The scene opens up in a dimly lit hallway in the back of the nCw arena. There is not much movement, but as the camera pans around, Joe Everyman can be seen standing near a table with Maria Williams at him side. As the camera moves further, it shows a television, with the last view seconds of Shaun Wilson's interview fading off the screen. As it fades, Joe and Maria turn around to find the camera.
Joe Everyman: Shaun...Shaun...Shaun. I just finished watching your interview, and I must say I'm impressed. You're not taking this tournament lightly, as nobody else is either. And, that is something I respect from you. But, there is something I don't respect about you...I actually think you already won the gold. That's kind of big coming from a man who is in the first match of the tournament. I mean, they obviously put us in ranking order somehow, putting the best later on and the struggling ones earlier. Now, I know, I have lost my last two matches, but they were aganist amazing opponents. But, looking at my match aganist you...well...it's money in the bank. See, I may win this tournament, I may lose this tournament, but as long as I beat you, I may just be happy enough. That doesn't mean I'm going to give up after I beat you, but you should get my point.
Joe and Maria start walking away from the table as the camera follows them both.
Joe Everyman: Momentum is a funny thing. It can either greatly help you or greatly hurt you. You say the momentum of beating me will help propel you to the finals already, when you need to realize the others in the tournament are be going to be doing the same thing. If you think you have won this tournament already, then you've got another thing comin'. But Shaun, I must say, if I were to lose to you, I would want you to win this whole tournament. It doesn't mean I want to lose to you, but I know you have the skill, the drive, the power, and the speed to win this thing. But, so do I...so I guess it is good that they pinned us together.
Joe and Maria finally come to their locker room and turn around to face the camera.
Joe Everyman: So, in regards to my opponent this Saturday...I just want to say good luck...'cause you're ganna need it. I'm going to be coming into this tougher than ever, faster than ever and more prepared than ever. See, when I get myself into championship mode, nothing can stop me. Many have tried to take me down when I've held a title or been going for a championship...and all have failed. I have defeated old rivals, I have defeated new rivals, I have defeated friends, I have defeated enemies...and it looks like you will be next. So Shaun, lets show them something special out there. Let's show them what the X-Division is suppost to be like...let's show the rest of the division how it's done.
Joe opens the door and Maria walks in, but Joe stays in the door way and turns around and faces the camera again.
Joe Everyman: And when smoke clears and the dust settles, you will be one Twist of Fate away from losing this entire thing...and I will be one step closer to proving my worth here...see ya Saturday night.
Joe then walks into the locker room as the camera fades out.
