Last week I went to the ring against Alex Jones and I made an example of him. The old Xander would talk about how well fought the battle was and how excellent of a competitor Alex was, but I am not the old Xander am I? I am a mindless ignorant puppet right?
Well, at least I know my role and play my part well.
The rest of you still haven’t found your place, and even if you feel like you did you aren’t doing a very good job there. Because the title, it is still around my waist. And Kelly is still unchallenged. Keep trying though; having the good guys fail constantly is good for ratings.
{Scene opens to Xander’s apartment in New York City, he is packing up some things and a woman is in the place, she speaks to him and carried a clipboard}
Lady: So, why are you selling this property?
Xander: I just travel a lot, and don’t feel I spend enough time at this property, there isn’t much of a reason to keep it so I will offload it and free up some assets, my boss recommended it and she is a very smart business woman.
Lady: You take orders from a woman? I would never expect that of a man your size.
Xander: I know how to take good advice; I could care less about what sex the person is who is giving the advice. It seems to me, that someone who bases their ideologies and well being on what gender a person is, likely is a mindless ignoramus and someone that isn’t worth a second thought…
{The lady bites her lip and puts her hand on Xander’s shoulder}
Lady: You seem very…
Xander: Remove your hand from me, this is a business transaction; treat yourself with a little self respect…
{The lady’s face reddens as Xander continues}
Xander: You can get this done, so get it done and don’t contact me until you have a closing date…
{Xander takes his duffle bag and throws it over his shoulder, the realtor looks shaken as Xander heads to the door, she excuses herself from the room and he turns as he gets to the door, looking at the apartment. A gleam of a reminiscent thought crosses his eyes but he shakes it off as he turns and closes the door behind him}
So Trent Helms, the intergalactic whine ass has decided to grace us with his presence yet another time, it is just like you to sweep in when there is a chance at a main event, you are an attention seeking whore, and everyone knows that. You feel like you deserve to be in the hall of fame, and for what reason? What accomplishments do you have that set you apart from others? Oh, you are a former world champion a title that you held for an amazing 35 days.
You come back and force yourself in main event after main event losing to all you face. You have a slight accomplishment winning the national title and then, once again a mere month later you lose the title. See, you have no staying power, you are like a fart in the wind. You come in to big fanfare, people want to see your entrance, your glitz and glamour, you are like the Liza Minelli of ncw, all fashion no talent.
And you weasel your way in one more time. I would think the message I sent you recently would have been enough for you to realize that you are no longer welcome in ncw. I think Kelly would rather pay you to stay home then to come to work, and it isn’t because she is concerned you are going to make and moves on challenging for a leadership role because I think it is quite obvious that anything you attempt I will easily stop.
It is because she doesn’t want you stinking up your ratings with your stupid ramblings that were funny years ago but have now grown stale, the look, the attitude it is all worn out. You, Trent, are worn out, beaten…
You are nothing, you won’t be remembered here when you finally decide to leave for good, if that ever happens because you are like an old man constantly trying to relive that one moment where he was actually relevant, the one moment when someone actually cared that he was around.
You are like my father, only he still is relevant in the wrestling world.
Trent, I want to be the man that makes you realize that your time has passed, I am not against former stars of this place coming back around from time to time, but you have worn out your welcome. It is time that you were dealt with and like I said, I thought that message was clear last month.
Obviously it wasn’t.
So this week I don’t want to mix words, I don’t want to act like some tough guy that says he is going to rip your arms off and beat you with them. I want you to understand the gravity of what I am saying. To me, you are an old cancerous dog, waiting to die, one that is depressing everyone around.
A dog that needs to go for a walk, a walk to that farm where sick dogs go to hang out with other sick dogs and they all frolic together in a sea of rainbows flowing freely from the ass of a Unicorn.
And I know you are a bit stupid, so let me put it plainly, in that analogy the dog is symbolic to your career. When you have a response, I will be waiting… I plan on hearing from you in roughly five years.
{Scene opens to the office of Adam Knite, Xander walks into the room and Adam looks over at him smiling}
Adam: I am glad you are finally coming around to all this. I know it wasn’t exactly what we thought this was going to be like, but all transitions are difficult. People like your dad; sometimes they don’t see the big picture. I think eventually he will.
{Xander nods}
Xander: I don’t think so, but he is pigheaded, he only understands righteousness. I won’t lie, at first it was tough to see him feel the way he does. He feels like Kelly is totally mistreated his kids, and I know Sydney feels especially that she is being taken advantage of, but I think when it comes down to it, Kelly is doing what is right. You have to make example of those that are challenging you for power, or everyone will challenge.
{Adam nods, smiling}
Adam: See, you get it.
Xander: That is why I am glad this week; I get to go after all the people at once. I get to have Trent, Andrew and Falcon all in the ring at the same time, and perhaps I can show them the light, perhaps they can understand that more viewers and better ratings equals more money in all our pockets.
{Adam just nods, as he pulls a big stack of papers in front of him. Xander pulls the Harold mask off the top of the duffle bag, he places it over his face, and starts to walk out into the hall}
Adam: You know, you don’t have to wear the mask all the time when you around me.
Xander: No, I do need to wear it… If I don’t wear it, I sometimes question my thoughts and motivations. It helps me keep things straight.
Adam: Well, to each his own.
{Xander walks out into the hall, closing the door behind him, he stands at the door with his arms crossed as the scene fades}
Falcon, our level of hatred has been written time and time again, I don’t like you. You are like a mosquito, constantly annoying a larger creature with annoying but inconsequential bites. I could go into so many things here, like the fact that you hit my sister, or couldn’t defeat my old man in a tag team match but those things have been said a thousand times so I just wonder what your whole part in this is.
Are you trying hard to return things to the way they were? Are you trying to show the world that you know the right thing to do, trying to make up for the mistakes of your past by saving the ncw from some vile force that doesn’t actually exist. Or are you just being drawn into this because Lex is on my side, because Lex is all you can think about now.
I understand the whole desire of little people like you trying hard to constantly prove yourselves to the large powers that be, to the alpha males, the people that are well respected and I will give credit where it is due, your unique mix of martial arts with the never give up attitude has served you well, and many giants have toppled.
But this week you face powers greater then you, you face a team of three animals who care for nothing other then maintaining the integrity of ncw, we want to make sure that things stay the way they should be Falcon, and you represent a threat to the status quo. I am sure you are disappointed in the choices I have made, and I know all my fans are crying in their Wheaties to see this new attitude that I have forged but my question is where were all these people when I lost my title Falcon? Where were they when I wasn’t pinned, when I never received a rematch for the title?
See Falcon, you know the feeling don’t you? Being abandoned by those you cared a great deal about. I used to get a feeling of exhilaration when I came to the ring. I used to feed from the joy of the crowd until I was so closely replaced by Todd Williams, a man who after losing disappeared into a mist of depression. See, I fight on. You fight on too Falcon but I feel you are fighting for the wrong things.
And I know the opposite is true, or we would be on the same side of the ring.
And I wouldn’t be so hell bent on breaking your spirit this weekend. But make no mistake Falcon that is what I am coming to do, which is my plan. I am going to do everything in my power to debilitate your body so that you know, deep down that you have absolutely no chance, until you realize that deep down you are finished.
And then you can join Trent at the farm, ask him about the analogy, or perhaps you can help him figure it out.
{Scene opens, Sydney walks up to Xander, who stills stands outside Adam’s office, she looks at him with a concerned look peering through the eyes of her mask.}
Sydney: Tell me that you are still fighting the fight… Tell me that you haven’t given up on finding a way out.
{Xander looks down at his sister, and for the first time this week we see a look of compassion cross his face. He cocks his head to the side}
Xander: Syd, there is no way to win. We lost, and we lost badly. We put all out stock in that match, I put my stock in with you and when it came down to it, Kelly won. Now we have to get used to our lives, now we have to come to terms with our new roles and our new positions.
Sydney: I can’t believe you are talking like this… I can’t believe you of all people have given up…
Xander: Sometimes it is easier to roll over…
{She lowers her head somberly and quietly agrees she closes her eyes. When the camera pans to Xander’s face, his eyes are blank, there is no feeling and no emotion, making you further believe that this metamorphosis is closer to completion and that Harold is here to stay for quite a while.}
Andrew… You tried so hard last month and everybody thought that you were going to accomplish your goal; everyone thought that maybe that one day you had a chance to slap adversity in the face and prove the world wrong.
And as quickly as that moment started it was over, it ended, and you were left with nothing, you were left as just another man who faced me and who lost. Hey, there is one positive thing to look at, you find yourself in good company, you find yourself amongst the very best in the business the people who have been defeated by me because, you see, I leave no one behind. I have never ducked an opponent and I have never ran away from anyone.
I am like you in that regard, but we differ in one respect. I constantly find success; I constantly strive to become the best and constantly deliver on my promises. What are you going to say this week Andrew? How are you going to come at this match? Will you continue to play the part of the underdog, who just might be able to overcome the big bad tyrant and save the world?
No offense, you aren’t Emilio Estevez and this is no Disney movie. This is real life Andrew, this is where the winners assemble and although I appreciate your guts, and your determination I don’t respect the lack of brains you exhibit. Last week, a man who made you question your career when you faced him called me out, Alex called me out and I took him to the ring and humiliated him. After that match there was no question who the better wrestler was, who the bigger force was.

I know that my partners see the big picture, I know that although they both want to wear the title that sits proudly upon my waist, that they know I am the right person to hold it.
And they know their time will come.
I have faith in my team Andrew. Do you have faith in yours? A hall of famer and a wannabe… Two men who have fallen their way into a main event… I have Lex… I have Charlie… I have two of the most ruthless people in the world on my side.
And you have a has-been spot monkey and a wee little man on your team.
Embrace the role of underdog Andrew. Because I will continue my role of dominant superstar. This weekend, you won’t be leaving with my title, you won’t be the champion.
This isn’t your game… In this game, the bad guy wins.
Well, at least I know my role and play my part well.
