I hope everybody had a great three day weekend, for those of you who work, and I hope that it was made even better with a good two days of NCW surprise and action. We brought to you a great week of wrestling and I really honestly hope it was to your liking, all except that part where I got speared into the damn mat... I hope you hated that as much as I did. No that's not supposed to be funny, it hurt. Now lets move past what happened to me and lets talk about how big of a douche bag DDK is... no I'm kidding. I'm not going to give that jerk the time of day.
With two pay per views coming up so close to each other this go around many wondered how NCW was going to keep things flowing and not seeming rushed, and I mean they were valid points because sometimes things get lost in the shuffle when we have to push things so fast, but hell I think we've done a great job here. All the feuds and fights seem really intense, seem full of emotion and all together just feel good, you know? We saw that Ricky and Steve most likely aren't finished with each other, and I don't know about any of you, but I was really hoping to catch those two go at it one more time, especially after how the first match ended. Rob Diamond has really taken a dark turn, I don't even know what to say about him... he was always a kind of emo douch bag, except when it came to Zelda, but now... this is just, I don't know, but it's not a good turn, he's even making my stomach turn.
With all that action and excitement kicking off the week after a big fan choice pay per view, I just know that Battle Grounds is going to shape up to be something really great. There are still a few things I hope we can get settled before then, like who will be facing Jonas Potter for the Honor Championship, who is going to step up and challenge Roberto Verona for the National title, and what is the deal with Trent Helms? We don't know any of those answers, but if we can get them squared away before Battle Grounds I think BG just might be one of the best NCW PPV's ever with how things are going right now.
This week we're going to get at least one answer though, we'll get to see what Opportunity has in store for their rematch against the BWA. It was a surprise announcement, but Opportunity seized their chance and it looks like BWA will have to fight them on their terms. This could spell doom for most other teams, but if any team is willing to tackle that problem head on, it will be Ayla and Rayne. Also, we'll find out the answer to last week's poll! Yeah, a bit dramatic, but whatever. Last week I asked what was your favorite match from the pay per view and we got a neck to neck horse race is what we got. Steve versus Ricky managed to barely pull out a victory there in the end, but I think it's a great sign to everybody who works so hard in this company that so many other matches were right on their heels. In NCW you always have a chance to showcase your talents, it's why we're the best.
RECAP AND REVIEW
//WHAT I LIKED//
The match between Falcon and Jonas Potter was a very good matchup between two great NCW Stars. Jonas Potter was like the young and hungry while Falcon was the well traveled veteran who has seen it all. Falcon came out on top at the end of the day, but if there was anybody who had their doubts about Jonas before, they shouldn't now.
I loved seeing Ricky Johnson coming out and making his presence known. The match was supposed to be about Rob and Andrew taking on the tag team champions, it was supposed to be about Jacobsen taking on the person who gave him the leadership of the Young Guns, it was supposed to be about Venom making his return to NCW but Ricky Johnson made it about him and his battle for the world title. I like it when people show that kind of confidence and bravado.
Speaking of Ricky Johnson, I loved seeing Roberto Verona beating him. Not because I particularly care when I see Ricky Johnson lose, but because I love (as evidenced by Jonas Potter) seeing young guys step up their game and there isn't much stepping up from what Roberto Verona faced. Seeing him do what he dose best was a great sight.
Everybody knows how much I love seeing Tara Fenix lose, and I especially like it when she gets embarrassed by a blonde bimbo who is obsessed with breasts. Ha ha Tara. Couldn't have been better unless it was Trish Newborn.
Then finally, I only have one thing to say.. KLB versus Spike Kane. It was freaking fantastic, the end.
//WHAT I DIDN'T//
Well lets just get it out of the way shall we? I didn't like being kissed by Curtis Kanyon at all, ok? It was disgusting and his breath reeks and it was disgusting, I don't care that I already said that. I also didn't appreciate being handled like that, he should be fired for what he did, but instead he gets a worse punishment.. he gets to be in the ring by me, and I don't care... he's getting kicked right in the nuts.
Stephanie Sanderson... what were you thinking? Can't get focused in on one aspect of a match, you constantly have to have your head in the game. You found out exactly why you never taken your eyes of your opponent, and Opportunity lived up to their name.
Trent Helms. Yeah I'm fully prepared to get a few “masquito bites” and “I got to second base” comments and most likely with a few slut jokes for this, but I don't care. Trent Helms is better than this petty crap over not being put into the Hall of Fame... guess what Trent, you've had what? Less than 40 matches in NCW and have had say a year of total action in NCW? That's why you're not in the Hall, get over it.
Brad Kane showing up drunk. I'm sorry, I know you love celebrating with your wife and it must have been fun, but you don't show up drunk. I'm glad you got fined, I would have doubled it if it was me, so feel lucky.
//THE FAB FIVE//
5. SARAH RICHARDSON: Another week and another good win for Sarah Richardson. In a short span of time she's beaten one of the top women wrestlers in the world today and a former NCW World champion. Not a bad start to her NCW career.
4. CRYSTAL HILTON: Just because she was facing Roxi who tried to screw her man out of the World championship on the pay per view. Crystal and Steve got the last laugh it seems, that is until Ricky came out and got under Steve's skin again.
3. FALCON: He was facing likely the hottest and fastest rising NCW star today and he didn't let that stop him from teaching the doctor a lesson in wrestling. Falcon pulled out an impressive victory and proved that he's still one of the best.
2. ROBERTO VERONA: He fought Ricky Johnson the week after RJ was a hair away from winning the world title, it was a hard fought victory and one of the biggest matches of the night, impressive victory.
1. TRENT HELMS: Closest you're getting to the Hall of Fame, so enjoy it while it lasts.
REAL #1. SPIKE KANE: Spike got his revenge on KLB from when Bates snuck out of a pay per view with Spike's honor title around his waist. Of course Spike had to resort to playing in a match that caters to his “God of Xtreme” moniker to do so, but end of the night it was still the best match of the week.
//THE RUNDOWN//
It was a very good two shows I thought. Trauma had some very good matches and probably the single best match of the week with KLB versus Spike Kane. Collision continued along the path that Trauma set with it with a few things I didn't care for. I didn't like Curtis Kanyon's actions, espcially since they happened to me, screw Joe Everyman as much as you want, but don't you lay a ***damn finger on me. Overall though the bad wasn't enough to overshadow the good so I have to give the shows a good grade this week, everybody was a solid 8.3 on my scale.
PREVIEW AND PREDICTIONS
//BREAKDOWN//
LAST WEEK'S RECORD::11-6
OVERALL RECORD:: 303-98
Well there we are, my 300th correct prediction, and I got there before I hit 100 so I'll call that a very good win seeing as how I'm hovering at about 75% correct prediction rate which is freaking awesome. However, even with getting 11 correct this week, six is just way too many for me, I need to stop slacking off and stop getting almost the entire webshow wrong, that hurt. This week I make no promises or bets, because we saw how that last one turned out, but I do intend to up my average some.

//WHAT TO KEEP AN EYE ON//
Well, just look at that main event, if I have to tell you what's worth watching there, then you've not been following NCW that long. Two of NCW's biggest names and two men who have been here for a very long time. Mainstays of NCW television and both very successful wrestlers. It's going to be a huge main event that belongs on pay per view, but you get to see it for free!
Come on, I might be a bit biased here, but the sexiest woman in NCW and her husband are both returning to an NCW ring?! You know that is worth watching, YOU KNOW IT! Cough... sorry about that. Anyway, that's right, yours truly is stepping into the NCW ring and Adam is joining me. You'll definitely want to keep an eye on that, notably for when I kick Curtis in the nuts.
Last week on Trauma Roxxxie can pretty much point to Stephanie Sanderson brain farting as the reason they lost their match (besides the fact that she got pinned) and this week they'll be pitted against one another inside the ring. The question is, will this be a friendly match between friends and tag team partners or is Amy holding a grudge over that loss and is going to make this match more personal?
Really? Jimmy Zane verus Roberto Verona, two former members of the guns and two current NCW champions. Both men are also on nice winning streaks as well, so it should be extra good just on the fact that they've both been at the top of their games lately. It'll be a can't miss match, there is no denying it. The only question is much like the question before this one... are they going to have a clean respectful match because of their past ties, or is this going to be a straight up brawl? Oh I like this.
//CLOSING//
Got some huge news for you here... you know how before I would just take matches here and there and haven't really been inside an NCW ring for some time. Well I'm sick of hearing how I'm “just a commentator” or just a “columnist”... it's time that I went full time with this wrestler thing. That's right, The Original Starlet... is here bitches.
I'll still be fulfilling my other duties, because I can, so suck it.
When did Trent Helms become such a douche bag?
At least I didn't have to kiss Joe Everyman.
Am I the only one who thought it was a bit odd seeing two former HONOR champions wrestling in the main event of Trauma in a No DQ match? Great match however.
God I love me some Ricky Johnson.
Still can't believe what we're seeing from Rob Diamond. He's taking a turn I fear that he can't return from.
Well fans that's all I have for you here tonight, I hope you enjoyed it and I'll be here next week, hopefully after a big win.
Until next time...
