An Ace Visit:
The scene fades in and we see The Ace and Kathy standing in the Verizon Center. Stephen Kingsley is seen walking up towards them with his corked hat in his right hand and of course he is shirtless with only his vest on. Stephen looks at Kathy for a moment and remembering what Cyrus had told him, he then turned his attention to The Ace and holds out his hand. The Ace shakes his hand.
Stephen Kingsley: Thank you for taking the time to meet with me.
The Ace: Anytime....mate...
Stephen Kingsley: I know that you are a veteran of nCw. That you have accomplished a lot here in nCw. I also saw your match against Charlie Velez last week and as you might know he will be my opponent at A New Dawn. Can you give me some insight on Charlie?
The Ace: Well, what can I tell you that you don't already know? The man has a serious God Complex which is probably only getting worse since he beat me last week. Overall though, the guy is just a piddly ass who lost his company because apparently he didn't know when to take a good deal, like the one I offered him last week...before I knew better.
Stephen Kingsley: So what I have seen of your match and other matches, Charlie is a Wanker and he shows it in the ring.
Stephen waits a second and then explains.
Stephen Kingsley: Wanker means egotistical. I know he is not like GIb.
The Ace: Where I come from wanker has a slightly different definition, but given we are in the presence of a lady, I say we stick to yours. Either way I'd say you know Charlie better than you think...
Stephen looks at Kathy once again and he finds himself having problems looking away from Kathy. Once again he remembers what he is there for.
Stephen Kingsley: Knowing what you know about Charlie, What chance will you give me of winning at A New Dawn?
The Ace: Well you certainly have the size and strength advantage my friend, so I think as long as you don't let him get inside your head and throw you off your game, I'd say your chances are good...and of course if you pull it off, it'll certainly impress that cute little interviewer girlfriend of yours...
Kathy smiles.
Kathy: Oh yes, she's been telling us all about the kiss, you sly dog, you...
Stephen Kingsley: I know getting a victory over Charlie Velez will be a great achievement for me, but knowing Kelly Fox as you do, would it benefit Criminal Intent on getting a Tag Team Championship shot?
The Ace: Well Charlie was part of the Young Guns around here, so he certainly has the tag team experience, and if Kelly looks at it like that, I'd say she'd definitely have to take you as a serious threat in that division, you're just lucky The Smokin' Aces aren't a full time tag team anymore.
Stephen Kingsley: Who is The Smokin' Aces?
Stephen Kingsley has a smirk on his face after asking that question.
The Ace looks serious for a moment then starts laughing.
The Ace: You almost had me there, sunshine...
Stephen Kingsley: Now.....
Just then Carly Robins walks up behind Stephen and places her hands over his eyes. Seeing this Kathy begins to pull The Ace away from Stephen and Carly.
Kathy: Looks like we'll leave you two love birds alone...come on Jake...
Kathy and Ace are out of the view of the camera as Carly removes her hands and stands in front of Stephen.
Stephen Kingsley: How did you know that I would be here?
Carly Robins: Well this is where A New Dawn is being held at and I was here doing some work and saw you walking in. What were you talking about with The Ace and Kathy?
Stephen Kingsley: It was about business. Listen, I have to….
Carly stops Stephen in the middle of his sentence.
Carly: I understand why you would tell people that I was telling a story.
Stephen Kingsley: Charlie I have been burnt before and it was not with fire. In prison you learn really quick not to turn your back on anyone because that could be a costly blue. A blue that could cost your life. Like my partner said “trust no one.” That includes a “Legend” as you would have called yourself. You can skite all you want about yourself, but at A New Dawn you will be in a fight for your life. Can you stand the heat?
Stephen Kingsley turns and glances at the ring.
Stephen Kingsley: The Ace made the comment about not letting you get inside my head. To me that was a funny comment. I’m an ex crim and I served my time but to be able to get into my mind you would have to think like a crim. I can tell that you are Shonky, but so can a crim.
Carly Robins: I am assuming a blue is a mistake but what is Shonky?
Stephen Kingsley: A better question is How does Charlie Velez act?
Carly Robins thought for a bit. After a few seconds she begins to speak.
Carly Robins: Charlie Velez is not to be relied upon.
Stephen Kingsley: That is what Shonky means. That he is dubious, and I will not forget that when we step in that ring at A New Dawn this Sunday.
