The scene opens backstage at the previous Collision in the medics office, Davey sitting, leaning back on a chair as the medic is tending to his head wound, Davey seems to be out of it.
Preston: DAVEY!
Davey:Ahh..what..wha...what happened? Am I dead? Oh God Preston! I'm in Hell!
Preston: Your not in Hell Davey, you're in Canada.
Davey: How is that better?
Preston: I...yeah OK.
Davey: What happened?
Preston takes a sigh
Preston: You won.
Davey: I did? Ya, good job me. I want to just take a week, I need a week.
Preston: Sorry, the Road is next week.
Davey: Ah, I see. Well damn, screws that idea. Who am I facing?
Preston: I'm not sure yet, card hasn't been released.
We now fast forward to just after O-TV
Preston: Yeah, you beat Trent Helms on Collision.
Davey: I don't remember that.
Preston: What? What do you mean you don't remember?
Preston sits on the computer chair, doing some quick keystrokes and brings up Davey and Trent's match. Davey walks over and sits next to him, watching.
Davey: I remember all of this, and that...but not after that so much.
The that is the Corkscrew Kamikaze Headbut he did on Trent while a chair was placed on his head. Davey keeps watching, almost liking he is seeing some of it for the first time.
Davey: I saved Adam Knite?
Preston: Yeah, I know i was shocked yet not at the same time. You really don't remember that?
Davey: Not really, I mean its hazy. Think this could have long term affects?
Preston: I don't know, You seem to remember everything up to this point, except the events right after that lovely head wound of yours. So I would assume not, so what exactly are your thoughts about Wired?
Davey: I honestly have no qualm about being on Wired. I mean yes it is disappointing to not be on the Road, but looking at the card I can understand. We have a phenomenal cad this year, and I get to watch it. I get to see it, not have a match on my mind and kick back and watch the grandest show from the best company in North America.
So why are the two of you doing so much bitching? Actually Laszlo I can understand you. Your claim is kind of legitimate. This is the second year you have be shafted by nCw, and I have to take my hat off to them. They know just having your name on that card of sold a few less seats. I mean I know your good, hell some argue great. Though much like Mitt Romney people just don't like you. It's not an aspect about you, it's not your incredible egotism. Not your annoying valet, what's her name. It's not even the fact that you are just a bastard. It's you, so no matter how hard you try you will never impress the staff enough to be on The Road to the Gold.
Don't you understand it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter that you are the longest reigning Honor and X Champion, which is a respectable achievement. You will always be here, on Wired. Get used to it. Besides, I'm about to do something I rarely do...so you should feel honored. Ahem...you are right, your right. I gaffed, and you caught it. Congratulations. That's what you want right? Adulation? You want to be told good job and way to go, and always have to be right. Sounds like someone didn't enough hugs from Daddy. I wonder if the Laszlo family even cares about what you have done, your successes here may mean nothing to them...and that's amusing.
So give yourself that pat on the back you so eagerly await, because come Wired I'm going to prove to be beyond your spectrum. You see this time I don't have to worry about a self absorbed wanna be Lance Ryan to worry about watching my back. This time I have a dependable and sociable partner, I think I may be able to communicate with this one. I do feel bad for Charity. Heed my warning young lady, take the initiative. It's going to be the only way you will see action.
Though Mike you and Charity are only one team, with the other consisting of Joe Everyman and Cynthia Warren. Honestly I don't know much about your partner Joe, other than she is our Starlets Champion. Though I'm sure all these ladies are great in their division, and no disrespect intended but...it's really only Everyman and Laszlo on my mind. Now Joe, I have nothing but respect for you too. You do something that I really never do, and that's fight from the heart. I always use calculations, logic, and reason to predict your next move, and then simply adjust the situation to my favor...thought with you that is always a problem. I always forget that variable you posses, and I know both you and Laszlo are dangerous but he is predictable, while you have done some incredible things that most never thought you would do.
So yes we have mutual respect, that is now established but this fact changes nothing. I'm still going to fight you above my abilities, because this match is going to put us all to the test.
So go ahead and bitch, whine and complain about not being on the main card, I say this match could rise above any of the rest simply because of the paths that could intertwine in this match. So many people just kind of here...maybe I'll decide I enjoy putting Lysol in his place, or making a goal of two time tag team champion with Joe Everyman sounds tempting as well. This match has so many opportunities, grab them.
