SEGMENT
Mike Laszlo
“Interview”
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After commercial break we see Carly Robins backstage, a microphone in hand.
Carly Robins: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, the Number One Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at Breaking Away…Mike Laszlo.
The crowd can be heard with a still mixed reaction though lately those mixed reactions have become more cheers than boos after the feuding with Roberto Verona. The camera widens out and shows Laszlo, an ice cold stare into the camera as Carly asks her questions.
Carly Robins: Mike…
Laszlo turns toward the young interviewer.
Carly Robins: Last week, despite being thrown out of the arena by Kelly Fox, which wasn’t reported or shown on camera due to time constraints, you still showed back up and looked to take out the World Champion after what he did to you two weeks ago. After you got the upper hand, Roberto escaped with his World Title leaving the crowd in attendance wanting more. Your thoughts?
A smirk comes over the face of Laszlo as he readies himself to answer the question.
Mike Laszlo: My thoughts? You want my thoughts?
Carly Robins: If you’d please?
Mike Laszlo: Well first off, I wouldn’t mind taking you out to dinner sometime.
The crowd cheers and a few cat calls can be heard. Carly turns away, the color in her cheeks turning a bit of a red tint.
Mike Laszlo: But, that’s another story for another time that probably shouldn’t be reported. As far as our gutless World Champion Roberto Verona goes…
There’s a pause in the interview as the crowd boos the current champion.
Mike Laszlo: There’s one word to describe him…coward. He has a yellow streak going up and down his spine like he rolled in a vat of corn this past Thursday.
The crowd lets out a bit of a laugh.
Mike Laszlo: Make no mistake about it, I want to get my hands on Roberto and beat him worse than any other time I’ve ever beaten him before, and I will.
The anticipation of the crowd wanting someone to give Roberto what he deserves causes a roar.
Mike Laszlo: Tonight however, I have to settle for the so-called “King of NCW.” Well to put it bluntly for the world…tonight, I dethrone the king!
Again another roar of anticipation.
Mike Laszlo: There is one thing that is getting on my nerves. I walk through airports, and on the streets of cities and everyone keeps thanking me. They thank me for giving them someone to root for since their so-called “hero” turned his back on them. There’s a problem with what they’re saying. I’m not doing it for them.
This results in a few boos from the crowd who are now confused.
Mike Laszlo: Don’t get me wrong, I’ve never minded these people. I however am not one to care about what people think of me. I do what I want, when I want, and there’s not a damn person who can stop me or tell me different.
Carly Robins: So your goals for the end of the year are?
Mike Laszlo: Simple. Tonight, I dethrone the so-called king and take his throne. Then I take hold of the World Title at Breaking Away, and from there on out TRUE CHANGE will occur here in NCW and it will be me who ushers it in.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MATCH TWO
Will Washington vs. Davey Ortega
Singles Match
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
{ ''Back in the Saddle Again'' hits the speakers as the fans have a mixed reaction. Davey Ortega comes from the back and stand on the entrance way looking to the ring, then eying both sides of the crowed. He walks down the ring with confidence, making his way up the stairs to the apron, he walks to the middle of the apron and turns to acknowledge the fans, raising his hand for a photo opportunity before he gets into the ring and waits.
Eric Hardy: Davey Ortega is always dangerous.
Dave Holland: Indeed, very smart, very cunning.
{The lights in the arena go dark and the crowd anticipation amplifies. ‘Battle of Heroes’ by John Williams hits throughout the arena, giving us an epic feel, before a single spotlight shines down at the top of the ramp. Will Washington steps out into the spotlight and soaks in it’s rays. After a moment of this, Will throws a punch and an explosion of pyrotechnics goes off on each side of the spotlight, and the arena lights come back on. Will looks to both sides of the crowd before smirking and starting down the ramp.}
Amber Ashe: “Making his way to the ring..... From Cambridge, Massachusetts..... Weighing in at two hundred and thirty-two pounds.… ‘The Patriotic Paragon’… Will Washington!”
{Washington walks down the ramp with a certain swagger as the feeling of superiority washes over him. He reaches the arena steps and walks up them before turning around to play to the crowd. Our hero turns back around and wipes his boots on the outside ring apron before stepping through the ropes. He climbs to the top turnbuckle and smirks out towards the fans before dropping back down and removing his dog tags, handing them to someone at ringside. Washington looks backs into a corner and stands there, getting loose while waiting for the match to start.}
Willy Carter: Why don't you say something about how dangerous
Will Washington is?
Eric Hardy: I will. He is extremely skilled in the ring.
Dave Holland: He's one of the few men to walk into the Coliseum and walk out a winner.
{ The bell rings and the start of the match up begins with Washington and Ortega pulling together and battling to get the best out of a lock up. Washington getting the best of Ortega pulls him close under his arm for a headlock. Keeping a tight squeeze surprisingly, Ortega holding the back of Washington throws him into the ropes up a head. Washington bounces back infront of Ortega before throwing a stiff arm that sends Ortega on his back. Washington looking backwards quickly walks himself to the ropes behind him. Ortega who's laying on his back at this point, rolls slightly to the left as Washington jumps over top. Bouncing into the ropes again infront of him, Washington again finds himself close to Ortega who quickly bounces back to his feet. With a pull over, Ortega quickly gets on the offensive side of things with a hip toss. Again with both to there feet a hip toss again is delivered by Ortega who immediately locks his arm over Washingtons into an arm bar. Settling the hold in, Washington refuses to give up. Washington moving swiftly flips around until he gets back on his feet. Twirling the arm of Ortega who tightly never lets go of the hold reverses the arm bar into an irish whip. Washington bends down looking towards a back body drop lucks out as Ortega reverses into a swinging neckbreaker. Just as Ortega pushes Washington up enough to pull him down, Washington pushes away the hand of Ortega before moving into the back. Lasing his hands around the body of Ortega, Washington delivers a German suplex. Washington still with his hands around the body of Ortega looks to score another. Ortega who doesn't allow it, reverses himself to the back of Washington before pulling him down with a Russian Leg Sweep. Ortega gets back to his feet. Washington who takes his time, uses the turnbuckle to receive leverage. Ortega moving himself over to the turnbuckle turns Washington around. Aiming for the face of Washington, Ortega delivers some hard rights. Back and fourth, right after right, Ortega won't stop. He then after awhile grabs hold of Will's hand before twisting him over an pulling him forward in the form of a Uranage. Washington breaks not only the move but the thought with a few elbows to the face of Ortega. Davey who reacts to the elbows lets go of the hold. Backing himself into the ropes he is thrown to the ropes infront of him just as Washington walks over. Ortega who comes back to Washington is caught in the act of moving by a tight hold around his waist. Washington delivers a huge belly-to-belly suplex before going for the pin. 1....2... Ortega kicks out.}
Eric Hardy: Close call there.
Willy Carter: Will's bigger and stronger than Ortega. No way he can keep him down for too long. What has he ever done anyway?
Dave Holland: Davey Ortega is a fine competetor, Willy.
Willy Hardy: He sucks.
{ Washington who gets back to his feet moves over to a staggered Ortega who can't find the energy to get up. Holding the ropes and hanging over the body of Ortega, Washington begins rampidly stomping at Davey. Washington who stops at this point with stomping, grabs Ortega by the head. Pulling him back to his feet, Washington throws Ortega into the turnbuckle nearest to both. Pulling him away, looking to have the irish whip, it is then reversed with Ortega throwing Washington into the turnbuckle hard. With the reaction vibrating the ring, it also brings Washington back into the middle of the ring before being taken down by Ortega as he delivers a dropkick. Ortega goes for the pin 1....2..kickout. Getting back to his feet, Ortega ducks down with a stare to his eyes at Washington who lays down due to the drop. The fans begin a large uproar knowing a big move is near. Washington taking his time slowly, getting up. Turning around, Ortega moves for the prey with his arm out ready to hook, Washington surprisingly with all the reverses yet pulls another one. Using his left hand, Washington pulls the head of Ortega over the top turnbuckle. Bouncing it over and over again over the cushion, Washington comes to a stop. He then turns Ortega around. Grabbing waist and some of his legs, Washington sits Ortega on the top rope. Climbing just after, Washington looks to go for a suplex. Pulling the hand of Washington over his neck, Ortega reacts with adrenaline using the lose hand to snap back with a pair of rights sending Washington off the turnbuckle. Down for a few seconds, Ortega uses this time to pull himself to the very top of the turnbuckle. Using to much time, suddenly Washington jumps back into the picture leaping back to the top pulling Ortega down with a HUGE belly-to-belly suplex. Both are down.}
Willy Carter: Nice one, Will!
Eric Hardy: A huge move by Will Washington there!
Dave Holland: Both men are down again, but Will Washington should still have the advantage.
{ Mitch Kennedy begins a count. Just at the count of 5, both begin back to there feet. A little dazed once up both turn away from eachother. Just then both turn around to the site of one another. Washington quickly grabs the legs of Ortega down such like a sharpshooter, Ortega struggles as Washington steps through grapevines the legs, and locks in the "Enhanced Interrogation Tacticts (Hart Lock) Ortega cries out in pain, then taps out }
Willy Carter: See, what did I tell you Ortega sucks!
Dave Holland: I'd like to see you survive that.
Eric Hardy: Gentlemen, please.
{ Washington's music plays as he releases his submission hold and holds his arms in the air. He rolls out of the with his fist in the air.}
Eric Hardy: Will Washington picks up the victory here tonight.
-------------------------[::COMMERCIAL BREAK::]-------------------------
Eric Hardy: And we're back ladies and gentlemen. Next up we have a six man tag match lined up that is sure to...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MATCH THREE
Curtis Kanyon and Cabeza Del Queso vs. Andrew Jacobsen, Xavier Williams, and The Ace
6 Man Tag Match
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
{Hardy is rudely cut off when the opening trumpet brings the lights of the arena down to pitch black, and as the soft piano kicks in, our attention is drawn to the blinking amber lights of a Spade symbol in the darkness. As the lyrics to "Skyfall", by Adele kick in, a single white spotlight eliminates the circular platform that The Ace is stood upon with his back towards us, the platform is decorated to look like a roulette wheel. Slowly it spins a full one-eighty degrees and as the chorus is reached, the lights in the arena start to flash yellow and cards begin to fall from the rafters. The Ace waits a moment before stepping off the platform and grasping the hand of Kathleen Conway, who is carrying her husband's steel rake in one hand and the couple proudly walk through the shower of falling cards, hand in hand. At the foot of the ramp, the cards stop falling as the couple share a kiss. The Ace then confidently struts over to the steel steps as Kathy remains at ringside, armed. As the Ace begins climbing into the ring the music shifts to "Gasoline", By Meek Mill...}
"I check you like I might quit, comin out ya damn mouth
catch you while tha cameras off, show up to ya damn house
'Like excuse me MA’AM where such & such ride hard no buckle up'
All left hooks, right uppercuts, shoot you like the beat then **** you up"
{... Xavier emerges on the ramp as the crowd gets loud. Black hoodie, hood up, and black skull bandanna covering his face. Xavier walks to the side of the stage, as he just looks up into the stands. He walks back to the middle and drops to a knee, he looks out into the crowd and a pulls down the bandanna, he looks up and a smirk comes over his face, he stand up and lets out a loud yell as he makes his way down the ramp when suddenly, a loud air raid siren splits the air as the main guitar riff of "Indestructible" hits, and Andrew Jacobsen comes striding out onto the ramp. He takes a few steps forward, looking to either side. Andrew looks dead ahead at the ring, making a gun shape with his hand, and pulls his thumb across his throat as a mass of red and green pyro goes off behind him. Jacobsen walks down the ramp, staring dead at the ring, and pulls himself up onto the apron. He climbs through the second rope and walks to his team's corner where he huddles up with his teammates and goes over the plan.}
Eric Hardy: Well, before I was so rudely interrupted by The Ace I was going to say that this six man tag match is going to be...
{Suddenly Eric Hardy is interrupted by the sounds of thunder!}
Eric hardy: I give up.
{"Lord of Thunder", by Rhapsody hits the speakers as Curtis D. Kanyon does a Jeff Jarrett strut out from the back with a sledgehammer in hand. He walks up to the stage and stares out into the crowd who are all chanting, "WE WANT TWINKIES! WE WANT TWINKIES! WE WANT TWINKIES!}
Willy Carter: Damn straight! Let me get one of them delicious little Hostess cakes too, ya dig.
{Curtis then pounds his chest and raises his hammer up into the air as Cabeza de Queso comes out from behind the curtain carrying open boxes of Twinkies. They march down the aisle as three warriors under the banner of Thor, tossing Twinkies into the audience that seem to be rioting for just one. Curtis, proud of his charity tussles the head of a small child sitting at ringside before sliding in. Cabeza de Quezo continue to throw out Twinkies until the boxes are empty and then they join CDK in the ring.}
Davey Holland: Americans and their love for sugar. Anyways, this six man tag match featuring four World Champions and a tag team desperate for a shot should make for an interesting one.
Eric Hardy: And nobody interrupted him. Curtis D. Kanyon and Cabeza de Queso surprisingly seem to work well together.
Willy Carter: Almost like they got history.
Eric Hardy: Right. And while everything seemed friendly between The Ace, Xavier Williams and Andrew Jacobsen in recent interviews, one has to wonder if that colorful history wont come into play.
Willy Carter: You call mah boy X colored one more time and it be on, dude.
Eric Hardy: I'll try and refrain.
{El Nacho steps up for his team as Curtis slaps him in the chest, proud of his teammate for taking initiative while Andrew looks to want to start but a grumpy Ace shoves him aside and begins circling Nacho like a vulture. The bell rings and Nacho flexes for whatever reason only for Ace to see the opening and toe kick him as low as he could without being disqualified. Nacho keels over as Curtis yells to the ref that it was a low blow but the official shakes his head as Ace hits clubbing blow after clubbing blow to the back of the luchadors head. Nacho is beaten down to a knee where he's nastily brought back to an upright position with a running knee to the face. Nacho stumbles back into the ropes, where he leans on them holding his face only to be kneed in the face once again with a jumping knee lift that sends Nacho over the ropes and tumbling to the outside.}
Eric Hardy: Ace does not appear to be in a good mood gentlemen.
Willy Carter: I wouldn't be either if some psycho-tramp tried to ruin my marriage.
Dave Holland: Yeah well he better be careful because Andrew doesn't seem to like this offense.
{Andrew is screaming at Ace to back off but Ace waves him off as he steps out of the ring and begins stomping the ever loving crap out of Nacho. Curtis and Dinero are arguing with the ref who is holding them at bay to try and maintain some control but the distraction allows Ace to rip Nacho off the floor and fiercely slam Nachos face into the guardrail five times before he takes him by the mask and brutally chucks him into the steel steps! Amazingly it's Andrew that comes around and yanks Ace by his shoulder and gets in his face. They exchange words and Ace holds his arms up as if listening to Andrew's reasoning. Andrew goes back to his corner and Ace picks up the carcass of Nacho and sends the dead weight sliding back into the ring.}
Willy Carter: Ace gonna get his team disqualified if keep acting the fool.
Dave Holland: Either that or get CDK so worked over he starts BANG!ing everybody in sight.
Eric Hardy: None of those sound too appealing.
{Curtis is screaming as he looks as angry as a bull seeing red. Ace taunts Nacho by nudging his face with a boot to bring him back around. Ace steps back, allowing Nacho to stumble back to his feet. Ace slaps his thigh and looks to want to hit his finisher but forgetting how close he was to his own team's corner, Xavier reaches in and slaps his back. Ace looks at X who mouths the words, "You done, homeboy.", and then is forced out of the ring as Xavier springboards into the ring and levels Nacho just as he was standing with a springboard left-handed lariat! X hooks the leg and 1... 2... DINERO RUNS IN WITH THE ELBOW DROP TO THE SPINE FOR THE SAVE!}
Willy Carter: Mah boy X don't look too happy about that.
Eric Hardy: Did he expect to be gift-wrapped the win?
Dave Holland: I think the real news is the arguing going between The Ace and Andrew.
Willy Carter: And here I thought they was buddy buddy.
{Andrew and Ace are definitely arguing as Black Jesus seems upset over Dinero's little elbow drop so he picks up Nacho and straight out throws him into the corner and points to Dinero. Curtis looks to reach in for the tag but Dinero stops him and then points to himself. Curtis gives him the permission and Dinero tags himself in and immediately goes toe to toe with Xavier. Dinero and Xavier exchange fist after fist but X is one man you don't want to play this game with and his hard hitting shots eventually give him the upperhand as he decks Suave in the face repeatedly, backing him into the corner. Xavier then takes Dinero by the arm and whips him into the opposing ropes as he bounces off the ones behind him so he'd meet the masked wrestler in the middle of the ring with a "Decapitation Lariat" only Dinero actually runs under it and then up the ropes only to springboard back into a missile dropkick for a little move he calls "Mas Dinero, Mas Problemas"!}
Willy Carter: Ah hell no!I can't believe mah boy X git caught slipping.
Dave Holland: It tends to happen, Willy. No need for the dramatics.
Eric Hardy: In words you would understand. *clears throat* Save the drama fo' yo momma.
{Xavier rolls back to his stomach after being dropkicked square in the chest and even Dinero looks surprised that he actually got a hit in but he quickly crawls across the ring and hooks a leg and 1... XAVIER KICKSOUT! Dinero rises to his feet and begins laying in the kicks as Xavier attempts to push to his knees. Williams manages to get a knee and Dinero comes up from behind looking for a Running Bulldog. He wraps the arm around the head and then signals for it but as he begins to run, Xavier comes to and counters by taking Dinero from behind and lifting him into a Backdrop position but instead of dropping back, Xavier swings the legs forward and brings Dinero's face slamming to the mat! Dinero stops moving and Xavier rises to his feet and backs into a corner where Ace reaches in and slaps the back of X. Ace steps in and Xavier gets in his face.}
Eric Hardy: This team hasn't really been getting along at all.
Dave Holland: And yet they still seem to be winning. Maybe the opposing team should've worried more about the match and less about Twinkies.
Willy Carter: X was about to lay this fool out. Come on, dawg. Ace, you gotta work wit' da team!
Dave Holland: He can't hear you, mate.
{Andrew reaches in and pulls back Xavier, calming him and telling him to step out of the ring as an angry Ace goes back to Dinero. However, the little spat distracted Ace long enough for Dinero to begin a crawl and as Ace was approaching, Suave dived into his corner and tagged in CDK. Curtis steps into the ring as the crowd is cheering his name and the name of the delicious Hostess snack but Ace is having none of it as he turns to his corner and slaps the chest of Andrew, rolling out of the ring to consult with Kathleen. Andrew looks back at Ace and Curtis has time to trek across the ring and forearm Xavier off of the apron before grabbing Andrew by the head and Suplexing him into the ring!}
Willy Carter: Kanyon be throwing them sucka punches. Mah boy X deserves more respect than that.
Eric Hardy: All's fair in war.
Dave Holland: Indeed.
{Kanyon, after Suplexing Andrew gets to his feet and begins to lay down the stomps, kicking Andrew anywhere and everywhere before yanking him off the mat and Strong Whipping him into the corner, following close behind with a monster body splash. Kanyon then wraps his arms around Andrew and tosses him halfway across the ring with a T-Bone Suplex! Kanyon pounds his chest as he rises to his feet before walking over and driving an elbow drop into the chest. Curtis hooks the leg and 1... 2... KICKOUT! Curtis pounds on Andrews face with a few fists before getting to his feet, taking Andrew with him to pitch him into ropes to catch him on the rebound with a Powerslam! Curtis looks pumped as he rises, heads to a corner and begins calling for the "BANG!"(Gore).}
Willy Carter: This may be it right here.
Dave Holland: If he can hit the BANG! it will be.
Eric Hardy: Cabeza de Queso seem to think so.
{Nacho and Dinero are getting a "Twinkies" chant going as Andrew groggily gets to his feet and once standing CDK charges in looking for it but Andrew turns around with a lightning quick "Light's Out"superkick and catches Kanyon in the chin! Curtis stumbles back into the ropes and Nacho slaps his back before he falls through the ropes to the outside. Andrew still dazed is on one knee and Nacho begins jogging in place before springboarding into the ring looking for a Hurincanranna but as he wraps the legs around Andrew's head, Andrew counters into a Powerbomb! Nacho is devestated by the maneuver and Andrew sees him on the floor so he takes him by the arm and pulls him to the middle of the ring for the "Lock and Dam"(Anaconda Vice)! Dinero tries to come in for the save but Xavier flies over Andrew submitting Nacho and clobbers Dinero's chest with the "Buster Wolf"(Shotgun Knees)! Nacho taps out!}
Eric Hardy: Explosive finale as Andrew picks up the victory for his team.
Willy Carter: He wasn't alone, dawg. Mah boy X saved the pin from being broke.
Dave Holland: And Ace... Well he certainly was a factor.
{"Indestructible" hits the speakers as Xavier helps Andrew to his feet, both raising their arms in victory before exiting the ring. Dinero pulls Nacho out and Curtis is recovering from the direct hit of a superkick. However as he's standing, Ace comes up from behind and swings the roulette rake and connects with the back of CDK's head!}
Dave Holland: Another uncalled for action by Ace.
{Ace stands over CDK as the crowd boos. Ace bends over him and screams, "I'm facing Cross. Not You!" and he begins to raise the roulette rake for the coup de grace but the crowd cheers as Cross limps from out of the audience! Ace sees Xavier and swings but Cross ducks and comes back with a kick to the stomach. Ace drops the rake and then dodges a punch, hightailing it out of there through the crowd with Kathy following close behind. Xavier tries to chase but is clearly still hurting from Ace's assault the previous week. Cross tries to help Curtis up but Kanyon shoves him off and then gets in his face as the cameras cut to commercial break.}
