Spike TV Season 1 Episode 1.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That's right ladies and gentlemen, The God of Xtreme has been forced to retire from in ring competition, however the big wigs of nCw, which I guess is now Kelly Knite.....wow....yeah, she basically gave me her old job. No, I won't be commentating but it may be something I might look into in the future. It's pretty funny actually because my relationship, if you can even call it that, with Kelly Fo-ahem....Knite has been a little bit here, and a little bit there. I mean she did cost me my world title, but eh....water under the bridge, right?
I can't complain, she gave me a nice simple job that I can do where I still get to be on the airwaves and reach all you fine people and still get the paycheck to support my family. However, this is the first edition of the new weekly nCw TV show that will feature things very similar to the Kniteline....or exactly the same, sue me....however not every week, but hopefully at least every other week (once a month at least) we will be airing the “Straight Shootin'” interviews as part of the show, the first one for your viewing is airing next week with the Riot Winner himself, Todd Williams!
With that said, I just want to thank everyone once again for the brilliant send off I was given last night. It was my pleasure to wrestle for nCw for a good few years off and on. Wrestling is a cruel mistress, but I like to think I left with some fond memories, and I left some great memories in the hearts and minds of you.
That being said, what a pay per view that was. Time to Riot certainly kicked 2012 off in a pretty damn epic way. We saw the Dragon's Den, which I don't like to toot my own-no wait, I do...WAS AWESOME!!! We had new tag team and new starlets tag team champions! Lex Sense seems to finally have put an end to the Age of X.....and the biggest curveball of them all...
The Hierarchy. What the hell can I say? I'm torn to be honest, because I believe the very things Roberto Verona has been fighting against has taken another step with these guys taking over and I support Robbie....but.....Kelly gave me a job.
Damn.
Well this weeks poll is pretty simple post ppv type stuff, what was your favourite match from last sunday;s show?
~Best Match~[/u]
THE RIOT – As much as I'd like to self promote and push that mofo till you all accept it for the awesomeness it was, everything was overshadowed by the Riot match at Time to Riot. Which to be honest, is how it should be. Thirty guys who should be giving it their all to win a world heavyweight title shot. You don't give it your all? Well get lost. Kudos to everyone involved, it was mind blowing.
~Worst Match~
T.E.D. Vs THE INTERNATIONALS Vs THE MYSTERY GANG – Honestly, this is just so that I could pick one, it wasn't that bad off a match. I just hate the Internationals and really didn't get to see enough of the Mystery Gang, which is frustrating.
~High Points~[/u]
Ending my career in the match that arguably made my career in the first place, with a person who I think is vastly under-rated. A friend who has been there for me for seven long years, a guy who helped push me into the main event and never said a bad word about me being there. It was an honor, it was fun.....and it still hurts!
The fact that a completely inept team that do not get on in the slightest are still good enough to beat PoP. Ha! I really don't like them.
The Lex / Angel saga finally coming to a brutal and fitting end, at least it seems that way anyway. These two have had an amazing feud over the past months, which I am a little bitter about because it overshadowed mine and AJ's, but can you complain? They tore it up and threw in a Match of the Year candidate for 2012 on the very first day of the year. Let's hope Lex can capitalise on this epic victory.
The Riot. Not who won, not who lost, just the Riot itself. It was so entertaining and so well done, props to everyone involved it was truly amazing and a great way to kick off the 2012 Main Events.
JACK HAMMOND!
~Low Points~[/u]
T.E.D. Losing the tag titles to that pair of idiots the Internationals. Yeah, I'm talking to you two hombres. It was nice seeing Mark Evil, sorry...Markus Reeves putting boots to asses, and he dragged Matt Jackson up there with him kicking and screaming.
The Heirarchy – Seriously, this is bad news for everyone on the roster. Adam, Gib, Xander, Zelda, and potentially Kelly Knite? The balance of power has shifted in a very dangerous way because they were unstoppable before, and now they have the entire power of nCw behind them.....dark days indeed.
Todd Williams winning the Riot. Oh, I'm sorry did that annoy you? It's no secret that I don't like Todd Williams, last time we were in the ring I beat ten shades of crap out of him. So why should I be happy that he won? Why should I root for the guy? I don't like him....but he won, congratulations of course because it takes a hell of a lot of skill, desire, and effort to win a match like that.....but I can't wait for Xander to kick your sister slapping ass.
My version of the fab five. The five people who stood out this last week.
5: THE INTERNATIONALS: Begrudgingly, damn douche-nozzels, but hey they are the new tag team champions, so without further ado.....congrats.
4: MERCEDES AND ASHLIE: They can't work together but they are the Starlets Tag Team Champions. That is just priceless, almost shades of Trent and I capturing the tag titles in the past.
3: ROBERTO VERONA: Dude had a great showing in the Riot and came out with the most eliminations, that kiddies, is impressive.
2: LEX SENSE: Lex not only managed to defeat Angel in a buried alive match but had a good showing in the Riot itself too being the runner up!
1: TODD WILLIAMS: Yeah I don't like him, but I'm not biased here, Todd won the effing Riot biznitches!
It feels like forever since the Honor Title was on the line, and to be honest it's been pretty boring sitting around the waist of Ander Boretti. Seriously.....kid bores me, time for Laszlo to bring some prestige back to the Honor Division.
COLLISION
SINGLES MATCH
Jack Hammond vs. Alex Jones
Alex has to still be hurting, so he won't be 100% even though Hammy is the returning wonder kid, the ring rust combined with Alex's anger just won't be enough.
SINGLES MATCH
Lex Sense vs. Nathan Webb
SINGLES MATCH
Jackhammer vs. Doc
NCW STARLETS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
What an epic weekend of wrestling three title matches within twenty four hours! I'd have to be an idiot not to pick Kelly when she gave me this job, in fact if I didn't she'd probably fire me.
NCW X CHAMPIONSHIP
Gjenrei vs. Dexter Davis
Goodbye Dexter....
MAIN EVENT
MIXED TAG TEAM MATCH
Xander Famularo and Zelda Knite vs. Todd Williams and Jennifer Williams
[color=red[So this years Wrestler of the Year and last years Wrestler of the Year? Sorry Todd, I don't care how much momentum you have right now, you're about to get destroyed kid.[/color]
So the Hierarchy are out to prove a point on Collision by taking on the Williams siblings in arguably the most one sided match I've seen since the cardboard cut-out of Lance Ryan beat Trent Helms.
That Honor Title match could well and truly be a show stealer, and I'm hoping for a new champion baby!
Hammond looks to make a huge upset return against Alex Jones, who hasn't recovered from our epic encounter quite yet, so the cards could fall anywhere on the table.
I know the Riot burned a lot of you out because you put a lot of effort into it, but you didn't win, so get over it and get back to work. Taking time off to nurse your ego won't help....get in the damn ring and prove that you deserved to win, prove you deserve to be fighting for the world title. Like I always say, talk is cheap.....
Till next time folks, I am your grateful host, Spike Kane. Enjoy the great week of wrestling coming your way and I'll see you back here next Wednesday for Spike TV!
