Another month…
Another useless struggle against two walking racial stereotypes.
It seems that this month, the two of you gained the upper hand, it seems that the two of you have been able to blindside us time and time again, and hell the two of you even beat us in singles matches.
Everything looks to be stacked against us this week, everything seems to be pointing towards the end of our reign as tag team champions, everything that is, except the understanding of the ability of American’s to overcome adversity, the ability to rise up against those who have oppressed us, to lay waist to all those who feel our backs are against the ropes.
There is no question, we are backed into a corner this week, but that is when Simon and I are most dangerous. Kelly, a person I used to look at like a little sister has forgotten who helped her through some of her difficult days, forgot who always looked out for her. Power corrupts people and makes them act and behave differently, I thought Kelly was above this and I know she thinks she is doing the right thing.
But you two Australian douchebags are getting involved in something that you don’t want to be stuck in the middle of. You are finding yourself stuck in the center of a game that neither of you are going to want to be part of. You see, Kelly, she isn’t just running a business here, things have slowly turned from being good for business to getting extremely personal.
She messed with my family.
You messed with my family.
I have tried to keep my emotions in check, I have tried beyond anything I have ever done. And it isn’t working, I feel an impalpable rage growing, seeing what the two of you have done to my daughter, seeing what Kelly has turned my son into and I am getting to the point where I know it is time to get involved. I know that this weekend I am coming to this ring with one purpose, to beat the two of you within an inch of your lives.
You aren’t talented… You aren’t even mediocre… You are two men who are going to see what happens when you get forced in the middle of a blood feud, a feud that you have no place in. I know that working with Kelly you feel that you are finally part of something; you are finally getting a chance to make your way to the top.
But the only thing you are getting a chance at is getting my foot rammed straight up your ass. Because it has been a long time since I have been incensed like I am now, this return was supposed to be one last fun run at the wrestling world, a way so I could go out on my terms. I came back for Kelly.
Do you remember that? How I came back to get the titles back for you?
How quickly you forget Kelly. I will remind you what I am capable of, and I will remind you through your henchmen Kelly. I am going to humiliate them by waving my throbbing purple lightsaber around the ring, leaving anything in my wake destroyed but still desiring more.
{Scene opens to the basement of Gib’s facilities, Gib is doing pushups relentlessly, his body toned and muscular for a man over the age of fifty. Sweat pours from his face as he jumps to his feet, begins running in place. Simon walks down the stairs and looks at his mentor with a glint of surprise}
Simon: What the hell are you doing? You don’t train like this anymore.
Gib: Something has to change. I am done sitting back and watching as my kids get humiliated and turned against me. I am done seeing a girl that I looked at like a little sister do everything in her power to show her power, it has gone beyond that she won. She has Adam in her offices, she has my son standing at the door my daughter is getting involved in strange sexual situations when she should be in your undersized girly arms.
{Simon’s face lights up at this}
Simon: What are you saying you would like it if your daughter was with me?
Gib: See Simon, in life you have to look at alternatives. If the alternative to you being with my daughter is having her involved in some sort of Australian gang bang then of course I am going to choose you, and I will make a man of you if it is the last thing I do. These week, we take a stand, this week we go to the ring and blast these guys in the face, we make an example of them and we hurt them.
Simon: And then what?
Gib: And then I am going to take my American flag, march back to the offices and take a **** right on Kelly’s desk. I hope like hell she understands what that means because, I am sick of taking ****, so from now I am going to be leaving it. I will leave it on desks, in hats, take out boxes, everywhere. It doesn’t matter. If Kelly wants a war with Gib, then she is about to get it.
Simon: Are you sure your heart will be able to hold up?
Gib: My heart won’t last much longer going the way things are going now. It has been a long time since I have wanted to put my all into something but I will be honest, seeing the way you care about my daughter makes me feel all warm and gooey inside. I want to help restore balance and maybe, just maybe I can help Kelly see the error of her ways.
Simon: You have a better chance of getting rid of your herpes.
Gib: They aren’t always there.
Simon: They are always contagious.
Gib: Then I wonder why you don’t have them on your face…
{Simon smiles, looking at his newly rejuvenated and focused mentor as the scene fades}
It is time fellas. It is time for you to really get an understanding for who I really am. Simon and I, we have proven time and time again that we are the best tag team in the world today, we have proven it against teams from all over the world and have proven it to hall of famers but still you think you have a shot.
Well you are about to see something new, something that hasn’t existed for quite a long time. You are going to see a focused and dangerous Gib, a Gib who is fighting for a purpose not just for pride. You are going to see a man possessed, a man that is nothing like you run of the mill wrestle for money losers.
Wrestling is what I am…
Wrestling has always been who I have been…
When you face against me, you aren’t finding someone who fell into a profession, or someone that thought it would be convenient to have this job, I have been in that ring in some way shape or form for over thirty years. The two of you weren’t raised on wrestling, you were raised as some hokey Australian swamp scum that due to freakish genes fit the bill as people large enough to wrestle.
Kingsley, I especially have a bone to pick with you, you pinned me this month. You defeated me in singles competition and that is something I won’t accept any further. I can deal with losing to my son, who is the world champion. I can deal with losing to Andrew Jacobsen, who is a number one contender but I can’t stand the fact that I lost to a no talent crocodile hunting hack such as yourself.
You caught me off my game, you caught me at my very worst. And I will tell you what, you won’t catch me like that again. I am focused, I am ready, and I will do my part in retaining our tag team titles. I will do it because I care more.
You have been parading our titles around like common thieves, you took them from us but you didn’t take the title of champion from before our names. You didn’t take what really matters, you didn’t affect our fighting spirit or our desire to spread the word that is America to everyone, whether they want to hear it or not.
This weekend, you face the very best tag team in this business, a title that you will never hold. For as long as in some carnival there are two midgets fighting a fat woman, there will always be someone better then the two of you sorry criminals.
This weekend I am going to ROCK again… And when the crowd is on their feet, pumping their fists and I am pretending to slap hands with the crowd so I can look down the blouse of well endowed women a fire will be lit, a torch will be ignited.
And the two of you will never be the same.
{Scene opens to the upstairs of Gib’s house, Simon is walking out the front door and almost instantly after he leaves a distraught Jenny Williams walks in. Her eyeliner is smeared down her face and you can tell how upset she is. Gib instantly walks over and puts his arms around her, she buries her face in his shoulder sobbing}
Jenny: I don’t know what I did… I don’t know why…
{Gib pats her on the back}
Gib: You didn’t do anything honey, this is his journey. He needs to find his way home and he will find his way home eventually; we all just need a little patience.
Jenny: I am not getting any younger, I ended it. I threw the ring at him, I wasn’t going to follow him down that path… That is why I came here, to get my stuff.
{Gib looks shocked}
Gib: Look, don’t… Don’t leave me too.
{She looks up at Gib now, holding him at arms length. His face carrying the pain of a man who can’t lose anything else, not now, for fear of what might become.}
Jenny: What do you mean?
Gib: I lost Xander here, he has packed up and gone. I lost Sydney… I can’t lose another, just stick around. We have fun around here, I can help train you and we can lean on each other for support through this… And for probably the first time in my life while talking to a smoking hot young lady, I don’t mean lean on in a grossly perverted erotic way.
{Jenny looks at Gib, a person who has become a father figure to her over the past few months and she smiles}
Jenny: You really wouldn’t mind if I stayed here? Just until I get my life back on track?
Gib: Like I say, if you aren’t staying for you, please stay for me. I don’t know what will happen in this place all by myself. I built this place so I could be surrounded by my family, not so I could spend the days alone watching odd internet pornographic videos while sending money to my friends in Nigeria to help them free money from their bank accounts.
{Jenny smiles, giggles a little and then hugs Gib again}
Jenny: Ok then, it is settled.
Gib: Look, I can’t promise I am not going to try and look in the bathroom when you are in the shower; I am only human after all.
{Jenny just laughs before going to the counter and grabbing Gib’s keys.}
Jenny: We might as well take the boat out then, before the weather gets too cold…
Gib: Sure thing, but no one has ever driven the boat but me…
Jenny: Well, you are going to have to get used to new things.
{Gib smiles as Jenny heads down the hall, the scene fades}
I am not empty. There is plenty left to fight for…
I fight for my family, in hopes that I can release them from the tethers that bind them to the powers that beat.
I fight for those that have become my family in order to show them how much they mean to them and help them through the tough times.
I fight for the business… To make sure we don’t lose our way.
And I fight for myself…
Because I don’t know any other way.
