Speaking from the heart....might mean trouble
“The Sexy One” Jason Evans is sitting at a desk in his hotel room in Arlington Texas. He is shirtless. He is about to do something that he has never done before.
Jason Evans:
Mike, you said that you are better than me. What makes you think that you are better than me? Cause you are the nCw Honor Champion?
“The Sexy One” Jason Evans stops talking for a bit. He is thinking how to word his next comment. What he is about to say might get management pissed off.
Jason Evans:
I would agree that you are better than me. Not in the wrestling ring, but in kissing ass. You must have done an excellent job with someone on the nCw staff.
“The Sexy One” Jason Evans stopped talking again. He looks around the room and then right back at the camera.
Jason Evans:
Now, I am not just going to say that and leave it alone. I am going to back up what I just said. What have you done to make you deserving of a title shot for the Honor Championship?
Jason waits for a second. Then he begins to speak.
Jason Evans:
Not a damn thing! In fact, you had a shot at the Honor Champion and did not show up. Then you get another shot and you become the Honor Champion because of me. So that brings me to the conclusion that you were kissing up to someone on staff, that they allow you a second chance after you no show the first time. Now who was the number 1 contender to the Honor Champion who got by pass and who will not kiss staff's ass? How did I become the number 1 contender to the Honor Champion? I stepped into the ring with 5 other wrestlers during a Showcase match and I won the match. In fact, Mike you were not included in that Showcase match. So how in the hell did you get a chance before the number 1 contender? Whose ass are you kissing Mike? Is it worth it? Not only did I have to prove myself by winning the showcase match, Bob Greiner could not accept the fact that he could not live up to his words. Again Mike what made you deserving a shot at the Honor Championship?
“The Sexy One” Jason Evans stands up and walks away from the desk.
Jason Evans:
Mike, I am glad you are going to be focused on our match. That way when I have the Honor Championship around my magnificent waist there are no excuses that you can come up with. The only excuse that you could come up with will be the same one that Bob Greiner would have said. He just could not back up his talk. Mike, are you all talk? Are you willing to back up your words? You see Mike, I have already proven to all of the fans that you are not deserving of being the Honor Champion. I just stated facts that prove my point. This Sunday is the Super Bowl. One of the team will become the Champion. This Sunday at Metamorphosis there will be a new Honor Champion. I have proven my point with the facts and this Sunday I will prove my points with my action.
Jason looks in the mirror that is hanging on the wall. He wonders how management is going to take this.
Jason Evans:
I have worked hard to bring myself from the bottom of the ladder. I have worked hard to get a shot at the Honor Champion. So was I pissed off cause I was passed by? I can't lie and said that I wasn't. Mike, not only am I coming to take the Honor Championship belt from you, not only am I going to prove to the fans that you are not deserving, but I will be letting out some frustrations. I was on the bottom of the success ladder for so long that people have gotten used to overlook me. You see I have been the one that will not say much. I am the one that will do what he is told to do. As I move up I have enjoyed the move up. Some might say that I am becoming over confident. Someone might say that I am walking on thin ice. For so long I stayed in the “safe” zone. Look where it has kept me. It's time to speak up. It's time to show that “The Sexy One” Jason Evans belongs at the top. It starts with the Honor Championship Belt.
“The Sexy One” Jason Evans lets out a big sigh of relief. He raises his right arm and begins to flex. He holds the pose for a bit. He lower his arm back to his side and he flexes his pecs as he cell phone begins to ring. He reaches into his right pants pocket and pulls it out. He places it on speaker phone and we hear Crystal's voice on the other end. He walks away from the mirror and sits on the edge of the bed.
Crystal:
Steven, are you in Arlington? I know that nCw will be in Arlington this Sunday.
Jason Evans:
Of course I am in Arlington. I have a big match coming up this Sunday.
Crystal:
I have seen it on TV. It is some championship match. Steven we need to talk.
Jason Evans:
Can we talk after Sunday. This match is important. I need to stay focused on this match. I promise that we will talk after Sunday. I will stay in Arlington an extra day and listen to what you have to say.
There was silence. For a few second Crystal did not say anything. Then she spoke up.
Crystal:
This cannot wait until after Sunday. In fact, this is more important than your championship match. This is important that I feel like it should not be discussed over the phone. It is important that we should meet as soon as possible.
Jason Evans:
How about Friday evening. I will take you to dinner and I will sit there and listen to what you have to say. In fact, I will take you to Hooter's. I heard that they have great food. Let's meet at the one on Collins St. Let's say around 8:00p.m.
Crystal:
I should have known that you would want to go to Hooter's. Just promise me that you will be serious. Like you were when you were running Sexy Inc. I will see you at 8 on Friday.
As Crystal starts to hang up we hear a baby crying in the background. Then the line went silent. “The Sexy One” Jason Evans close his cell phone and places it back in his pocket.
Jason Evans:
What could be so important that Crystal needs to talk to me about. Nothing is going to take my focus off of becoming the Honor Champion. Mike, you talk a big talk. You said that you will beat me in the center of that ring. I will be there to prove you wrong.
'The Sexy One” Jason Evans leans backward on the bed. He stares up at the ceiling as the scene fades out.
