I'm throwing this up to give a general idea of what I'm working on and to restart all the mess of what I had done and to go through the process piece by piece the right way. That said, feel free to contribute thoughts, ideas, and anything you might think helpful.

NES themed nCw video game complete with 8bit soundtrack.
1 v 1 themed game play((Other modes pending)).
Expanding Roster from testing stages of one or two characters to roughly twenty to thirty.
Wrestlers each having a set of statistics that determine damage, stamina, and other such important figures on a scale one to five or one to ten
Move number per character yet to be determined.
Each Character to be unique(even if sprite sets are simply recolored.) in statistics and move sets.
Commentary Feature(which should be simple enough to program(though tedious to write))

Controls
-Eight Directions of Movement((Double tap on left and right for running))
-Other Buttons: Strikes(A), Grab(B), Taunt(Select), Pause(Start)
-Moves performed by Grabbing an opponent and quickly tapping move combinations? Still working out this detail in my head
Health
-Damage accumulated during a match will be an invisible number that starts at zero. This number will be a percentage. Each attack will deal its damage(a) plus it's damage(a) times this percentage(b).
(a+(a*b))
Example: Punch = 1 damage vs. No Damage (1+(1*0) = 1 Damage Done. Player Damage is now 1.
The next punch will look like this (1+(1*0.01) = 1.01 Damage Done. Player Damage is now 2.01(1+1.01)
-Taunting will heal a little but only a tiny smidgeon. .1% of your total damage? We'll see when it comes time to do everything.
