Here we are again fans, we're less than 8 weeks away from our huge Road to the Gold five pay per view extravaganza and we're bringing you the PPV that's all about you. The name of the show, the theme song, and even a match stipulation were all chosen by you NCW fans and this year it's looking really awesome with some very good matchups.
This week we saw a lot of great action, with Rob Diamond returning to challenge both Lex Sense and Jimmy Zane two men who have been berating him and ridiculing him for weeks along with the surprise message from Roxi Johnson telling her husband that he would never be NCW champion as long as she could help it. See fans, that's the type of action that you can expect on these shortened weeks between big shows, everything explodes in your face all at once, and you can barely keep up.
So this past week, our poll was over who should be in the NCW Hall of Shame and it seems our run away “winners” are Davey Boone and Joe Everyman. I have to admit I'm a bit surprised there, I figured Vertigo Dirtmurder would have given them both a run for their money but they ran away with this poll. In the end however, it was Boone who edged out Joe Everyman and took home this “award” all for himself. Congratulations Davey Boone, wherever you are.
This week, as you can see, we're going with an interesting one, which Fan Choice name over the past four years have you liked the most? It's pretty simple really and should have an interesting result I think. It'll be a cool little bit of history I think.
RECAP AND REVIEW
//WHAT I LIKED//
Loved seeing Jimmy Zane FINALLY taking that next step in a huge upset against Spike Kane and the World Champion Steve Awesome. You know how long we've all been waiting to see Jimmy Zane step up and act like a foundation of this company? It's about effin time really. Great match.
Watching Aly Gardner represent the Starlets' title with pride and picking up back to back victories ever since winning the title. Many have doubted if she was talented enough to carry the belt or if she had just got lucky for one match, I think now they realize that she's a true champion and luck has very little to do with her holding that title.
Rob Diamond returning was truly the story of the night, he might be taking a stance against Leoanrd Fox but he wasn't going to let those two jerks run their mouth about him. Jimmy Zane is coming out of his shell lately which I love, but he might have bitten off more than he can chew with the Exteme American Dream now wanting his head.
I love seeing Spike and Brad united as a team, both men are former world champions and both will likely be in the Hall of Fame one day (Spike already is) and they are coming together as brothers now to take out this threat of the guns for hire, Lockes. Keep it up you two, and you'll go far, united as family.
//WHAT I DID NOT LIKE//
Ok, stay with me here... it's not like I don't like what Roxie said to Ricky, because I do, he deserved it. It's more that I don't ever like seeing a married and loving couple turn on each other like that. It's sad that they are so far apart on there views of this situation that Roxi can't be in her man's corner.
Jason Evans defeating Chris Gardner was not only a shocker to me, but it also killed all that momentum Gardner had been trying to build up recently. Going into Nothing to Lose where he'll be facing off against his former good friend, Todd Williams, a confidence killer like this is not good.
Xander decking Falcon was totally uncalled for... even if I did predict it to happen last week. I mean there is only so long you can hold onto something Xander. Zelda has forgiven the man and so should you. I like how Xander wants to play the part of the big brother since he's never known he's had a sibling before, but sometimes you can go too far and he did.
//GRADE//
Overall the shows this week were very good in my eyes. I saw a lot of intense against between great wrestlers and some nice developing feuds and stories going down. Things certainly came together for Nothing to Lose but I fully expect to see some of the fights we've seen thus far carry over into Battle Grounds and possibly beyond. There were a few things lacking, like I really expected more from a few guys and thought they half assed their efforts (looking at you Joe Everyman) but all in all everything was well done and I enjoyed the shows from beginning to ends. B.
//THE FAB FIVE//
5. KLB: I said last week he was going to have his hands full with a man JackHammer's size and I was certainly correct, however I was also correct in saying that Bates would find a way to win this match. Great win for the Honor champion heading into his big match against Jonas Potter.
4. ALYSSON GARDNER: Aly has been on a mission to prove she's a true champion and I believe she's done just that in her short time with the title belt. It's a sham that she has to come right back and face Emma Danielson again this week, but hell she can pull it out.
3. JASON EVANS: Sexy Jason comes into he match knowing that very few people were giving him a snow balls chance at winner the match, but did that stop him? Of course not. He shut his critics up with a quality win over a man with a lot of momentum.
2. RICKY JOHNSON: It was only a win over Jayson Matthews, but it was a decisive win over Jayson Matthews, a win that drove home a point, a win that told people that he wasn't somebody that you want to get into the ring with.
1. JIMMY ZANE: Simply put it was the biggest win of his career in NCW. Bigger than any title he's won, bigger than any match he's ever been a part of. It could be the match that defines the turning point in his career where he goes from the guy with the ability of being a star, to a Star.
PREVIEW AND PREDICTIONS
//RECORDS//
LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 8-5
OVERALL RECORD: 280-88
Oh Lord... I didn't get 10 correct predictions and you know what that means. Joe Everyman is going to have to pucker up. Dammit! I swear I should just stop jinxing myself with those damn guarantees. Well if anybody had this sick fetish for wanting to see my give Joe Everyman a kiss, I guess you're going to get your wish, you jerks.

//WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON//
Well clearly you should make sure and check out one of the most interesting matches in recent memory. I don't know if there has ever been a match in professional wrestling featuring two teams of twins squaring off against one another... so this just might be first. (Special call out on next week's show if you can show me where it's happened before in a true wrestling company and not one of those cheap second rate PoS gimmick companies. Just PM my Kelly Knite account on the official NCW forums with the answer.) Therefore it's obviously going to be worth watching.
So far in NCW's young life, nobody has won the Grand Slam. Ricky Johnson having won every title but the World and the combined X-Division and Xtreme, X championship, is only one belt away from the honor. Could this be the night were we see Ricky Johnson solidify his name into the NCW Hall of Fame? It's going to be fun to watch and see.
Aly Gardner has the chance to become the shortest reigning Starlets champion ever... an honor I'm sure she does not want. If Emma Danielson wins, she'll have the neat fact of being the person who ended the longest World title reign, and the shortest. Just something to think about and be on the look out for.
CLOSING
First off, I just want to apologize for this week's column being kinda short. Not to get too much into my personal life here, but a close friend and family member of mine was put in intensive care today and I'm not all there, it was a fight to get this up, but here it is for you.
Do I know who Rob Diamond's partner is? No I do not. I can tell you that it won't be Zelda for anybody who has bee predicting it so there's your hint. However here's another little game I have for you; Anybody who can PM my Kelly Knite account on the official NCW message boards with the correct guess, will get a special call out in my Knitelife column next week as well.
Jonas Potter and Rayne both have a chance to win their first ever NCW championship. Rayne has only had one other shot when she was in a Handicap cage match, teaming with Tara Fenix against Zelda, and this could be a great moment for her. Jonas Potter, has climbed the ranks so fast that he's made people sprain their necks as they double taked to see who he was.
Well fans that's all I have for this week, I hope you enjoy another great pay per view chosen by you, and I hope you come back here next week for all your NCW news and behind the scene coverage...
Until next time
KELLY KNITE
OOC: The stuff about a family member is true, so yes, it's been a tough day. Also, just submit your answers as yourself, or a made up name for fun, it'll be a neat little feature I'm thinking of adding in for some interaction.
