Anyone here pick this up yet? And if so how is it?
Also, if you have a spare buddy code so the wife and I can check it out that would be AWESOME.

I have it. I didn't get a buddy key, because I bought it from a website where you download games direct to your computer.
The games graphics are awesome. Character creation is slightly limited at first, but you pick up new costume pieces as you play which have their own enhancements. The power choices are good, but they do need more different power and weapon choices. They'll probably release more as the months pass.
The game is a lot of fun. It's completely different from your usual MMO. The fighting is a lot faster, and there's only cooldown times on a couple of powers. Meltropolis and Gotham City are huge, and there's plenty to do. I've only solo'ed so far, so don't know how team play is. You can build tankers, controllers, healers and all that though, so I think there'd be a bit of tactical play involved in teaming.

I played City of Heroes for over five years, and the gameplay in DC Universe Online is so different to it. CoH has been around for years so obviously has loads more content, but I'd say DCUO has around the same level or content as CoH did when it was first released.
Champions Online... *pukes* I wasted over £40 on that game, by buying it when it was released, then paying for a month subscription. I played about two days of it, before uninstalling it and going back to CoH.

I don't know if I even reached lvl 5 in Champions Online. It bored me so much, and I hated the graphics.

I was tempted to pick this up on the PS3 as my PC is knackered, and the PS3 is attached to my awesome TV and comfy chairs etc.....but, can UK and US play together?

When you load up the game launcher, you can choose either EU or US servers. They aren't combined, but someone from Europe could play on the US servers if they wanted, and vice versa.

Does that mean you have to purchase a US lisence or stuff?
I'm actually intrigued....but, I don't want to fall into the WoW trap.

Nope, doesn't mean that as far as I can tell. I activated my account, started the launcher, and at first it was downloading the patches for the US server. I noticed a few minutes later, and changed it to EU servers.

I'm really enjoying it so far. They need more end-game content, but they'll add more in time.
