What’s up Mr. Jones…
This is it man I don’t know if you heard the news or not but this match on Sunday is going to be my last for a very long time. My contract is set to expire and I have no intention on renewing it. So consider this match at Picture Perfect the match where I leave all of the cards on the table. A match where I truly will go in with only thought on my mind, and that thought is to beat this man known as Alex Jones once and for all. I will enter the ring with the intention to truly mean business and to finally beat a man that I just haven’t been able to beat in a singles match during my entire tenure here in New Championship Wrestling.
Alex I had to do a bit of research and do you know it was a little over a year ago when you asked the very question that would shake something up within me? You asked where in the world is Todd Williams? To be honest up until that point even I didn’t know where I was… I was off trying to find my own identity trying to find out what my niche in NCW was. I had lost my X Championship to Roberto Verona and had dropped match and match to him. I just couldn’t get the job done against him, and I never admitted to this to anyone but it made me feel empty on the inside.
There you came along, and you sent out that message in order to reach out to me. I don’t know if you did it as a way to reach me out to see what was wrong or to call me out on my **** but your words stirred up inside of me. It was those same words that erupted me into having the passion to compete in the ring again but I would never admit that to you… Oh no I rather would deal as putting you as the brunt of all my frustrations and I can remember Crystal and I trying so desperately wage a war against you and your wonderful wife Shelly…
Despite being members of the same stable we were more bitter enemies than anything… It took a while but eventually we would become really good friends and it’s something that I am proud to mention. That’s what it has always been about at the end of the day.
Now here we are Alex a year later and it’s us wrestling each other for the sake of just having an all out match against one another. This match is all about reliving the X division days, days where you were a God among men with just your overall wrestling ability. I can respect that Alex Jones because in my eyes you are one in the best in the business.
Bull**** aside… fake injuries left at door, if I am going to go out in what is my final match for a very long time I might as well give you nothing but the truth. So if you were expecting some heel or face promo from me you aren’t going to get that, instead you are going to get nothing but my heart. A heart that I am going to pour to you…
Now I know what you are thinking. Why is Todd leaving what kind of stunt is he trying to get at? The truth is this isn’t a mere stunt, an act, or anything of the sort. I have been going at it on and off now for quite some time. I have been neglecting the thing that means the world to me in my little daughter. A daughter that I never ever really took responsibility in raising. As much as I am traveling on the road around the world I owe some time to be spent for her. So for the next couple of months I am just going to live life and enjoy it with her, because I owe that to her.
It feels really weird though because usually a Todd leaving scare is usually followed by a couple of **** You’s some pure nerd raging outbursts and other things but right now I have a smile so I guess I can’t use the whole lost my smile bit. When I look at you Alex I have nothing but the utmost of respect for you.
Because if it wasn’t for you trying to awaken something in me, and the ass kicking you gave me in the first round of the road to the gold last year I don’t think I would have been as motivated as I was to come out and win the Riot. I would have still been in the same old place but yet you broke me and also mended me in the same token and I can’t help but thank you.
I know I drove Crystal into you last week and I don’t know really why I did it but that’s one way to ensure that come Picture Perfect it’s just you and I inside that ring. No excuses, no crying over a fake injury, it’s just going to be two friends fighting for what they believe in. The last time we fought one another Crystal out of concern threw the towel inside the ring to stop the fight but this time we can leave it all in the ring.
Whether I win or you win it really doesn’t matter at this point. The fact is I want to give something for these fans to smile about. I look at the epic match of a Williams and a Jones. Crystal and Shelly, Jenny and Shelly, and each of those matches have been nothing less than a classic so what’s to stop us from putting on a show as well?
The answer is nothing… The sky is the limit and if we are going to do it we might as well do it big…
At the end of the day we should both be smiling because this year has been about everything that we worked so hard together in Flash Bang for… The limelight has been directed off of the likes of Steve Awesome and Rob Diamond, and now guys like Xander, I, Ricky, you, and Trent have that chance to shine.
You know what would be funny? Is that this year every man in Flash Bang would have held the World title… I held it… Xander held it… Ricky who I consider an honorary Flash bang member since he was fighting the conspiracy for a very long time, and of course Trent has his shot this month…
The only that’s left to get what is theirs is you my bro. So please Alex go out there to ring beat me again….
Beat the former World Champion and show everyone why you need to have your shot…
Show everyone what you are made of and I know it will be only before you reach out and grab onto what is you…

{Our scene opens up in the Long Island home of the Williams and it is there where Todd is spending time with his ten year old daughter Brittany. He has a grin on his face as he stares at her from head to toe but the little girl just sighs as she looks back at her father.}
Brittany: Dad… Where is mommy? Why are you two fighting again?
{Todd just looks at his daughter as he gently runs his fingers through her hair.}
Todd: I think she went upstate to go visit your Aunt Jenny… I am sure things will be alright between us sweetie. It’s just your dad needed to do what he did so that he could give uncle Alex the match he wanted without any interference. Your dad just wants things to be fair and I would say Alex deserves that much don’t you think so?
{Brittany just slowly nods her head in agreement as she looks back at her father.}
Todd: Listen Brittany this match with uncle Alex… It’s going to be dad’s last one in NCW for a very long time. I know your mommy signed a contract to be a journalist but I want you to know that daddy is putting it away to be with you for a while… Daddy has missed spending time with you and he is coming home sweetie… How does that make you feel?
{Brittany jumps and down excitedly as she runs over to Todd and embraces him into a long passionate hug. She grips him tightly as she gazes up into his eyes.}
Brittany: Does this mean you and I will be able to play video games together, and we get to do fun stuff like stay up really late… Go to the movies… and everything together?
{Todd just nods his head in agreement as he smiles down at his daughter.}
Todd: Yes pumpkin and it also means no more babysitters… It’s going to be you and daddy… And we are going to do so much more…. After Picture Perfect we are going to take a trip Orlando and head down to Universal Studios and Disney World… Hell maybe even visit Ricky Johnson and check on his little children… How’s that sound?
{Brittany nods her head with a huge grin on her face as she looks back at her father.}
Brittany: Daddy… You better not lose your last match…
Todd: OH you don’t have to worry about that… Your daddy will go out there and mean business you don’t have to worry about that… but if he doesn’t that’s nothing wrong with that… As long as him and Alex make everyone stand up on their feet that’s all that really matters.
