My eyes open, a smile comes across my face.
“I saw you coming and I wanted to give you that National title shot. I wanted to because if a champion does not face the best the champion does not deserve to be champion. Hence why Xander Famularo doesn’t deserve to be world champion. That may offend some people, because let’s face it, Xander is the golden boy. But in my humble opinion, if Xander wants to be taken seriously after committing theft in taking the world title away from Ricky Johnson after Trent Helms dropped the ball then he needs to defend the title against someone more credible than Andrew Jacobsen....”
“And I am much more credible than Andrew Jacobsen. This past week I went one on one with the champ and took him to the limit. I showed my hand and lost cause let’s face it, Xander IS good. But come on now, is there anyone else in NCW as good as me?. Xavier Williams, Charlie Velez, supposed “stars” men who I was supposed to lose to, men who were to use me as a stepping stone back to glory as I went on a downward spiral. They failed. I continually show how good I am by defeating guys who are supposed to be the best. Todd Williams, a man who was a world champion lost twice to me, once as the champ and once afterwards....”
“Yet, I sit back and watch as Andrew Jacobsen stumbles his way through these matches with Xander, his inability to score only matched by a blind man stumbling through a brothel with his hard on in his hand. And we’re supposed to believe these matches are anything more than Xander and Kelly’s way of keeping that belt and the power on NCW in their fold?. Their power was threatened by Ricky Johnson, so they made sure it stayed with them and that is what these matches are. Nothing but a farce........”
I sit forward and smirk.
“And that brings me to this point. I like you Verona. I always have, I always looked at you as the future of NCW. I always knew you’d get a shot and be “that guy”. And both of us have had our dreams crumble to dust and slip through our fingers. But the difference between us Roberto is that my “whining” is my truth, I got screwed out of MY world title twice, I had the gold in my hands and a member of the knite family bent me over and went all Kobe on my ass. But Verona, you didn’t get screwed, you choked like a lazy prom date.”
“If you can’t see the hypocrisy in that Roberto then you are truly blind and your revolution philosophy was always a lie. You wanted a change in NCW, you wanted the status quo changed, I am that change to the status quo. For months I have beaten men who are apparently “the best”. Todd, Xavier, Charlie Velez, even the unstoppable monster Lex Sense have fallen before me. Each Victory, another rung on a ladder leading back to my goal. The NCW world title. The road to the gold is coming fast Verona. A shot for us all to fight our way to that title and you are my warm up....”
“I don’t mean that in a disrespectful way, but you are a chance for me to continue my momentum into a meeting with Xander. And I say Xander because Jacobsen has about as much chance of winning as the Raiders do of making the play off’s. But I would like to focus on you telling me, and the world, that I apparently don’t deserve anything. So I can go through the roster and beat everyone they put in front of me, bar the champ, and I don’t deserve a title shot yet some choking douchebag who was nothing more than a mediocre X-Division champion, a backpack tag team champion and a man who failed on three separate occasions to beat me for the belt you eventually won?......”
I scoff and throw my arms in the air shaking my head.
“So that guy deserves a shot yet I don’t?. I have worked and clawed my way back to the top beating the best of the best, so don’t you ever say I don’t deserve it just because you’re too lazy to think up anything else. Week after week it’s the same thing “Alex Jones whining, Alex wants something he hasn’t earned” and these things are said not out of spite but out of ignorance and laziness because you unoriginal ****s cannot think of anything else to say to me....”
“And I honestly expected more from you Roberto. I expected you to maybe, just maybe respect my fight and see that I am trying to free the world from Xander Famularo. But instead, because you’re tired, lazy and heartbroken I get this dribble?. I haven’t beat anyone of relevance?. What a way to insult Xavier, Charlie and Todd three former world champions and Lex a guy who should have been champion, oh and Mike Laszlo who at the time was a DOUBLE CHAMP. So wow, I guess maybe next time instead of being a lazy moron you should go back and have a look at just who has been under my boot you sanctimonious son of a bitch.”

“I have earned my title shot Verona. Over and over again. I’ve had two in four years and I’ve watched others get infinite chances till they get what they want all because they could kiss the right peoples asses. Rob Diamond, Steve Awesome even Ricky Johnson got more chances in three months than I got in four years. So you tell me Verona. All the guys I beat, the titles I won, the times I saved NCW from Adam and from the Young Guns, the question isn’t “why do I deserve a shot” it’s “why haven’t I had one”. Hell even Trent Helms a guy who is a “star” who spends more time with his ass on a bench looking at the world pass him by than Darren Mcfadden get’s more shots than me.....”

Time and time again I prove myself and I show just how good I am just to have it spat back in my face and I have people like you tell me NO, no Alex no matter how much you prove yourself to be worthy we’re going to tell you no, we’re going to put others ahead of you and tell me Verona when does it stop?....”
“How manyu former champs do I have to beat?. How many hoops do I have to jump through?. Truth is there is one last hurdle I need to go through....the road to the gold......”
