Winning is the key
Stephen Kingsley is seen sitting on his couch watching a video on his TV. The camera focuses on what was on the screen.
Jaymie Boone: Here is Kingsley, he comes to the ring again by himself…
Preston Marshall: Cyrus Daniels hasn’t been seen for weeks, but Kingsley has said everything is fine with him.
Jaymie Boone: Let’s hope so, Cyrus is a dreamboat.
As the camera focus on Stephen Kingsley, we notice that Cyrus Daniels is sitting on the couch.
Stephen Kingsley: Jaymie Boone thinks you are a "dreamboat." Nicole might become jealous.
Cyrus Daniels smiles, something uncharacteristic from the big man and something that surprises Stephen who has never seen him smile.
Stephen Kingsley: Cyrus smiles? What's up with that?
Daniels: I'm smiling because you sound more jealous about what Jaymie said than Nicole ever could be, mate...
Stephen Kingsley: ME..... jealous of you.... you still must be sick. So what's the doctor's order?
The smile fades from Cyrus' face and the serious demeanor returns.
Daniels: I'm on the road to a full recovery and unlike your Road To The Gold, I'm confident that I will make it...
Stephen Kingsley: People have been wondering about you? I have been telling them that everything is well.
Daniels: Things are well...thanks to your sister's healing hands of course...
Stephen has a concern look on his face and begins to shake his head.
Stephen Kingsley: So is Nicole going to allow you at ringside this Sunday?
Daniels: I may well be there because its obvious you need me out there, mate...
Stephen Kingsley: Just because I have been losing in single matches.... well.... we are a team.
Daniels: Yes, we are a team, and we will be back in the title hunt sooner than a lot of people think...
Stephen Kingsley: You do have to admit that I gave Falcon a run for his money.
Daniels: You did well, however now it’s time for you to put your name back on the map with definite wins, not just close calls..
Stephen Kingsley: I know...and it starts at Road to The Gold. Just like in prison...show them how serious I can be in that ring.
Daniels: Exactly, it is time for the crocodile hunter to go hunt.
Stephen Kingsley: Hunt the prey and skin it alive!
He fast forwards the video until he came to the ending of his match against Falcon a couple of weeks ago.
{Falcon waits for Kingsley to turn, and after he does he boots him in the stomach and lifts him with the Aerial Spike, he gets a three count as the match ends}
Jaymie Boone: Kingsley is so close every time he is in the match.
Preston Marshall: He dominated the hall of famer before losing, he has a bright future here.
Stephen Kingsley: According to Preston Marshall I have a “bright future” here in New Championship Wrestling. Most of the time I have wrestled in Tag Team matches with my partner Cyrus Daniels. I have to venture off and wrestle in singles matches. I have won some of my matches and I have loss some of my matches. I would say that I am doing ok in singles matches, I mean I defeated Gib in a single match. I defeated Simon Daye in a single match. I have been up against some of the best here in nCw. I know what it feels like to have your hands raised in victory. I also know what it feels like coming so close and ending up looking at the lights.
Stephen Kingsley stands up from the couch. We notice that Cyrus was no longer sitting on the couch.
Stephen Kingsley: Every wrestler wants to be the World Champion. I mean that is why we got into wrestling. Well, the reason why I came to nCw is so that Criminal Intent will be Tag Team Champions. Eventually that will happen but for now as I participate in singles matches my eyes are centered not on the Tag Team Champions, but on another belt. Yes I did say another belt and not another man. No one wants to be like Joe Everyman.
Stephen Kingsley has a smirk on his face. He takes his vest off and places it on the couch. He walks into the kitchen and grabs a bottle of water that was sitting on the counter and takes a drink from it. He placed it back on the counter.
Stephen Kingsley: Two giants will be facing each other this Sunday at Road to the Gold. “The Feature Attraction” JJ Biggs is a newcomer. He has some matches under his belt here at nCw. I might say that he started out well.
Stephen Kingsley walks back into his living room. He goes past the door that leads to Nicole bedroom. He walks over to the fireplace.
Stephen Kingsley: Cyrus hit the nail on the head. I have had some close matches and I need to get back on track. JJ Biggs you have done nothing to me but when that bell rings this Sunday night at Road to the Gold you will be wondering what the hell I did to deserve this kind of treatment. I want to have a bright future here in nCw and if that means winning in singles competition or in Tag Team, either way winning is the key.
