dreams come true.
TRAUMA
Roxxxie vs. Alexis Morrison vs. Sarah Richardson
Going to be a very interesting match, it's tough to call really. Roxxxie is definitely the most accomplished here in NCW so it's hard to pick against her. However I know Sarah Richardson is pretty good....
Winner: Sarah Richardson
The Internationals vs. The Lockes
This is going to be good, The Lockes have been pretty intimidating here in NCW as of late, they've really showed a lot of people that they have what it takes to be a driving force in the NCW Tag Team division. However you can take what I said and say it about the Internationals as well.
Winners: The Lockes
Christian Gardner vs. Jason Evans
Every Gardner has been on a roll lately and Chris looks to continue the little streak he seems to be on since his return here against Jason Evans, but the only issue is... Will Todd Williams make his presence known in this match? Will he effect the outcome? I can't predict that.
Winner: Christian Gardner
NV Laroux vs. Lucas Young
Very tough, both of these men were very impressive this past week and they really showed a lot, however now they have to show each other just what they are capable. This is going to be a tough loss for one of these men in their young NCW career.
Winner: Lucas Young
Ayla St. James and Rayne vs. Megan Kane and Josie Everyman
What a big match this is going to be, BWA gets to face the dimwitted ditzy blonde and the sex addicted big boobed cougar. I never thought I'd use cougar in context like that... -shudders- Now I feel dirty... what was I talking about? Oh yeah, wrestling. Ok, BWA is on a mission as I said earlier, they can't lose here.
Winners: BWA
COLLISION : WEBSHOW
Mark Hunter vs. Christian Schweizer
Freakke vs. Jonas Potter vs. Nathan Webb
COLLISION
Ricky Johnson vs. Jayson Matthews
The week before he can face Steve Awesome for the world title he has to face Jayson Matthews, who has had ties to Steve Awesome in the past, in this one fall matchup. Ricky Johnson can't come out flat here if he wants to be taken seriously next week... he can't.
Winner: Ricky Johnson – Lock of the Week
DDK and Joe Everyman vs. Falcon and Xander Famularo
Oh this is going to be one hell of a fun match to watch and commentate. Joe Everyman on paper looks like he's the week link for the teams involved, but who knows, he's capable of pulling out a win at any time against any one. With that said, I don't think he does. Xander and Falcon are just too good.
Winners: Falcon and Xander
Katgas vs. Crystal Hilton and Shelly Taylor-Jones
Katgas has seemed to really come together as a team lately like I've been calling for them to do. This is perfect for the Starlets tag team division, we have strong champions but they are going to be tested this week. Crystal and Shelly are great individual wrestlers, but the question is can they work as a team? I don't think so, too much bad blood there.
Winners: Katgas
KLB vs. JackHammer
KLB is a great technical wrestler, however... JackHammer is a big, BIG, man. It's going to be very hard for Bates to get his offense going against somebody with this big of a size advantage. However he's too good to not find a way to win this somehow.
Winner: KLB
Alysson Gardner vs. Emma Danielson
Should be a good solid match up between two women who earned their World title from Zelda Knite giving it up. Ouch, that was mean of me. However, I'm not joking both of these women are good wrestlers and this should be a good matchup.
Winner: Alysson Gardner
Jimmy Zane vs. Steve Awesome vs. Spike Kane
Talk about great matches, this is going to be the match of the night you can quote me on that, these three men are three of the best NCW has to offer. If only Jimmy Zane could ever win the world title we could call this a three way battle of world champions. Too bad he could never do that, win the world title I mean, such a shame.
Winner: Steve Awesome
Alex Jones and Seth Evans vs. Roberto Verona and Lex Sense
Roberto Verona are former Young Guns and they're facing the man who can be attributed as the person who killed the group by running Little AJ away from the company. The question here is how well can Jones and Evans work together... I think they can do a great job, but I don't know if it'll be enough.
Winners: Lex and Verona
IN CLOSING
:: What in the hell is up with Todd Williams? Does anybody ever understand what is going on in his head? I really hope Gardner smacks the piss out of him.
:: Are the Kane brothers back together? Spike Kane ran off the Lockes while they were attacking his twin brother. So interesting concept we have here two sets of twin wrestlers at each other's throats, it's almost like some moron thought this would be a cute idea.
:: I wonder if Xander is holding any issues against Falcon for punching his sister? Xander has seemed to really embrace the big brother role, so who knows.
:: So... the idioticly named “SEX” changed their name to “PooP”... interesting. I don't get it, do they just love scat or something? This sure as hell not be a repeat of 2 girls 1 cup, I'll choke a bitch if they do.
:: Roxi Johnson... I have no idea what is going on between her and Ricky, but it's certain that Ricky cares about her as he refused to attack Steve but why is she protecting Awesome? What is going on between these two men? I have no idea, but I can tell you it's going to get interesting.
Well fans that's all I have for this week, I hope you enjoyed it and I'll be here next week, until next time...
