"How old are you?"
Holding my own camera, I aimed it towards myself... I felt puzzled by some of the things that Trish had said about me, and the things that she had tried to blame me for. It seems that the business has lost a lot of the respect that it once had --- the businesss is now full of hypocrites.
"There's something about you, Trish... Once, I was pleased to step into the ring with you. I was pleased to be able to tell the entire world that I defeated a former two-time World Starlets Champion in the middle of the ring! How did you react to a loss? You decided to assault me. You decided to attack me before a match, and what was your reason for attacking me prior to our match?"
What was it? I tapped my chin, rolling my eyes upward while pretending to think about this question. What was her reason? Oh, I remember...
"Because I talked about you?"
I couldn't help but emphasize that word, because it was true... I did talk about her... but the words that she heard were not from me. Until now.
"Did you not listen to what I said? Or did you throw your remote control through the TV when you heard your name get mentioned... Let me rewind that tape for you..."
I took the camera over to the television, and allowed the viewers to see what I was doing... I leaned down and pressed the button to open the DVD drive, and put the disc in before closing it. It shows up exactly where I had it paused when I was watching over it for the first time, to make sure that what I remember saying was exactly what I said.
"Watch this."
Play. I tap the button to let the DVD start playing from the point...
I press the pause button, and turn my handheld back towards myself.
"Did you listen to it this time? Did you hear that I called you the best woman on the roster, that is under contract? Did you hear that I entrusted you? I didn't hear one word of disrespect... this is disrespect, though. What I'm about to say. I typically don't listen to what Kelly Fox has to say for my own personal reasons, but she did say something that was true about you...
Not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
You're proving it with these crappy little nicknames that you think you have the right to start handing out. Fed-X?
Really?
...
Really?
...really?
I mean...
REALLY?
That has to be one of the dumbest insults I've heard. It's like you're competing with Shaquille O'Neal on who can come up with the worst insults. At least there's something that you can win at, because when it comes to wrestling, it's not something you're going to beat me at."
I can't help but mock her.
"Screwed up moves and all."
A smirk crosses my face.
"I'm still better than you."
My voice lifts as I said that.
"All of your talk... all it is, is stale. You can't back up the words that you say, and you have this mental disorder where you think that if someone mentions your name anymore, they're automatically insulting you. If you ask me, that sounds like you have a bit of a guilty conscious. Is that what it is, Trish? A guilty conscious? Do you know that you don't have what it takes to step into the ring with anyone? Is that why you've fallen? You went from being the first-ever woman to hold the NCW World Starlets Championship on two occasions, to... dark match, after... dark match, after... dark match.
You're not on the level you once were, and you're not on my level.
Not only are you not on my level, but I'm starting to get this sudden feeling... of jealousy. I see it in your eyes, when you look at me. When you look at my fiancé, and know that you're never going to have him --- because, simply put, you could never handle him. Greatness recognizes greatness, and that's what he saw in me... that's what I saw in him. We are the best at what we do, and that's why I think that you want to be in my shoes. You want to be the best.
You want everybody in the back to completely ignore you, not because they don't respect you... but because they fear you. It's a power that few of us have, but it's something that I see the moment that I walk into that locker room. From the likes of you, to the likes of Shelly-Taylor Jones. You know what I've gone through to get to where I'm standing. You know that I'm going to keep going until I'm dead!"
Something crosses my mind.
"Although..."
Should I say it?
"There's something about my family that you don't know."
I should.
"The Docherty clan, not even death can keep us down!"
Chris is going to hate me for that one.
"This war, it's something that you started... you threw the first shot. The only thing that I do is retaliate. I beat you in the middle of the ring on my very first match back, and you... well, Trish, you have pissed me off! That's why when Sunday comes, Nothing To Lose, no one is going to recognize you when I leave you in that ring, lying in a pool of your own blood... when you're staring at the lights, and you know that I am the better wrestler. That I beat you.
When you recognize me as being what I say I am...
The Queen of Queens! The true Queen of New Championship Wrestling, and truly... the greatest.
Nothing is going to change, Trish. Not this Sunday, not ever. I am better than you, and I'm going to focus on the real world --- I'm going to focus on ruling this world! You can go back to your fantasy world, go back to your World of Warcraft, where your kingdom... your empire... exists. Because this world, it's mine.
You may be the Queen of the World, but you answer to me. The Queen of Queens."
I shut the camera off.
{Scene is over.}

As for Trish Newborn, the same thing goes to you. As I said, under contract, you are the best woman on the roster! I've found out what you're capable of, just as you have found out what I'm capable of. We both know that we're great inside of the ring --- and that's why I'm not worried when I step into the ring at Collision. I know that I can trust my partners to get in the ring and get their job done...
I press the pause button, and turn my handheld back towards myself.
