August 13, 2011.
Trauma.
It was the first time that I would step into the ring with the X Champion, a man that could very well be seen as the greatest reigning champion in New Championship Wrestling! A man who proclaims himself to be the greatest reigning champion in New Championship Wrestling... there's no denying it, the man backs his sh*t up. A man who did more than just win a championship, this is a man who changes the lives of the people that he steps into the ring with.
Once he's done with them.
They're never the same, again.
That night, I was no different. I remember walking to the ring... my head was high, I was arrogant. I felt like there was no possible way that this man, Xander Famularo, didn't have a chance at beating me. Alex Jones was sitting backstage, and as I was getting ready to walk by, he lifted his head... he looked right at me, and he wished me luck. He told me that I was going to be facing a great champion, a man feeling pretty hot since he had recently regained the X Championship --- I shrugged him off, and told him that I wouldn't need it.
Boy, was I wrong.
I walked out to the ring, and before I knew what hit me --- Xander Famularo pinned my shoulders to the canvas in the middle of the ring, and was announced the winner.
Like I said.
I was no different.
Before I stepped into that ring, I had my head in the clouds... I didn't respect anybody, because nobody respected me. In my mind, I was the very best that this company had to offer! I was above the X Championship. If I had stuck it out years earlier, like I've said before, I could be competing for the World Championship... the fact of the matter is that I didn't, and I'm not those things.
You pulled me back down to ground zero.
You pulled my head out of the clouds, and regardless of what you say... regardless of what you believe... that night, I changed. You were there, Xander, you should remember how I was walked back down to that ring, forced to get inside of the ring with you --- and shake your hand. There were options, Xander. Even with you and Alex Jones at either end of me, I didn't have to shake your hand...
I chose to shake your hand.
I wanted to shake your hand.
It was an honor to shake your hand.
It was an honor to be in the ring with you.
It's even more of an honor to get a second chance.
This is a second chance for me, Xander, to change your opinion of me... to let you know that I've really changed. But... there's something about me that hasn't changed... I still have that same obsession that keeps bringing me back into the industry, and into the company. I have the same obsession that has made so many people hate me --- and it still does.
I still have that obsession with gold!
That's why, when I walk into that ring... do I want to walk out with your respect, and the respect of the fans, once again? Yes. I do. I want you to be able to look at me, shake my hand, and... I'm not going to say it... I'm not going to say that you'll know I'm the better man.
I know it.
Just as much as you.
I'm NOT the better man!
It's not going to stop me from walking out of that ring as the X Champion... it's not going to stop me from walking out of the ring with your respect. I hope, Xander, I really hope that when this match is all said and done --- when I'm getting my arm raised, and announced as the brand new X Champion --- you will stand in the middle of that ring, and you'll give me the same respect that I gave you on Trauma.
That you will shake my hand.
You're not my only opponent this time, Xander. But you're the one with the target on your back... you're the one with the title around your waist. You're the one who is going to lose something if you don't walk out as the winner of this match. That's the perk that all of us have that you don't...
When we walk down to that ring, we have everything to gain. Nothing to lose, but another opportunity. This is an opportunity that I'm going to capitalize on, one that I won't let slip away. This is going to be my time to wear gold around my waist... again...
All the respect that I have for you, Xander, the respect that you beat into me... believe me when I tell you that when I do walk out of Battle Grounds as the new X Champion, I'm not going to tarnish what you've built. I'm going to make sure that the X Championship keeps the prestigious ground that you've given it.
When that bell rings, I want you to know that I can do just that.
I'm not going to doubt your ability, even as the big man, to be able to go across those ropes... and grab your championship. Grab the X Championship. I think that if there's any big man on the roster that can do it, it'll be you... I'm not even going to question your determination. You want this generation to be a great generation, you want it to finally come out of the shadow that many of the veterans have cast over it! That's why it's important to you that you hold this championship... it's important to you that you keep this championship...
You're determined.
The only thing that I can say is that I'm just that much more determined! This is my second time returning... my third trip back to New Championship Wrestling... and I'm going to make it a damn good one.
Trauma.

{Inside of a training facility, Alex Jones and Seth Evans are standing inside of a ring... both men are in their casual clothes. Alex Jones wearing a black graphic shirt, with cargo shorts. Seth Evans wearing a plain black shirt, with a hoodie over it zipped only halfway up, faded blue jeans, and sunglasses. On the apron of the ring, we see Kiela standing there as she appears to be almost awestruck by what she sees... The camera pans out a little to see what it is that Seth and Alex are doing, and it is revealed to be the Assault X structure. A tall steel pole at each corner, with the rope going from one corner to the next creating an "X" over the ring. Alex grabs one of the poles, and gives it a slight tug to make sure it's firm, while Seth crosses his arms over his chest and just looks at all of the features of the Assault X. He turns his attention to Alex Jones, and takes a few steps forward.}
Seth:
"Dude, you've been in a lot of these throughout your career..."
{Seth's voice trails off a little, his mind solely on his upcoming match for the X Championship.}
Alex:
"This pretty much defined the entire X-Division, back in the day. It's going to be brutal, man... but you have to bring all of your cards to the table, and give everything you've got. It's going to take everything out of you, and more."
{Alex says, occasionally turning his head over his shoulder to glance at Seth and try to get an idea of what he might be thinking by the expression on his face. Seth just nods his head, and lets out a sigh... you can tell Kiela is worried just by the way that she's looking at all of the match features.}
Alex:
"There's a couple other guys in the ring like you, Seth."
{Alex turns towards Seth.}
Alex:
"You guys will have the advantage walking into this match, because this one doesn't favor raw power. It favors agility and speed. The most important thing that it does favor, is... determination..."
{Seth smirks at this comment, knowing full well how determined he is to win this match. Knowing full well how determined he is to walk out as the X Champion. He took a few steps forward, then turned away and walked towards Kiela... his eyes met hers, and he could see the worry in them. Alex Jones turned away to continue checking the poles and ropes to make sure that nothing was going to come loose. Getting right up to Kiela, Seth began talking to her.}
Seth:
"You okay?"
{The traditional smirk was still on his face, one that he couldn't help but wear when he saw Kiela. Or even just thought of her. She shook her head for a moment.}
Kiela:
"I don't know if I want you to participate in this... it looks really dangerous..."
Seth:
"Babe. That's wrestling. There's many other types of matches out there that are a lot more dangerous than this."
Kiela:
"Can't you see about dropping out of this and maybe facing the winner?"
Seth:
"No, I can't. You know what I want to do... you know that I want to be the best... if I tried to back out of a match like this, then I don't belong in the ring. It's as simple as that. I'm going to be okay... you don't need to worry."
{Her eyes made the statement to him very clear.}
Kiela:
"I'm always going to worry."
{Silence between them... until Alex Jones is heard just off the camera, and the camera quickly pans over to see him.}
Alex:
"We've got less than a week to get you ready for this, man. We better get started."
{Keeping his eyes on Kiela, Seth does reply back.}
Seth:
"Yeah. Let's get started."
{He leaned forward to try and kiss Kiela, but she dropped off the apron... she walked to the nearest bench to take a seat, and try to calm down, but she couldn't help herself from being worried about what might happen to him --- it wasn't very long ago that Angel had been sidelined due to not being able to defend himself because of what this match had done to him. The good news for Seth was that no one was gunning for him. Seth's eyes lingered a moment longer on his girlfriend, while placing his hand to his zipper and unzipping the hoodie the rest of the way... he hangs it onto the top rope before turning towards Alex, and finding out what training drills Alex has planned for him to make sure he's ready for this. The scene fades.}
