Still holding onto that idea that you can beat us huh? It’s kinda cute when you think about it. It really.
How many times are we going to have to stomp your foreign butts until you get it through your thick skulls that you simply can’t screw with... AMURICA!
We slapped you with the freedom fries, we beat you down into freedom toast and we gave the fans a show with our freedom ticklers all at the expense of you, The Forgotten, and everybody else who ever decided to face the full frontal assault of Team America. What makes you think that you stand a chance now, now that you asked really, really nicely for one more shot? That’s what I thought.
Nobody believes you stand a chance here. Lets be real, you’re fooling yourselves. Your time in the sun has passed, your time as champions as flown by, you were good old fashioned flashes in the pan. There is nothing you have left to offer, You had your run, you had your time, now Team America is dominating the scene. Now Team America is at the top of the world, and you’re just sitting around in whatever armpit third world country your from wishing that you had that Team America glitz and swagger.
We’re the best tag team in the entire free world, we’re the past tag team you third world country supporting a-holes will ever see. We’re team America. We represent the home of the brave and the land of the free. By the rockets red glare... we’re going to kick your asses... again. Like the war of 1812...you’re going to be running away with your tails between your legs again. The battle of New Orleans isn’t going to have nothing on this beating.
We’re Andrew Jackson. You’re the red coats... and we’re going to cannonball your asses. Wait... uhh... lets pretend I didn’t say that and...
You guys suck.
Ha!
[We see, from a distance, the sight of Kelly Fox walking into a small coffee house while Sydney stands outside waiting for her to finish. Sydney leans against the wall and lowers her head, covering her masked face with her hand, trying to hide away from every passerby and we pull back to see Simon Daye sitting across the street at a small bistro with a newspaper hiding his face. He looks across the street at her and his face begins to turn red with anger as her says her sadness all the way from across the street.]
Gib: Are you planning on raping my daughter or something?
[Simon jumps up from his seated position, throwing the newspaper in the air in surprise, and almost ruining his cover as Sydney looks up at the sudden movement across the street. However, Simon is able to push Gib out of the line of sight just in time.]
Simon: What the... of course not... I was just making sure Kelly didn’t mistreat her or anything...
Gib: hmm... you must really have a thing for my daughter.
Simon: She’s just a good friend and I hate to see a friend in pain like this.
Gib: Horse**** Simon. I’m old enough to be your father... hell for all I know I am your father and this crush you have on Zelda is really sick and perverted beyond belief... but that’s not the point. The point is I’ve been around the block a time or two Simon and no matter who you think you’re lying to... this is not friendship you’re feeling.
Simon: What are you trying to say...
Gib: That if you care about my daughter... tell her. She’s obviously fond of you.
Simon: Is this you, giving me your blessing?
Gib: No, because if you lay a finger on my daughter and her pure virgin innocence, then I’m going to murder you with my bare hands by ripping your large intestines out via your throat hole.
Simon: Umm... Gib... she was pregnant... I don’t think she’s a...
Gib: What are you trying to say Simon!?
Simon: Nothing... nothing at all...
Gib: Good. Now... when you have an opening, grow a penis and stop acting like a pussy... and ask my daughter out on a date. Let your balls drop boy.
Simon: You think she’ll be ok with it, I mean...
Gib: I’m sure she’ll appreciate it more than you stalking her.
Simon: I wasn’t sta...
Gib: Whatever. Just do it, or I will.
Simon: You’re going to ask out your daughter?
[Gib punches Simon as hard as he can right in the breadbasket. Simon falls to his knees holding his stomach in pain.]
Gib: Don’t be a smartass. Now dust yourself off and wait for an opening.... just remember, I chaperone or you get a shotgun to the goonies, if you know what I mean.
Simon: (squeaky voice) Loud and clear.
[We fade out as Gib offers a hand and helps Simon back to his feet.]
[Sydney runs into her hotel room, clearly upset as she slams the door behind her. She heads towards the bed and falls down on it. The second she does however, her brand new cell phone begins to ring, she notices the call from Kelly and knows better than not answer it.]
~Kelly:~ Goddammit Sydney, what the hell? I told you to make sure there were plenty of towels in this room before we got back! What am I supposed to do huh!? Take a shower with this dish towel huh!? Is that what you’re expecting? Can’t you get anything right?! Do you want to be behind that mask forever, because if you don’t start getting **** right around here then I do see why I should ever let you free! Now call down to the lobby and tell them to bring up some damn towels right now!
[Sydney wraps her arms around her midsection as the phone call ends, she rolls over and curls herself into a ball and begins to softly cry to herself as she continues to look through her phone. She heads towards her voicemail and listens to the one message there.]
~Xander:~ Hey sis... sorry I had to leave you alone with her tonight... spending time with Jenny. You know how it is right? I’ve been neglecting her and she has umm.. needs. So uhh... just try and keep your head up and everything will be fine. It’ll be over soon... see you in a couple of days, love ya sis.
[She grimaces in pain as she pushes the phone away and closes her eyes, trying to pretend this isn’t happening. The tears come down faster, filling her eyes with water as she lays there alone. Her silent crying is interrupted by the sounds of knocking on her door. The sound causes her to turn over and glare at the door in confusion. She quickly wipes away the tears that she can and heads towards the door, she is thrown back when it’s Simon Daye standing there with some roses and candy in his hands. She waves him into the room, in complete shock, trying to hide him before Kelly can see.]
Sydney: (softly) What are you doing here...
Simon: I’ve been following you and Kelly all day and I know it sounds creepy but I just wanted to make sure you were ok and I saw how she was treating you and I just wanted to say that I’m sorry and that I hope you aren’t too sad and well... I … here.. just, I really wish you didn’t have to go through this and though I could cheer you up with these.
[Sydney takes the gifts, she doesn’t say a word she just bites her bottom lip as she smiles at him, holding the chocolate and flowers to her chest. There’s an awkward silence as they both just stare at the other before Simon finally breaks it.]
Simon: So... I don’t know where to begin so I’m just going to come out with it. Will you.. would you like to... there is this really nice seafood place I know of, and I know how much you like that type of thing and was wondering if you would like to accompany me there one night... if Kelly isn’t riding you too hard? It could be like a date... of course... your dad will be there however... he insists...
[She turns her head to the side, cutely staring at Simon not saying a word, making him sweat out the answer. She blinks... and nothing. Simon pulls on his collar, it’s getting kind of hot in the room with all this suspense. Finally she turns her head back upright, giggle slightly to herself and nods “yes”.]
Simon: Oh really?! Wow that’s awesome, umm... Is next Friday ok? I mean.. gives you time to convince Kelly to let you go and to make plans?
Sydney: **nods**
Simon: Wow... this is great, I never thought you’d say yes. Umm.. I guess I’ll... I didn’t really have any other plans after this, so do you want to play some Genesis or something?
[Sydney doesn’t say a word as she drops the flowers and delicious chocolate candy to the floor. She glares at Simon seriously whose eyes dart around the room in confusion. Sydney puts her hands on his chest, slowly moving up as she gets closer to him and with a mighty shove, pushes him onto the bed. Simon’s eyes go wide in surprise as she’s on top of him in a flash and begins kissing him on the neck. She begins unbuttoning his shirt and a smile forms on his face as he begins to rub her back and kiss her neck back, but he pulls away sharply.]
Simon: Wait Syd... are you sure you want to do this? This isn’t just you feeling alone and looking for....
[She puts her index finger on his lips telling him to shush. She then grabs the sides of her blouse and pulls her top off over her head, slinging it to the floor. Simon stares at her on top of him in her bra, and shrugs his shoulders, forgetting his train of thought. He reaches up and puts his hand on her face and pulls himself up for a kiss, but stops short. She takes his other hand and puts it on the other side of Sydney’s face, sliding them up under the mask. He goes to lift the mask off her face, but she jumps back and pulls away.]
Sydney: NO!
[She jumps off the bed and turns her back to him, holding the mask down with her hands covering her face. Simon leans up and sets on the edge of the bed behind her.]
Simon: Why... Why can’t you take the mask off, nobody else will know... I want to see your face, I want to see “you” and not Herald. ..
Sydney: because that’s not me...
Simon: But...
[She interrupts him and points towards the door.]
Sydney: Just go.
[Simon stands up, he tries to say something to her but she just shakes her head and keeps her head buried in her hands. He lowers his head and heads out the door as she runs back over to the bed and flops back onto it. The grimace of pain appearing back on her face as we fade to black on the sight of her curling back into a ball, alone.]
