It has been reported by sources with NCW that wrestler Nathan Webb a.k.a. "The Cold Spider," has been involuntarily to Hill Crest Mental Hospital in Jefferson County, Alabama near the hospital where Nathan Webb was admitted after suffering serious injuries after his match on Collision this past Sunday against the Ace.
This admission to a mental facility came after the guidence and direction of Dr. Gregory Fisher who is the psychiatrist for the Conway family, as well as the blessing of the NCW management staff. This advice was given by Dr. Fisher after being contacted by "The Ace" himself with news of the events which he says he witnessed after his match with Nathan Webb leading up to the injuries he recieved.
According to the Ace after that match on Sunday, "I saw Nathan pacing around backstage mumbling to himself and than all of a sudden started hitting the back of his head against the wall." He than stated that "I went to help Nathan, to keep him from further hurting himself at which time out of he ran away and stumbled down a flight of steps. At which time I ran to get help while Mercedes Vargas tended to Nate calling for help in the immediate area."
With the past issues of Nathan Webb's mental wellness along with the events that were reported to transpire on Sunday Doctor Fisher said that he was "obligated to admit Mr. Webb to ensure that he did not further pose a danger to himself and the New Championship Wrestling staff and wrestlers," and that based on the honest and caring track record that Mr. Conway has he should be lauded as a hero for showing the courage neccessary to ensure the health and well being of a fellow wrestler."
Nathan Webb himself is still unconscious after suffering these injuries but the doctors spoken to at the hospital from where he was transfered from said that they felt despite the grimm circumstances now, Nathan should awake soon and will more than likely make a full recovery from his physical injuries. As far as the extent of the injuries go Doctors also commented saying that it was highly "unlikely," that these injuries were self iunflicted and that his head injuries could not be from "banging his head against the wall and also that Nathan probably did not trip down a flight of stairs."
The Ace rebuked these assertians as baseless, unture and biased based on what had transpired previously with the Ace ending the career of NCW superstar Venom and that he did not do what he did (having Nathan Webb admitted to a mental hospital) to prove a point to Mr. Verona and the rest of the wrestlers with New Championship Wrestling and that anybody believing that are buying into unfounded rumors made to demonize him and ruin his reputation as an elite athlete in the wrestling industry.
"If the doctors feel differently than fine," The Ace says. "But in the end I know what I saw and nobody can tell me otherwise. In the end I had to do something to ensure the safety of Nathan Webb, myself, my family and the good people here at NCW. We need to ensure that Nathan gets all the medical and psychological treatment that he can to ensure a full recovery, so that we all can continue to practice our trade in the safest work enviroment possible."
While the facts are still being sorted out Nathan Webb has already been transfered to Hill Crest where he will get further medical treatment there and begin psychiatric counseling under Dr. Natasha Riley who was recommended by Dr. Fisher himself.
More to come from this story as it comes in.
