Have you ever had that odd feeling of foreboding? Like, you know something bad is about to occur, you can just feel it in your bones, but you have no idea what. You look around, and there's no indication at all. No warning signs that most people overlook unless they actively look for them. Sometimes things just seem a-ok until the hammer falls directly down on top of your head.

Spike: Thanks for bailing us out with the whole bachelor party thing. Though it was priceless to see the look on Aly's face when those strippers Rob cancelled showed up and asked for directions back to the airport. (laugh) Also, I can't believe Everyman just left without shoes.. where exactly did Rob hide those anyway? Still haven't found them. Side note, I'm so ready for Pic Perfect.. let's rock them dead.
Where did Rob hide those? I think behind the dryer. Anyway, that's exactly what I'm talking about. We had a good time, sure, some of us may not have been on the real friendliest of terms, but we kept it civil for the cause. I thought that was what I was dreading, seeing a fight break out or what was supposed to be a great fun night ruined by drama. But when it was over, the feeling hadn't left.

Do they honestly think they catch anybody with that? Seriously.
Man: This is Steven Bates with the City zoning board. Just calling to let you know that the extension you planned to connect the two properties has been approved. Have fun.
Well, that's good. A little surprise I had for Ayla. Basically, a little nice skybridge between my house, and the house she "owns" that's next door. She always seems to need something from there when it's raining or storming outside. Figured a covered walkway with a big glass rotunda connecting the two would be a neat idea. Going to need it preconstructed and installed while she's gone. That's a load off my mind, but the feeling hasn't gone away.

Simon, how I wish you understood sometimes. There's going to be sometimes where the people at your side, aren't going to agree with every little thing you say. Sure, Spike had some negative things to say about her. I'm betting a lot of people do. And yes, he comes off as preachy, but honestly, who doesn't? So sitting there, mocking back at him profits neither of us.
Though I'll totally ignore how you basically called me a 40 year old rapist, then later said how much you respected me. Honestly, that one stung a little.
But all that aside, it's not my place to stop him from talking to her like that. Hasn't been for quite some time, really. You're the closest thing she has to a knight in shining armor now. The time between us was.. special and yet tormentive.. for both of us probably. But it's over, and while it went down the way it did, we're past it. Someone once told me that people are in your life to help you grow and mature as a person, and when they no longer do so, they'll find a way to phase themselves out of it. So, by that regard.. She's still important to you.
Then you should go for it.
Screw what Gib thinks. If he gets antsy, just punch him in the face. He shouldn't be dictating what the two of you do with your lives. And if you want to hit Spike for the things he said, then I won't stop you. Spike is a man, same as you, and he can handle himself and take responsibility for the things he said. As you do..
That being said, yes.. I'm proud of how far you've come. I don't train many people. And the requirement is not simply asking, you have to have something more. A desire to not just be a best wrestler or a champion, but to be a better person, and you have that. So it pains me little to admit that it's an honor just knowing you, and technically being "champion" with you, is one as well.
On the other hand..
Overly cheery woman: Hi! This is Samantha, calling for Ayla to talk about her dress fitting. If she could give me a call back at my number that would be great, thanks.
Fitting huh? She said that's where they were going to be. Hope there isn't a problem. Don't want to show up to the wedding looking like rag muffins. ....did I just say rag muffins?

Ayla: Hey babe, it's me. Gonna spend the weekend with Miss Busty. You know, last weekend of freedom and whatnot. If I don't end up home before you leave, then I'll just see you at Picture Perfect. Kisses, love you.. bye..
Hearing that gave me pause. Her spending an entire weekend with Aly, wasn't strange at all. But I don't know, something.. something wasn't right about it at all. I couldn't put my finger on what.
Oh, so now you care. All the crap that happened between Zelda and I, and you.. in a position of authority I might add, did nothing but sick Xander after me. Side note, it was in a handicapped match because you clearly didn't trust him enough to get the job done. And once that was over, what did you do?
Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
You promised to make my life miserable. You promised to make me regret ever being born, and from your cushy little office, you made one or two half hearted attempts to punish me, and after that.. nothing at all. You just stopped caring. And now you expect me to believe that you'd actually shoot Simon if he gets too close to Zelda without slapping a ring on her hand and pledging a life long committment before he may be ready.
You're not ****ing fooling anyone, stop trying.
We don't need to hear another of these big, oh I love my children so much, they're my whole world speeches. Mainly because they're contrived and boring, but also because every single word that comes out of your mouth during them reeks of insincerity. Hell, Zelda was the daughter you didn't know you had for so long, and when she suffered more, after having suffered pretty much her whole life, you lead the charge into battle to save her wounded soul.
And promptly gave up.
Oh, you're saying that I'm wrong. Of course you are, because you don't want to admit that you should have pretty much put me in the ground already. That I never should have gotten within arm's reach of Velez, much less managed to wrest the title from him. Tell me something Gib, if your children are such legends because of their blood, why is it they're all trained by Adam? Why is it that the only people who keep them focused and on the right path is anybody but you?
Simple, you're a good example of a bad example.
I'm not much for winning titles just to have them, or to pad my legacy. But if in doing so keeps you from overinflating your ego more than it already is and makes you realize that maybe you aren't as awesome as you've been ramming down our throats all these years, then I'm all for it. But don't worry. Simon will prevail and move onto bigger and better things. You know, once he gets more out of your stifling shadow and back onto gaining a measure of success for himself.
Something he deserves..
And you do not...

Alysson: Hey sexy, tell that hot little blonde when she gets back that she left her phone here. Not sure if you want to just come by and pick it up or I'll get it to you at the show this weekend. Love you both.. wait.. hold a sec it's ringing. Oh, nevermind. This is Alex's phone. See you later!
Wait... what? Ayla calls and says she's going to spend the weekend with Aly. And then Aly calls to give Ayla a message? Did she change her mind? Or is she doing something she didn't want to tell me about? She often surprises me with things, but usually she's far more cryptic rather than trying to deceive me. So.. what does this mean..? I decided to try and call her. After two rings, she picked it up.
Ayla: Hey babe, we're kinda busy so I can't talk long. We're having a little mini modeling competition here.. we're up to lingerie now..
Falcon: Sounds fun, is Aly there? She left a message on the machine..
Ayla: Oh, she's in the bathroom, getting into her next set of undies.. should I have her call you when she gets out?
Falcon: No, as long as she's there.. I...
There was a muffled sound on the other end. And it may just be my instincts causing this paranoia. But I swear there was a male voice.
Falcon: Is Spike there? Tell him I said you're welcome.
Ayla: No, he's off in the park with Xander.. can't talk now hun, Linda's about to show off something sheer. See you Sunday, love you!
And then, dialtone. The one thing I hate about these kinds of feelings..
I'm usually right.
But what is she hiding..?
