Spike TV Season 2 Episode 4: The Rising Sun
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A New Dawn saw nCw's Viewers Choice pay per view have another amazing showing, with participation from you people out there, so if you didn't like it? It's your own fault! Haha, I keed I keed.
We saw some great matches at A New Dawn, we saw a couple of stipulations only being announced moments before the workers hit the entrance ramp, and it was a blast. I personally didn't have a match...and we all saw how I reacted to that.
For more information on that, you can check out my promo which will be airing soon.
Lex Sense Vs Falcon– This match had the makings of an absolute masterpiece. There was some intense build up to this match, with Ayla, and even Charlie Velez involved in it, which we logically would think would end in an amazing match up, and the two legends did not disappoint.
Jenny Williams Vs Alysson Gardner– F*ck Jenny Williams, I'm so tired of this generic crap that she spouts every week. She's Zelda-lite and it sucks so bad, how in the hell ANYONE can support you is beyond me. I despise you woman, and your whole damn family.
Andrew Jacobsen main evented a pay per view.
We got to see some very good matches that made Match of the Week hard to pick.
Somebody stood up and said “No” to Adam Knite, kudos Mr Cross.
Credit to Will Washington and Joe Everyman for great build up, great promos, and a great match
Todd Williams is gone, for good! Yes! → This is staying for a while, let it sink in and enjoy it. <---Still here. NEVER GOING TO LEAVE, EFF YOU!!!!!
Team America do something for once.
That Pawn Shop Match – The God of Xtreme was proud.
Xander Famularo remains champion, at least this time he had to fight for it.
Jenny Williams wins.
Adam abuses his power to crush Cross.
Jenny Williams being on my TV screen.<---this.
Lex defeating my friend, it was a harsh blow.
Mike Laszlo not being able to recapture the X-Championship
The Internationals seemingly “out of it” for a while at least. I didn't like the guys, but it's not nice when that happens.
My version of the fab five. The five people who stood out this last week.
5: KEN DAVISON: Weeks after defeating Mike Laszlo for the championship, “Godly” Ken Davison defended it in style against the same man. A superb showing from the champion, and just a glimpse of what we can expect from him in the future.
4: XAVIER CROSS: Cross took a big chance by challenging Adam, he took it to the king and tried his utmost to right some of the wrongs that have happened around here. I don't think Xavier is done, and apparently, neither does he.
3: ADAM KNITE Despite the shenanigans, Adam proved once again why he is the King of nCw, and that those who apose him, be they freedom fighters, or fools....will suffer.
2: HOMELESS HAROLD Well, the man who had an iron grip on the world title scene for a big chunk of last year, seemingly has it once again. Can anybody stop this monster? I'm seriously starting to doubt it.
1: ANDREW JACOBSEN: He didn't win the big one, but he really showed us the heart and the ability that he has. It was a nice change to see someone fighting for the world title who really needed to break through, and it was just unfortunate that Andrew couldn't pick up the W.
Q. How does it feel to be back in nCw?
It always feels great Spike, this place is home. You know that feeling you get when you go under the blanket on a cold winter night, and it’s so damn warm. That’s what I feel when I get to the arena for a show. Because there is no way this life I’m living is reality, these fans make this dream come true.
Q. What was it that drew you back to nCw?
Well, being a single father now, I had to step away from the business to focus on my personal life. But I think I lasted maybe a week and some change before I had the TV on nCw. I never stopped following you guys at home. But I just didn’t like the direction ol’ Kelly Knite and King Adam were taking this ship. You deserve better Spike, these fans deserve better. I’m making it my goal in nCw to right this ship’s sails.
Q. It must have felt good to start things off with the King himself, right in there with a big feud instead of scraping the bottom of the barrell?
Honestly, I’m a little surprised that Kelly booked the match. Adam isn’t one to back away from a challenge though, never has been. It’s always great to get a good push, but whether I’m fighting Adam Knite or Tommy the Cat, it feels good just being between the ropes.
Q. That was quite a fiasco we saw at A New Dawn, how did it feel not knowing what would happen until just before you hit the ring?
Well, first off, I didn’t even go online and look at the stipulations. I’m the one who made the challenge, and I had to prepare for the impossible. It didn’t matter what the match was, I knew the most dangerous thing was Adam Knite. Lord and behold, the powers that be managed to swing it in his direction, and the world bared witness to what a corrupt ‘King’ will do.
Q. After the way the match ended, a lot of people would expect a rematch in the near future, do you know if there is anything in the works?
I know that if I yell loud enough, eventually Kelly will want me shut up for good. But the thing is, you can’t stop me. They won’t stop me. They can bring their entire armada of Jobbers from the back; I’ll run through ‘em all to get another crack at Adam. At this point, it’s not about some title. It’s about knocking the King off his throne. Let’s make some noise Spike? Adam Knite, I want a rematch. You can bring your goons or whoever you want. I’ll be ready this time.
Q. Do you have anything big planned in the world of Xavier Cross, if you can tell us of course?
First, I can go ahead and say that I’m staying away from the big screen. When I left nCw I wanted to test my acting chops. ‘Badge of Bravery’ don’t even bother checking it out. Blind kids have seen things more entertaining that that. Second, well some of you remember I had a protégé for a while, a young woman named Natalie Tyson, daughter of former nCw executive, Drake Tyson. When we first met obviously it wasn’t the best time for me to date. Now it’s been almost a month and some change and I’ve yet to make her mad at me. So I guess I’m doing good so far.
Q. How would you rate your time in this business?
Honestly, I’ve been so inconsistent, I’ve had the chance to be at the top of the mountain many times, and I haven’t taken that step. I’m almost 30 years old and I haven’t won a world title. So let’s say, C+.
Q. And how would you rate your time in nCw?
Phew, it’s weird thinking back so far. I debuted around 2008. Went to the finals with Alex Jones. I beat Adam Knite at Battlegrounds in ’08 to have my first title in nCw the illustrious X-Treme title. Won it again a year later and defended it again in two ridiculous matches. At that point I would have been saying A+ all day. Y’know? Then when my wife passed in February of 2010, I did something that I was so proud of, I managed to win that National Title. It’s hard to even remember it all, I never cried so hard in a week. Now here I am, and for once I feel like I’m actually doing something in nCw, I’m not just some cocky jerk, I got a reason for being here. So in total time, I’d go a solid B+
Word Association:
Adam Knite.
Tyrant
Bad Luck Chuck.
That angry feeling when you stub your toe on something you know was there, but it still hurts like piss? I know that’s not a word, but that feeling of just pure rage at something so insignificant.
Xander Famularo.
Domination.
Joe Everyman.
Frustrating
Jennifer Williams.
Lil’ Spitfire
Team America.
Greatness
and of course, Spike Kane.
The Best there is, the best there was, and god forbid if I get sued for copyright infringement.
Thank you very much Xavier. It's always humbling to hear, despite what some people think It is my show, and nine times out of then that last one ends with an insult. This isn't to pander to my ego, it's to let the superstars get their views and word out there. So thank you...
Well here we are nCw, it's the announcement that some of you are here for, and for those who read every week it's something different. After working so hard for this place, and trying to enjoy my work I'm afraid it's time for me to announce that I am leaving New Championship Wrestling. I am not saying that I am retiring, or even that I'll never come back. Just that, personally on a professional level I am certainly not enjoying myself right now, it is a decision that I have wrestled with for a couple of weeks now, and some people have probably seen it coming.
I've tried to bury myself in work, and pushing this company as much as I could to get me worked up, to get me fired up like I was back in 2007 and 2008, but it just isn't working. I feel more and more fed up and tired as each week goes by, it's the reason why this show exists in the first place. I wanted to help push people, I wanted to let people have a voice, I wanted to let the spotlight shine on those who might not be in the main event, from promoting Steve Awesome's feud with Alex Jones, to sparking up banter with the Williams family.
This week marks the final Spike TV for the near future at the very least, and this Collision will also mark the final nCw match for Spike Kane for the forseeable future. I personally want to take this time for everything that the Fox and Knite family have done for me over the years, the times I've been forgiven for being naïve and stupid, for supporting me during my heart surgery, and for giving me a place to work. I've been very outspoken, and I've been a pain in the ass, but I only ever wanted this company to thrive.
I would also love to thank every single fan who has ever followed me or nCw, you made me who I am today.
I wish you all the best I ever could, and maybe I'll see you all down the line sometime.
Goodnight nCw, and thank you.
Predictions and Preview
==================
(Note: Draws of any kind do not count either way)
Last Season: 37 -13
Season 2: 24-8
This Week: 8 – 3
Total: 61 – 20
Well as season two of Spike TV ends, thats a pretty good tally to end on. A 3:1 ratio for the season and pretty much a 3:1 ratio for the overall total. Not bad, if I don't say so myself.
