Still amazing. If something is still good, why change it?

Still amazing. If something is still good, why change it? 4 YEars Ago on the Gamecube, it was good becuase everything else sucked, there is no valid reason to be unable to move will aiming. At least a strafe would be nice...

The controls for RE4 are good, and if the game was released TODAY on the 360, PS3 and Wii, it would still be just as good, proubly better. But of course, these are forums, and what is rule one of being on forums? You're always wrong no matter what, so I'm done arguing about this. Think what you think...
RE4 ftw ;D

Let me drop you int he middle of a zombie apocalypse and tell yout o defend yourself, but you can aim... but you cant move...
You'd be ****ed.
Re4 was good, but so was SMB3... doesnt mean that it would fly now.

RE4 was only released four years ago, and was released just 2 years ago on the Wii where it was still priased.
I think you've just become to accustomed to Running and Gunning.
Plus it's a Surivival ****ing Horror Game for crying out loud, why make it easy for you, to blast everything away, then it wouldn't be a Survival Horror Game.

To exchange game mechanics to enhance the feel... is lazy programming. Look at Dead Space one of the best horror games ever... EVER! And it starts with proper game mechanics. And it feels old and dated thanks to using controls that are outdated. RE4 was optimized 4 the Cube... this is the 360

From Capcom.
Anyone that complained about not being able to move and shoot can be a little happier because Capcom have said there is an optional control system that lets you run as you shoot calling it a more "action" style of play and even saying it's more of a Gears of War style control system. You can stick with the style we have seen in the demo if you want to.

That would be setup D, and that is also the default or the demo and it it nowhere like GoW or CoD, since you can you know, aim and move at the same time.

Hmm... here's my "no joke" moment of the day..... RE5, GoW, and CoD aren't the same game. Maybe.... just maybe, Capcom wants their game to play differently from other games already out? It's a crazy thought I know..... damn Capcom trying to make their own game, and not somebody else's..... bastards.

theres a difference between playing differently and playing badly though (says me.. just me lol... my opinion)... I'd like to see a resident evil that played like max payne or stranglehold.. that would be sick

The quote was "Capcom have said there is an optional control system that lets you run as you shoot calling it a more "action" style of play and even saying it's more of a Gears of War style control system." I was pointing out that that statement was complete bull. And did anybody think the reason why the controls for Re4 are that way was because the Cube had no second thumbstick...? It had a C-Stick but that was complete fail for a second stick. Re5 completely ignores the fact that there is a right thumbstick.

But I just want to know why a simple "walk and shoot" like a dead space or when you aim down the sights in CoD. I think that is a fair trade off... have the aiming reticle jump around a little bit when moving.

Time Splitters 2 had amazing controls, and it was very fast pased. Usually demos don't have multiple controls. It has the base one, and that's about it.

No... the demo has all the control types, it obvious by now that the whole GoW style control was a lie. Like the cake.

So... The Lost and the Damned... worth the DL?
I haven't finished GTA IV, so I'm hesitant to add MORE content to a game I haven't even scratched the surface of.

I finally got me a new 360.
Helmsphere is the gamertag still.
Current games owned Gears Of War 2 Rock Band 2 Street Fighter 4
And I can get my hands on Halo 3 (I don't want to however) and COD4.
Will have RE5 this weekend, for some Co-Op

The brits version is not censored unfortunately... it starts off doing the austin powers cleverly hidden bit then just smacks you in the face with it... I REALLY wasn't ready for it but yeah the two stories are parralell so it doesn't matter which one you play first

Played RE5 on the PS3 witha friend and I have to say....wow... **** you Capcom, **** you.
The final boss fight was too easy, and we played on professional.
And with that out of the way I can go back to Fallout 3 and GEars 2... and W@W
