(The Cold Cut begins like it always does. The video is in black and white and has a grainy quality to it. Nathan himself is standing in the center frame in front of a blank wall wearing his usual attire; loose fitting jeans with a wallet chain attached, black t-shirt and a black leather jacket. Like usual Nathan is standing there with a lit cigarette, taking a drag and exhaling the smoke before he begins.)
Greetings to all my watchers there in internet land, and welcome to the latest installment of the Cold Cut. Here I actually talk to you the viewer, in as descriptive a way as possible, allowing your imaginations to work for you instead of simply using cheap props and bad puns to over saturate your thoughts.
This week I find myself in an interesting predicament. I find myself in a match that will push the fiber of my very being, testing me physically, testing my mental conviction, and testing my convictions to the task that is laid out before me which is the destruction of one Jake Conway.
This predicament was of my own accord; a position that no one else put me in other than me. I know there are questions concerning whether this was an act of desperation, and whether I was truly insane for making this challenge. Thinking about it there was probably a little of both subconsciously as I stood in that ring and doing what I did in making that challenge. The truth of the matter was that I really wanted to play and BEAT Jake Conway at his own game. Whether that was smart or dumb I will leave to you the individual to decide, but again the fact remains is that I have this match, and like a MAN I have every intention to go out there and fight and more importantly BEAT what I feel is the biggest bane of this organization.

So there on Sunday I will stand toe to toe with a man for lack of a better term is completely full of not only himself but full of IT, and by IT I think you all know what I really mean.
There I will stand face to face with a man so narcissistic and self absorbed that he is more than happy to justify any action he takes, no matter how vile and despicable, and not just justify it by happily blame another person for the pain he inflicted upon him. Here is a man, so vain he actually believes that he is the APEX of evolution. THE APEX. APEX which is Latin for peak or summit, as in the APEX predator is the top of the food chain. Jake Conway actually believes he is the APEX of Evolution, meaning that mankind will not evolve beyond what is the image of Jake Conway, mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, etc.
Now I know everyone in their right minds can see the very flaws in this egotistical statement.
First is the obvious flaw in your words. I am sure in some way I am rehashing what Roberto Verona said, to my chagrin, but Evolution is something in constant motion. On this world it never ceases. Think about where we have come from, from the single cell organisms that populated the Earth before there was any thought of man. Think about it, the plants, animals, and even human beings that everyone at times takes for granted, all came from just one single cell organism. Of course that process took billions upon billions of years, but to say it automatically ceases at least in terms of man simply because one MAN decrees that he is the APEX of what human beings can become. If it is truly the case that Jake Conway is the APEX of what man can truly become then I suggest you all drink the arsenic laced Kool-Aid because we are all ****ED!!! But knowing the rational human being, I know you all don’t believe the crap that this one man spews on a regular basis, and I am damn sure that you know that despite the ranting of this self-absorbed man that human kind has yet to reach its true potential. We will all continue to adapt, overcome and build upon the empire we have built. We will become better and leave Jake Conway in the cloud of dust he belongs.

Then there is this second set of flaws in this declaration of APEX of Evolution. Calling yourself the APEX means that not only you are the peak of mankind but you are its perfect specimen. If you were the APEX then we would see a man who is currently the World Title holder and not just the World Title holder but one that Xander couldn’t light a candle to. Unfortunately seeing that Xander is that World title holder and frankly I see his legacy shining far brighter than yours ever will. Truth be told, you, like the ordinary individual, are far from perfect. You have flaws like everyone else.
Yes Jake for being the self-proclaimed APEX of evolution, you are flawed. Not only that but you are full of deep contradictions and are a hypocrite.
You as a man pat yourself on the back for being a role-model to your kids but your actions are far from that. You shied away from the truth about my attack when you knew good and damned well what you did. Of course you would have taken your truth to the grave if Rose hadn’t showed you the evidence point blank in that very ring. But instead of finally owning up LIKE A MAN, you reacted like a coward by attacking myself and Rose who was just speaking up for what was RIGHT. Not convenient but RIGHT. But of course you have no concept of what is right and wrong do you?
No you don’t, because even then you didn’t take any responsibility for what you. In fact you went so far as to blame me for allowing Rose to do what she did; like it wasn’t even you that drug her by the hair and planted her in the ring. No, the Jake we all know wouldn’t put his hands on a woman especially after what happened when Spike Kane put his hands on Kathy. Especially after that caused Kathy to have a psychotic breakdown and possibly become the pill popping woman she is now. No, Jake Conway would never hurt another woman after that. Especially with the verbal tirade he lobbed at Spike after the incident. Guess what though? Jake Conway did, and yet and still what happened to Rose is somehow my fault?
Of course I was upset that I wasn’t able to protect Rose like I should have, like I had promised myself that I would but there was a still a measure of pride I have and always will have for what she did. She was ACTUALLY brave enough to bring truth to the daylight no matter what happened to her. She knew the risks of what she was doing, and still carries what happened to her like a badge of honor. Frankly she is more of a role model than you for actually standing up for what was right. Of course in your warped mind Kathy was perfectly fine in being in that ring, complicit in your plans, but Rose should have been nowhere near there, like she was a young child, or a fragile porcelain doll. Are you saying that Kathy, your wife, who is prone to mental troubles of her own, is more capable of taking care of herself than Rose is? After seeing how Rose has acted in contrast to your wife I would beg to differ.

You have the audacity to question my sanity but in the end I highly doubt you have any notion of what is right or wrong in the real world. In a lawful world. A world where morals and standards actual mean something. Is it me that needs to spend more time in a mental hospital, or is it you that needs to finally be admitted to one?
But then again it may not be the fact that you are insane leading you to do this. In fact I think it may be much more than that.

If there is one thing I see in you is fear. Yes Jake I see you as a fearful old man. You know you are approaching that age where you are getting too old for this game. You know your star is rapidly fading. You know that it has been a long time since you have been on the top and finally you know that while you scream from the mountain top about being mankind’s APEX, that you have been in a state of decline yourself. You don’t have much longer Jake and I think it scares the hell out of you. You may think I am afraid and in some small part you may be right, but I think you have way more fear inside of you than you could ever put onto me.
While you have offered rhetoric of why I just need to fold and get out while I still am intact I will be in fact taking a much different approach for our match on Sunday. On Sunday, in Cowboys’ Stadium I will be going all in, and not just going all in but doing so BLINDLY. I will blindly be going into this match not acting on logic and rational thought but going into acting on instinct and primal fury with all my chips on the table. I could have ended up with a 7-2 off suit, or I could have pocket aces, I wouldn’t know and I don’t really give a damn but truth be told I will be hitting you with everything I have, not giving a care about the consequences.
Do you remember Phreak? Not many do, but many remember that moment when I hit him with a leg drop off the titantron to put his sorry ass out of his misery. Just think about that and remember that I am more than willing to do that to you to ensure I finally put that stake in your heart where it belongs.
On Sunday I see your de-evolution coming. I see your dramatic drop-off from a vibrant human being to someone with the mental capacity of a Neanderthal. All I need is a couple of well placed shot to the head to accomplish that goal.
