Eric Hardy: A huge night... that begins with Adam Knite special guest referrring our first contest that features Nathan Webb... this should be fair.

Willy Carter: What are you trying to say? My boy Adam isn’t going to call this straight down the middle?

Dave Holland: I beleive that’s pretty much given.

Willy Carter: You too Holland!? How dare you say that about our King.

Eric Hardy: Really Willy? You can’t see this coming?

Josh Stevens vs. Nathan Webb
Singles Match - Special Guest Referee : Adam Knite

Amber Ashe: The following match is set for one fall…..in the Ring currently is the husband of NCW owner Kelly Fox, and the King of New Championship Wrestling as well as the Special Guest Referee…Adam Knite. Introducing First….

{“Fly from the Inside” by Shinedown plays over the loud speaker as Josh Stevens comes out with his back to the audience.}

Eric Hardy: I think Nathan made an excellent point that Josh Stevens is going to be the third wheel in this match tonight.

Dave Holland: Yeah…what really matter tonight is what Adam Knite and Nathan are going to do especially after the events of last week with Nathan totaling Adam Knite’s Mercedes.

Willy Carter: If I were Adam Knite I would do whatever it takes to make sure Josh Stevens wins….Nathan deserves to be punished if for anything then for breaking so many different man laws….you don’t do that to a Benz…

Amber Ashe: Coming to the ring from Toronto, Ontario, Canada he the “Evolution” Josh Stevens.

{Josh Stevens turns around as he hears his name and walks straight to the ring, up the ring steps and goes through the ring ropes waiting for his opponent, Nathan Webb to show up. Suddenly “Forever Shamed” by Godsmack comes over the loud speaker causing Josh Stevens to tense up ever so slightly.}

Amber Ashe: And his opponent from Atlanta Georgia., he is the “Cold Spider” Nathan Webb.

Willy Carter: And here is the douche bag of the year…if there is such an award dog.

Eric Hardy: Obviously Nathan is getting into the Mind Games spirit…and he is doing quite the job getting into Adam Knite’s head.

{Nathan gets into the ring careful of both Josh Stevens, and Adam Knite moving to his corner opposite of Josh Stevens as Adam Knite seeing both wrestlers in the ring moves to Josh Stevens to pat him down. Josh stands there and takes the pat down with his arms out stretched and feet shoulder width apart. Adam Knite gives the okay symbol before taking a step away from Josh in the direction Of Nathan and stops. Adam Knite and Nathan than proceed to stare a hole in each other. After a few seconds Adam Knite looks over his shoulder to Josh and out of nowhere hits a super kick on Josh Stevens sending Josh back into the corner. Adam Knite drags Josh to the center of the ring before hitting him with Knites of the Round.}

Eric Hardy: What the hell is going on here?

Willy Carter: I’ll tell you what it is what I said would happen. Adam Knite showing how mice he is by getting Nathan the win….

Dave Holland: Sure you did…

Willy Carter: I stand by what I said…

{Adam Knite points to Nathan and tells him to pin Josh. Nathan moves to the center of the ring and covers Josh while keeping his eyes locked on Adam Knite’s who counts methodically 1……2…..3. Nathan wins.}

{Nathan gets up as “Forever Shamed” blares on the loudspeakers. As Nathan starts to leave he is grabbed by his shirt collar and pulled back in by Adam Knite. Adam Knite points to himself screaming at Nathan…}

Adam Knite: Aren’t you going to thank me? I am the one who let you win this match. Without me you would have lost and beat down like the dog you are.

{Nathan stares coldly at Adam Knite}

Adam Knite: So….You’re Welcome…now get on your knees and thank your king.

{Nathan turns around and is about to step out of the ring before he out of nowhere hits a back kick to Adam Knite's Gut and lands a measured Brain Freeze {Buzz Saw Kick} to left temple of Adam Knite.}

Willy Carter: How dare you …you ungrateful son of a bitch.

Eric Hardy: Whether you liked the move or not Nathan sent a message to Adam Knite that he is not buying what Adam Knite is selling and that this “war” is far from over.

{Adam Knite is himself unconscious on the ring mat as Nathan kneels down and says just as coldly “You’re Welcome” in the ear of Adam Knite.}

{''Back in the Saddle Again'' hits the speakers as the fans have a mixed reaction. Davey Ortega comes from the back and stand on the entrance way looking to the ring, then eying both sides of the crowed. He walks down the ring with confidence, making his way up the stairs to the apron, he walks to the middle of the apron and turns to acknowledge the fans, raising his hand for a photo opportunity before he gets into the ring and waits.}

Eric Hardy: Davey Ortega in the house tonight...

Willy Carter: But he has a huge challenge ahead of him....

Dave Holland: I'm sure Davey can handle it...

{Absolute Zero by Stone Sour starts to blare of there the PA as Markus E. Reeves makes his way onto the stage. Boos rain down from the crowd as Markus starts to walk down the ramp. He gets down to the ring and jumps up onto the apron of the ring and swings one leg over the top rope before swing the second leg over. He awaits the start of the match.

Amber Ashe: Now in the ring. Standing 7 feet tall and weighing 315 pounds. Markus E. Reeves}

Dave Holland: Everytime I see Markus Reeves I can't beleive how huge he is...

Eric Hardy: He's a monster.

Willy Carter: He's gonna rip Davey Ortega apart.

{The bell rings signalling the match to start, Ortega bounces on the balls of his feet Ortega straight away attacks the legs of reeves with low kicks to the thigh, After a few stiff shots Ortega runs to the ropes and leaps up for a crossbody. Reeves catches Ortega and slams him down. Reeves gets to his feet and circles around ortega showing absolute disdain. Ortega rolls away from Reeves and gets to his feet before attacking the big man, Reeves just swats Ortega away and laughs.}

Eric Hardy: Markus Reeves is a huge man....

Dave Holland: And Ortega is showing no fear...

Willy Carter: But he's gonna get squashed...

{Ortega runs at Reeves and goes for a spinning wheel kick, Reeves catches Ortega and slams him across his knee. Ortega rolls around the mat in pain as Reeves waits for Ortega to get back up. Davey pulls himself up and Markus runs forward going for a big boot, Davey ducks under it causing Markus to crotch himself on the top rope. Ortega runs forward and kicks the top rope before Reeves can move causing reeves to hold his twig and giggleberries in pain}

Eric Hardy: That was resourceful

Dave Holland: And slightly illegal

Willy Carter: That was a low blow!

{Ortega gets onto the rpon and springboards back into the ring hitting a dropkick sending the big man down. Ortega gets to his feet and fires up, Reeves gets up to his knees and Ortega runs front flipping over Markus with a neckbreaker he goes for the pin 1....2....Markus kicks out and throws Ortega off him. Markus gets to his feet as Ortega runs up and goes for a jumping ddt. Reeves catches Ortega and slams him down with a spinebuster.}

Willy Carter: What a huge slam!

Eric Hardy: Reeves showing his amazing strength.

{Reeves points to Ortega and calls for the triple powerbomb. He kicks Ortega in the stomach and sets him up, as reeves lifts Ortega Davey rolls over the back of markus rolling him up 1....2....3}

Eric Hardy: ORTEGA WINS!

Willy Carter: Miracles do happen...

Dave Hollands: Ortega is avery experianced veteran of NCW this isn't a surprise to me...

{We cut backstage to find Dexter Davis walking backstage holding his X title over his shoulder, he turns a corner and stops staring ahead as the camera pans around to find Alex Jones standing in front of him.}

Dexter Davis: Alex how you doin man?....

{Alex smirks moving his hair from his face}

Dexter Davis: You know last week, I heard that little challenge you threw out, look man I'm down for whatever but you know....good luck bro....

{Dexter outstretches his hand, Alex looks down and laughs before looking Dexter in the facs.}

Alex Jones: That belt....next time we meet...comes home with me...."

{Alex just turns and walks away leaving Dexter alone shaking his head}

{The lights dim down as the intro of "Standing on the Edge" by The Browning begins to fill the arena.}

"Standing on the edge!"

{Pyro rains down from the ceiling as Freya Davis pops out from the back. She begins to throw her arms in the air as the crowd gets pumped up. Freya begins to walk to the ring slapping hands along the way as Dexter accompanies her. Once Freya gets to the ringside area, she keeps walking around the ring slapping more hands telling people to get on their feet. Everyone responds with cheers as Freya goes ahead and slides into the ring. She climbs the nearest turnbuckle before raising her arms for a final time. Freya backflips off and begins to loosen up as the music fades.}

Eric Hardy: Starlet's champion Freya Davis is still riding high after her win over Jenny Williams at Breaking Away.

Willy Carter: Jenny was robbed.

Dave Holland: No, she wasn't.

Willy Carter: Yes, she was.

Dave Holland: No, she wasn't.

Willy Carter: Yes, she was.

Dave Holland: No, she wasn't.

Willy Carter: Yes, she was.

Eric Hardy: GUYS!

{"Face to Face" by Siousie & the Banshees starts from the PA system as Mercedes appears on the entranceway, hand on waist.

Amber Ashe: About to enter the ring, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, weighing 135 pounds...MERCEEEEEDEEEES VAAAARGAAAAS!

{Cheers, boos and catcalls soon greet her. Oblivious and yet satisfied with their reaction for several seconds, she flips her long hair, then makes her way to the ring. As she goes up the steps and walks along the ring apron, she straddles the top rope, facing the crowd before she walks the rest of the apron and climbs to the turnbuckle, then turns her head back as the camera shows her determined expression-perhaps a message that her opponent will be in for a tough fight}

{The harsh sounds of the guitar opening to "You be Tails, I'll be Sonic", by A Day to Remember hits the PA as pink lights flicker on and off.}

"I'M A MESS!..."

{Megan saunters out as the screams echo throughout the arena. She stands on the stage for a moment, staring out into the crowd before making her way down to ringside, ignoring every cat call, boo and insult. She slides into the ring, and shoots up to her knees, rubbing her hands through her body as she stands in a seductive wiggle before telling everybody to **** off with an inappropriate gesture as she heads up a turnbuckle and gives the audience a sultry look. Jumping down she stretches her legs and lies in wait.}


Eric Hardy: The Lovely Megan Sanderson.

Willy Carter: Lovely is one word. Another is -

Dave Holland: Hey, it's a family show!


{“Her Portrait in Black” blares over the arena loudspeakers as Rose comes out of the curtain and starts her slow methodical walk to the ring. When she reaches the ring she steps on the ring apron and with her back to the ropes does a rope assisted twirl over the ropes and then goes to her knees and lets out of the scream as she leans further back }

"I hate you for the sacrifices you made for me.
I hate you for every time you ever bled for me.
I hate you for the way you smile when you look at me.
I hate you for never taking control of me.
I hate you for always saving me from myself.
I hate you for always choosing me and not someone else.
I hate you for always pulling me back from the edge.
I hate you for every kind word you ever said..."

"Blood" By in this moment starts slowly before erupting into the song. Pink strobe lights shine up the entrance as we see a female shaped sillouette. Shelly Taylor-Jones makes her way out onto the stage and then down the ramp, her long blonde and brown streaked hair flowing behind her, she slides under the bottom rope and pushes up to her knees.}

Eric Hardy: These teams are so odd. But it is nice to see Shelly in the ring again.

{All of a sudden “Stronger” by 30 Seconds To Mars starts playing all over the Pa system. Two lights are pointed at the entrance way. Crystal Emerges through the curtains and is greeted by multiple pyros that start shooting off one by one. The crowd roars at her with a loud ovation of cheers and she slowly makes her way out walking down the aisle. Crystal cracks a grin as her photographers line up to take a picture of her but she turns her attention to the fans slapping their hands as she makes her way to the ring. She finally makes it to the ring and places one foot on the apron and stretches the other one on the apron as well. She does a split to enter the ring and she finally makes it to her feet. She smiles bouncing around a bit.}


Eric Hardy: And this one is just about to get under way.

{Freya and Vargas step out to the apron in one corner, while Crystal and Shelly stand at the opposite corner. Inside the ring, Megan and Rose circle each other. They go in and lock up in a collar and elbow tie up. Megan reaches over and pulls Rose by the hair into the Side Headlock. She cranks it in, while Rose moves Her arms around wildly to try and escape. Megan jumps up and down on the mat while increasing the pressure around the neck. The force causes Rose to drop down to one knee, and the weakened Rose throws a couple of shots to the ribs that have little effect. She works Her way up to both feet again, and She forces Megan towards the ropes. No real progress seems to be made by either man as they're stuck at the ropes, so Johnny Lei calls for a break. Megan lets Rose go, and Rose takes a couple of steps back. Megan grins looking at the seemingly aggravated Rose. Megan looks to the fans behind her that are booing, and She raises Her evil finger of doom for the front row audience. When Megan turns Her head back to Rose, She meets a wicked Haymaker to the face from Rose. Two more stiff shots to the face before an Irish Whip across the ring to the opposite ropes. Rose takes a step forward before leaping up and nailing Megan in the head with a Leg Lariat that takes the Straight Shooter off Her feet. Megan rolls across the ring and holds Her jaw as She gets back to Her feet at one of the neutral corners. Rose comes towards Megan with hands locked above Her head in the double Axehandle position, but Megan throws out a right boot that connects with the midsection. Rose's arms falls to Her side upon impact, and Megan lays in a stiff chop to the chest. Then another. Then another. Then another. By now, Megan has backed Rose all the way across the ring to the opposite neutral corner. Megan grabs Rose's fishnet shirt by the collar and ripes it down, tearing the shirt in half. Megan pulls back before laying in another sickening chop to the exposed chest of David. Then another. Then another. Jason Jenkins comes up and calls for a break, Megan having had Rose trapped in the corner for well past the legal count. Megan screams something in Johnny's face before going back to Rose, who immediately throws up a right foot to strike with a kick to the gut. Megan takes a step back before dropping to Her knees. Rose boosts herself up to the middle turnbuckle with Megan, still down on both knees, right in front of her. Rose jumps off out of the corner, flipping herself over and grabbing Megan's head along the way, snapping Jason back with a devastating Neckbreaker. Rose crawls over to Megan and hooks the inside leg. 1...2.. Megan kicks out after a clean two-count.}

Eric Hardy: Both Rose and Megan are really going at it.

Dave Holland: I think it's a trust thing now. I don't think Megan trusts Vargas, and I'm damn sure she doesn't trust Freya.

{Rose gets up and goes over to her corner, tagging in Shelly Taylor-Jones to a pop from the crowd. Shelly approaches Megan, who is on Her hands and knees getting up. A couple of stomps to the back by Shelly, and Megan rolls over onto Her back on the mat. Shelly drops a solid fist to the place where Megan's heart is supposed to be located. Shelly then makes the lateral press on Megan, gaining only a two-count. Shelly brings Megan up to Her feet, laying in a fist to the head and an elbow to the back of the neck where She can. Then there's a pull of the head under the arm of Brian, and Shelly throws the arm of Megan over behind Her head. In an instant, Megan is flipped over on the canvas with an incredibly quick Snap Suplex. Shelly brings Megan up to Her feet again, still holding her hooked. She tries lifting for another, but Megan blocks it. That's when Megan lifts Shelly up and instantly delivers a Snap Suplex of Her own! Megan now holds on, lifting Shelly up. Her attempts at another are blocked, and Shelly counters with yet another Snap Suplex! STILL, Shelly holds onto it by lifting Megan up again. Megan again blocks the Suplex, lifts Shelly up in the air, but then takes a step forward and lets Shelly go, letting STJ fall rib-first on the top rope! Shelly stays there, hanging over the ropes, and Megan slaps Freya hard on the shoulder, tagging her in. Quick ring location check: the ringpost in the heel corner has two men on either side of it on the apron. Vargas on one. Freya on the other. On Vargas's side is where Shelly is hanging over the ropes, with Her head hanging over the canvas. So Freya is on the side of the ring perpendicular to the side where Shelly hangs over the ropes. Clear? Good. Still on the apron, Freya pulls back on the ropes for momentum, then throws herself over the ropes and into the ring, landing on the back of Shelly's head and ultimately causing Shelly to flip over and down on Her back on the mat with a nice Springboard Legdrop. And after too much detail for one wrestling move, Freya has covered Shelly. 1...2... kickout by STJ. Freya curses Johnny, who doesn't bother arguing with Freya. Shelly is lifted back up to Her feet by Freya, who grabs her by the left arm. Freya goes for the Irish Whip, but Shelly holds on and sends Freya across the ring. All the force thrown into the whip causes Shelly to drop down to Her knees, and She holds the back of Her head, still hurting from the powerful Legdrop that Chris delivered. Now coming back off the ropes, Freya makes a leap before smacking Shelly in the face with Her boot with a modified Japanese Shining Wizard. Freya gets up and heads to Her corner, tagging in Mercedes Vargas. Vargas enters the ring as Shelly is crawling over to the face corner, holding the back of Her head. Vargas just looks on while STJ heads to Her corner. Just before Shelly can slap the extended hands of either Rose or Crystal, Vargas grabs STJ by the trunks and drags her back to the center of the ring, drawing mad boos. Vargas brings Shelly up to Her feet, only to bring Her head between Her legs in the Piledriver position. Vargas lifts Shelly up, then SLAMS her with Her PILEDRIVER! Vargas gets up and looks out at the booing audience, not saying a word. Mercedes stands there looking down at the motionless body of Shelly. She simply reaches down and grabs Shelly by the trunks and tosses her over to the face corner before pointing at Crystal Williams on the apron and mouthing the word "You." Crystal reaches over the ropes and slaps the shoulder of Shelly, who is helped back out onto the apron by Rose. A big pop is heard when Crystal steps into the ring.}

Eric Hardy: And here comes Crystal!

Willy Carter: Now this match is really going to get good.

{Both Crystal and Vargas eye one another up for a long time, the crowd coming alive. Vargas lunges forward at Crystal, who ducks around behind Vargas in a waistlock. Vargas throws Her arms out to the sides to try and grab Crystal, who spins Vargas around so that the two are facing one another. Crystal then leaps up into the air, Dropkicking Vargas in the chest and sending her back against the ropes. Vargas again comes forward with the Clothesline attempt, but Crystal jumps up and wraps around the arm for a Crucifix. However, She can't pull Vargas down. Cue Rose, who steps through the ropes and hits Her patended Leg Lariat to the face of Vargas, causing enough momentum for Crystal to bring Vargas down into the Crucifix. Lei drops down to check the shoulders. 1...2...kickout! Both women are back up to their feet, and Crystal charges at Vargas. She flies with a Lou Thez press, but Vargas catches her! Vargas maneuevers Crystal before falling back with Crystal, causing Crystal to fall throat first on the top rope behind her with a Stun Gun. Crystal pops back up, then stumbles backward holding Her throat. She walks right into the grip of Vargas, who traps Crystal in a Full Nelson position before throwing her up and slamming her down. Vargas gets down to cover Crystal. One, two, right shoulder up by Crystal. Vargas grabs Crystal by the hair and starts lifting her up to Her feet, but Crystal fires back with some fists to the midsection. Eventually, Crystal is up to Her feet as well. She grabs Vargas by the arm for the Irish Whip, but Vargas holds on and brings Crystal right into a boot to the midsection that causes the Gothic Grappler to double over. Vargas brings Crystal's head between Her legs in the Piledriver position, causing the crowd to start making some noise. But when Vargas lifts Crystal up onto Her shoulders, She's flipped over and sent across the ring after an amazing Hurricanrana counter! Vargas is sent all the way over to the her corner, where Megan slaps the shoulder of Mercedes. Lei signals the tag, and Megan enters the ring. Megan approaches Crystal, holding Her arms out for the lock-up, but Crystal delivers a kick to the gut that stuns her. Crystal grabs the left arm and shoots Megan into the ropes. With Megan coming back, Crystal jumps up for the Lou Thesz Press ... but is caught...Again... by Megan ... turned around ... and SLAMMED with a Spinebuster! Megan rolls through, hooking the inside leg. 1....2... - barely got the shoulder up! Johnny stands up and wipes the sweat from Her forehead, exaggerating the seriousness of the situation and causing a few laughs from the anxious crowd. Megan holds three fingers up in Johnny's face and screams at her for mocking the close pinfall. Lei shrugs, which infuriates Megan further. This allows Crystal enough time to crawl up behind Megan and School Boy her! 1...2...kickout! The crowd "Ohh"s at the closeness on that one, and Megan is not too happy. She's again screaming in Johnny's face, this time for "distracting" her. Crystal again attacks Megan, this time with a waistlock from behind. Crystal lifts Megan up for the German, but Megan reverses the momentum and rolls Crystal through into an Ankle Lock submission! Crystal tries frantically to get out of the hold, managing to successfully turn herself over onto Her back on the mat. Megan still grabs ahold of the leg, moving it so that it's locked under Her arm. She tries turning Crystal over in the STF, but Crystal brings the other foot up and kicks Megan right in the kisser. Megan stumbles backward a few steps, but shakes it off and goes back for Crystal, who extends Her legs to wrap around the foot of Megan and bring her down face first into the middle turnbuckle behind Crystal! Megan slowly is up to Her feet, grabbing onto the ropes. Crystal then comes running behind her, then jumps OVER the ropes, grabbing the head of Megan in mid-air, and then brings Megan down throat first on the top rope as Crystal falls outside to the arena floor! Big pop for the high risk offense. Crystal gets back onto the apron and walks near a neutral turnbuckle corner thing. Crystal then leaps up onto the turnbuckle, so that She's facing the crowd and seated on the top. She then falls right back and down onto Megan with a Split Legged Moonsault! She hooks the inside leg! 1...2.. - kickout! Crystal gets up and can't believe it wasn't three, but She doesn't argue with Johnny. She lifts Megan up, and She sends her into the ropes. Megan manages to duck the Clothesline attempt by Crystal, and She hits the ropes one more time. And now coming back, both men leap for a Cross Body at the SAME TIME and collide in mid-air! Both collapse down on the canvas, exhausted.}

Eric Hardy: Both ladies are down!

Dave Holland: Anyone's ball game here.

Willy Carter: C'mon Crystal!

{ Lei starts His ten count, making sure to shout the numbers loudly. By four, they're crawling. By six, they're nearing. By eight, Megan gets slapped on the head by Freya initiating a tag. And by nine, Crystal has tagged in Rose! Rose floors Freya with a Clothesline. She's back up, only to get floored one more time by Rose. Third time around, Rose Back Body Drops Freya across the ring! Vargas steps through the ropes and runs across after Rose, only to get Her Clothesline ducked. Vargas runs right across to the face corner, where Shelly is waiting to hit her with a trademark STJ Dropkick to the chin! Vargas stumbles right into a now standing Crystal, who throws Vargas over the ropes and out to the floor. Crystal steps through the ropes to follow her on the outside, while Rose and Shelly lift Freya up to Her feet. They throw Freya into the ropes, and they lock hands. They go for a Double Clothesline, but Freya ducks under it and hits the ropes one more time. Freya takes flight this time coming back, throwing out both arms for a Double Clothesline of Her own, but She gets caught, thrown up, and Flapjacked by both Rose and STJ! That's when a celebrating Shelly gets taken off guard, being Clotheslined over the ropes and out onto the concrete floor by Megan. After that happens, Megan has rolled out of the ring and grabbed Freya's World Starlet's Championship. She rolls back into the ring with the belt and waits behind Rose, who is looking down Shelly. Freya stands snatches the Title out of Megan's hands, causing a pop from the fans. Freya screams in Megan's face for the action, and they begin to argue. Freya throws the belt down and shoves Megan before heading back to Rose who kicks Freya in the gut. Megan picks up the belt and stands ready to blast someone, and she charges, looking to hit Freya, but she turns and ducks and Megan hits Rose! This whole time Johnny Lei was distracted by Vargas and Crystal brawling and STJ trying to warn him about Megan. Shelly charges into the ring and tackles Megan down, but that allows Freya to pin Rose 1....2...3!}


Eric Hardy: And somehow, Freya worked enough with Vargas and Megan to win the match.

Dave Holland: Miracles will never cease.

{"Standing on the edge" plays as Freya stands. She walks over to the Starlet's title laying on the mat and picks it up before quickly exiting the ring. }

Eric Hardy: And Freya obviously wants to get out of her as quickly as possible.

{Freya stands on the entrance way holding up her title as Megan smiles from the ring, she mouths "mine" to Freya in regards to the title. }

{To the back, where the long-missing Emma Danielson is stalking the halls. Clearly, the therapy she was ordered into isn't working, as the expression on her face is positively livid. She mutters under her breath as she walks along intently.}

Emma Danielson: Alright, where the hell is he...

{Emma spots Callie Jacobsen in the halls, carrying a cup of coffee, she seems rather flustered. Emma walks over to Callie, flashing a friendly smile, surprisingly so given her prior demeanor.}

Emma Danielson: Hey there, Callie. You know where your boss is?

Callie Jacobsen: No, but was just heading back to the office to bring Mrs Conway her coffee, maybe she can help....she is the Personal Assistant and I'm just the secretary as she keeps reminding me...

Emma Danielson: Sounds great. Mind leading the way?

{Callie simply nods, and smiles as she leads Emma to the office, she knocks on the door.}

Kathleen Conway: Come in...

{Callie enters the office, first Kathy doesn't look up as she is on the phone and simply gestures for Callie to set down the coffee on the desk. Emma steps through, clearing her throat. Kathy looks up anf her eyes go wide at the sight of Emma. Emma grins a sharklike grin at the startled Conway.}

Kathleen Conway: Listen sweetie, Mommy's going to have to go now, be good for Auntie Tiffany. I love you...

{Emma patiently waits for Kat to hang up the phone. Kathy sets the phone down with a smile, which seems to fade at the sight of Emma. Emma leans on the desk, smiling at Kathy with absolutely zero humor.}

Emma Danielson: Hiya Kathy. Let's have a talk, can we?

Kathleen Conway: What can I do for you Miss Danielson?

Emma Danielson: Oh, we could talk about maybe getting me a match next week.

Kathleen Conway: A match? I guess I can do that...you can face Mercedes Vargas...

Emma Danielson: What, so you can exercise your petty grudges again? I appreciate the vote of confidence in my abilities, but I'm also looking to get a little more consistent booking. Woman's gotta eat, ya know.

Kathleen Conway: I really don't think you need to worry eating Emma, but if you're not willing to play ball with me here, you can stay unbooked for a few more weeks until I'm satisfied wiith your therapy progress....

{Emma narrows her eyes, biting back venomous threats. Suddenly, the anger dissipates, and a sly grin spreads across her face.}

Emma Danielson: I'll take the match.

Kathleen Conway: See, you can make a good decision when you try...

{Emma smiles at Kathy again, once more with zero warmth.}

Emma Danielson: Yeah, I can. Have a fun night, Kathy.

{Kathy nods as she picks up her coffee and settles back in her chair, she waves Emma away, but Callie speaks up.}

Callie Jacobsen: Excuse me, Mrs Conway, but don't you think we should wait for Ja - Mr Conway to approve the booking?

{Kathy almost spits out her coffee at the insolence as she narrowe her eyes at Callie. Emma stifles a grin at Kathy's reaction, leaning back and watching the two play out.}

Kathleen Conway: Listen honey, yoi might need Mr Conway' to hold your hand on the tough decisions, but I am his wife and that means I've earned his trust, besides I'm the Personal Assistant, you're just the secretary...you are a convienence, I am a necessity

{Emma cocks an eyebrow at this, shaking her head. Callie wants to respond, but bites her tongue, and as the tension hangs in the air, The Ace enters the office and his grin only widens at the sight of three women in his office. He adjusts his cuffs, tie, the title over his shoulder and runs a hand through his hair. Emma looks to the Ace, smile widening.}

Emma Danielson: Mr. Conway...or can I call you Jake? Just the man I wanted to see.

{The Ace checks his pulse on his wrist.}

The Ace: What do you know, you CAN get to Heaven without dying. Anything I can do to return the favour and make your day that little bit brighter, Emma...

{Emma smirks and feigns flattery at the comment.}

Emma Danielson: Aww, you're so sweet. Now, your lovely wife proposed a match for me, and your secretary suggested we run it by you first.

{Kathy rolls her eyes at this and Callie seems to share Kathy's opinion for once. In her eyes Emma was flirting with The Ace. Oh the nerve of that ogre. He couldn't possibly be interested in her, not when there were prettier options at his table. Emma grins at the dual expressions of disdain, clearly reveling in it. The Ace turns to Callie.}

The Ace: How considerate. I knew it was a dreat decision to hire you, stick with me and you have a bright future young lady...

{Callie smiles, mustering all her self-control not to squeal at the acknowledgment, instead she just smiles.}

Callie Jacobsen: Just doing my job, Mr. Conway...

Emma Danielson: So, Kathy suggested I take on Mercedes Vargas next week. What do you think of that?

The Ace: It sounds like it could be a winner to me...

{This time it's Kathy's turn to revel in her husband's approval as she smiles at him, clearly relishing the small victory and shooting Emma and Callie a look of "I told you so." Emma just smiles, nodding. She got what she wanted.}

The Ace: Unless you feel you deserve better, a greater test for yourself to make up for the weeks of inactivity...for which I personally apologise by the way, office politics being what they are...

{Emma shakes her head, putting her hands up.}

Emma Danielson: Thank you very much, Jake. It means a lot that you're giving me this shot. I'll take any opportunity I can at the moment. Maybe after a few more victories, then we'll start talking big. You're the boss, though, so if you've got ideas I'm more than willing to...discuss them.

{This shocks Kathy, who in a move to reassert herself, spits out her coffee and throws the cup at Callie who ducks.}

Kathleen Conway: This coffee is terrible!

{Emma raises an eyebrow.}

Emma Danielson: Watch your aim there, Kathy. Might hit someone. Well, I won't keep you, Jake. Have a good night. I know I will.

{She winks at him, walking out of the office with a Cheshire cat grin on her face. As Emma leaves, The Ace turns to his wife.}

The Ace: Maybe you could do with a little therapy yourself, honey...

{The Ace turns to Callie.}

The Ace: Are you alright?

{Callie nods, smiling shyly at her employer.}

Callie Jacobsen: Y-yeah, I'm fine. Thank you.

The Ace: I apologise for my wife, you know what, have the rest of the night off, you've earned it...and don't worry about the coffee, I've tasted it and I can hardly hold you responsible for the dirt they pass off in this arena...

{The Ace then turns to his wife.}

The Ace: And you need to tell me what that was really about…

{Before we can hear Kathy’s explanation, the scene ends and we go back to ringside.}

Mercedes Vargas: Well, if you want my honest opinion, and I’m sure you would, Megan and Freya would be the LAST people I would ever team up with.

{She turns on her heel and walked off in the direction of her locker room, opens the door and grabs her rolling tote bag with one hand. She now heads towards the parking lot.}

Cameraperson: Well, if you had a problem with it, I’m sure you know where Kelly Fox’s office is.

Mercedes Vargas: Oh, believe me, I know where to find her, but there’s a perfectly good reason why I’m not in her office and getting in her face.

{Mercedes still hasn’t lowered her voice so the few bystanders heard what she said as she begins backing away.}

Mercedes Vargas: It’s not her problem. And as far as this match is concerned, there’s an easy way to solve this, too.

Cameraperson: Mercedes, where are you going?

Mercedes Vargas: As if you care. As if anybody cares.

{She starts to leave but stops and turns around.}

Mercedes Vargas: You heard what our reigning Starlets Champion said about me last week. Nobody likes me, nobody wants me here. So, you know what? I’m taking Freya’s advice tonight. . I'm taking a personal vacay! I’m not staying around for this because I’M BETTER THAN THIS! I’m outta here. I’M OUTTA HERE! NOBODY WANTS ME HERE, THAT’S FINE! {glances back at the camera} THAT’S FINE!

{Mercedes storms off down the parking lot area. She doesn’t even turn back as the cameraperson shouts after her.}

Cameraperson: But what about Crystal Hilton calling you out for a match at Mind Games? Are you going to accept her challenge?

Mercedes Vargas: Please. That's a clown question. I’ve been fighting Crystal Hilton for the better part of a year. There’s nothing in it for me, and for her, well, she’s just looking for her next big conquest. She hasn't done anything to earn a match with me.

{A car attendant pulls up with Mercedes’ convertible as he vaults out of the driver’s seat and opens the door for Mercedes as she steps into her car. She gives the cameraperson a withered look.}

Mercedes Vargas: Besides, I’m booked that night.

{And with that, the cameraperson helpless watch Mercedes takes off from the parking lot in a squeal of tires out of FedEx Forum and our scene transitions back to ringside for our next match.}

{Live To Rise by Soundgarden starts blasting over the PA system. Pyros are going off on the stage all over the place. Joe Everyman then comes out onto the stage. Joe walks down the ramp while holding their arms up towards the crowd, who has a mixed but mostly face reaction. Joe then comes to the end of the ramp and does a standing jump onto the apron. Joe then climbs into the ring through the ropes and looks around in the crowd and hold up his arm. Then loud blue pyros shoot from the ring posts. Joe then stands and waits.}

Eric Hardy: Joe Everyman looks intense, ready for this matchup.

{Rage in my heart crossing the forest riding my black horse
Across the valley along the river where the hot blood flows.
Over the lakes and over the hills I follow the call of the wind uphold the legend and for my princess I will fight and win

"Lord of the Thunder" by Rhapsody hits the speakers as Curtis D. Kanyon emerges from the curtain. He has a sledgehammer slung over his shoulder.

Holy flame burn again for eternity burn my heart to win.
The holy war is awaiting another fiery king

Curtis pounds his chest with his fists then raises the hammer in the air. He walks down to the ring, nodding to the fans. He grabs a sign from a fan in support of his cause, and shows it to the camera!

Lord of the thunder please be my guide
before and after my last ride
I'll be your soldier serving the light
riding forever alive and proud

Curtis then climbs into the ring and goes to the turnbuckles. He climbs a turnbuckle and pounds his chest, then screams "The archangel is here! Prepare for the glory of battle!" He points to the crowd with his hammer, then hoists it straight up into the air and yells "BANG!" He then gets down and awaits the match to start.}

Eric Hardy: And here we go!

{ The bell sounds and CDK and Joe begin exchanging punches almost instantly. Joe. Kanyon. Joe. Kanyon. Joe. Kanyon. Joe. Kanyon. Kanyon gains the advantage once Joe's punches slow down in frequency. Kanyon shoots him into the ropes and fires off a high back bodydrop. Joe pops to his feet and is leveled with a clothesline. Joe stands and backs to the ropes. Kanyon instantly clotheslines him over and to the floor. Kanyon paces around the ring, and the crowd is full of happiness and joy. Joe Everyman gets to one knee outside and shoots an icy glare at CDK in the ring. He holds his jaw, then rolls inside. Once he stands, he immediately locks up with him in the middle of the ring. The two men jockey for position, with the stronger Kanyon slowly but surely forcing Joe back toward a corner. However, before he gets there, Joe uses a leverage move to spin around and trap Kanyon in the corner. The official steps in to force the clean break, allowing Joe to fire a kick to the gut of CDK. Joe grabs Kanyon's head and pulls it into a sharp European Uppercut! Kanyon falls back to the corner and takes a seat on the middle turnbuckle. Joe shoots a boot into Kanyon's midsection, the stands him up and unleashes a knife edge chop. "WHOO," shouts the crowd. Another chop, another "WHOO" from the crowd. Joe sets Kanyon up for the whip. He shoots him to the opposite corner, waiting for Kanyon to hit back-first. Kanyon does so and leans back on the top turnbuckle. Joe charges at him, but Kanyon ducks a lariat and wraps around into a rear waistlock. Before Joe can react, he is tossed halfway across the rign with a devastating Released German Suplex that lands him on the back of his neck. Joe rolls onto his stomach, then stands holding the base of his neck. Kanyon steamrolls him with a clothesline, then drops an elbow across his chest. The cover, the count 1...2...kickout. Kanyon stands and lifts Joe to his feet. Kanyon backs Joe to a corner and attempts to whip him in. Joe reverses and fires him in. Kanyon charges full-speed and connects sternum-first with the turnbuckles, falling straight back and clutching his chest!}

Eric Hardy: And the point of attack has been located!

{Joe wastes no time, laying in a series of stomps to the ribs of Kanyon. Kanyon turns to his stomach, so Joe measures him up and punts him in the side. Kanyon crawls to the ropes and drapes his throat and arms over the middle rope. Joe drives his right knee into the back of Kanyon's neck, strangling him across the ropes. Joe grabs the top rope to keep his balance, placing all his weight on Kanyon. Finally, he runs and bounces off the opposite ropes. He leaps up and crashes his weight down across the upper back of Kanyon. Kanyon rolls backward and gets to both knees. Joe walks to him, hooks his head from the side, and drives a series of five right fists down into the bridge of Kanyon's nose with pinpoint precision. He lets go of the head, causing Kanyon to fall to his hands and knees. Joe takes a few steps back, brings his right leg up behind him, then runs and delivers a punt to the gut. Kanyon pops to his feet, staggering around in a doubled over position. Kanyon staggers to Joe, who sidehooks him, lifts him, carries him around the ring, and finally delivers the side Backbreaker. He covers, being sure yo hook the leg. 1...2... another kickout. Joe stands and grabs a handful of Kanyon's hair, ignoring the warning of Norman Dafoe. He yanks Kanyon into the air and slams him viciously to the mat. Joe smiles at the capacity crowd. He waits for Kanyon to expend energy pulling himself up at the ropes, then rushes him and clubs him in the back with a forearm shot. Kanyon staggers to a corner, leans back against it, and kicks Joe in the gut. He fires another one, then another. He delivers a jaw-jacking right uppercut, but Joe quickly chops him to end that rally. Joe climbs to the middle rope, standing directly above Kanyon's face. He raises a balled right fist into the air, then begins hammering away on Kanyon. Before he even reaches a third punch, however, Kanyon hooks him for a Powerbomb! He staggers forward, but Joe, shockingly enough, rolls through the powerbomb attempt with a Hurricanrana! Joe then rolls backward across Kanyon's prone body and stands at Kanyon's feet, hooking the left leg! The fans stand in anticipation for the Streets of Gold, but Kanyon instantly reaches the ropes, drawing some cheers. Joe releases his grip, then waits for Kanyon to stand. Kanyon clutches his ribs a bit, then circles Joe. The two men lock up, and Joe instantly drives a right knee into Kanyon's stomach. He sidehooks him, then delivers a snapping Gutwrench Suplex, floating right over into a cover. 1...2... kickout! Joe turns Kanyon onto his side, grabs the available arm and leg, and begins pulling up on them while driving his right knee into Kanyon's ribs.}

Eric Hardy: Joe Everyman is relentless.

Dave Holland: Joe needs to do something to improve his luck recently.

Willy Carter: By recently, You mean for the last two years?

{ The fans begin clapping their hands in sync, trying to revive Kanyon from his current predicament. Joe looks out at the crowd, shaking his head from left to right. Kanyon somehow manages to break his arm and leg free! Joe stands and kicks Kanyon before he can stand. He lifts Kanyon to his feet and whips him to the ropes. Joe ducks his head down, looking for a back body drop. However, Kanyon counters by leaping into the air and hooking Kanyon's head on the way down, planting him with a Running DDT! Both men are down. ONE ... TWO ... THREE ... FOUR ... FIVE ... SIX ... SEVEN ... Joe and Kanyon both stand, and Joe again takes the advantage with a brutal chop to the chest. THis time, however, Kanyon fires back with one of his own! Chop from Joe! Chop from Kanyon! Chop from Joe! Chop from Kanyon! The crowd is really into it, now. Chop from Joe! Chop from -- no, Joe thumbs Kanyon in the eye. Joe hooks him and delivers a lightning-quick Snap Suplex that draws an "oh" from the crowd. Joe lifts Kanyon to his feet and crosses his arms across his chest Kanyon-Hall style, signalling for the end. He whips Kanyon toward the opposite ropes, but Kanyon hangs on and pulls Joe into a Kanyon Cutter! Both men are again down. }

Eric Hardy: Kanyon Cutter out of nowhere!

Willy Carter: Isn't that move always out of nowhere?

{ONE ... TWO ... THREE ... FOUR ... FIVE ... SIX ... SEVEN ... EIGHT ... NINE ... Kanyon is up first! The fans cheer as he waits for Joe to stand. Once Joe does so, Kanyon charges and clotheslines him down to the mat! Cover! 1...2...KICKOUT! Kanyon is pumped. He lifts Joe to his feet and nails him with an elbow strike to the face that staggers him. Kanyon whips Joe to the ropes and catches him coming back with a Sleeper Hold! The fans cheer, but not for long. Joe shifts to the side and fires another knee into Kanyon's ribs. Kanyon doubles over and Joe then connects with the Twist of Fate. He covers 1...2...3!}

Eric Hardy: And Joe Everyman picks up a big win!

Willy Carter: Big whoop. He still sucks.

Dave Holland: I'm...I'm gonna have to agree with Willy on this one.

{The fans pop for the finish and "Live to Rise" plays yet again. Joe stands and smirks to the crowd raises his hand in victory. Kanyon rolls outside the ring clutching his ribs. Cut to commercial.}

Eric Hardy: Well it's time, it's time for our Main Event!

Willy Carter: Oh I can't wait to see our World Champion in action.

Eric Hardy: This will be a tag team match, with Alex Jones and Xander Famularo in one corner, and World Champion Roberto Verona and Mike Laszlo.

Dave Holland: Mike could be the man who faces Verona at Mind Games, given the ending of Breaking Away.

Willy Carter: Pfft, Verona alrighty beat him. Laszlo needs to go back to the bottom and let someone else lose to our Champ.

BREAK!

Blue smock nancy's "unsettling differences" blasts out as a spotlight shines on the entranceway. Alex Jones emerges wearong a black shirt with "prince of perfection" written on it. He walks down to the ring and leaps onto the apron sliding across it before getting into the ring and leaping onto the second rope instigating the crowd.}

Eric Hardy: Here comes Alex Jones, a man who has been focused these past few weeks.

Dave Holland: Alex is ready to claim his spot in nCw, something long over due in my mind.

{Potions by Puscifer begins to play, Xander walks to the ring and awaits his opponent}

Eric Hardy: And here is his partner, Xander Famularo.

Willy Carter: Gib's Baby Boy!

{"The Game" by Disturbed hits the sound system as Mike Laszlo walks out onto the stage, followed by Alexis Caffrey, to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Surveying those who cheer as well as those who boo, a smirk comes over his face as he heads for the ring with a slow confident walk, ignoring the fans along the isle who want to slap his hand.

Amber Ashe: Making his way to the ring, accompanied to the ring by Alexis Caffrey, from Cleveland, Ohio, weighing 237 pounds, MIIIIKE LASZLOOOOO!

Mike slides into the ring under the bottom rope before posing for the crowd who give him another mixed reaction, as Alexis ascends the stairs and enters the ring. Backing into the corner Mike clasps his hands and loosens his wrists waiting for the start of the match.}

Willy Carter: Longest entrance so far, AND we got to see Amber Ashe!

Eric Hardy: Well there is the man who many believe should be the World Champion.

{ The lights in the arena all go out at "King of the World" by Porcelain and the Tramps begins to blare out of the PA system. Spotlights begin to scan the crowd before fixating on a figure at the top of the stage which is revealed to be Roberto Verona, his head bowed towards the floor. As boos being to resonate around the arena Verona raises his head, the NCW World Championship wrapped around his waist, and he begins a slow methodical march down the ramp, the spotlight following him as golden pyro rains down from above on the stage. Verona stares with disgust at the crowd who heckle him as he approaches the ring, but he doesn't react to them. As he reaches the steps he slowly ascends them before walking towards the middle of the ring apron, turning around to look into the crowd one last time before looking up and closing his eyes as he stretches his arms out wide and basks in the abuse. After indulging himself Verona climbs into the ring, raising the NCW World Championship high above his head as he awaits the beginning of the match. }

Willy Carter: There is the World Champion, ad my personal hero. The man has done nothing but great things here.

Eric Hardy: Right up to when he betrayed us all and joined Kelly.

Dave Holland: Being World Champion means staying World Champion. There is no argument that his life has been easier since joining the enemy.

{Xander Famularo stands on the apron, and Alex is in the ring, the only problem seems to be with Verona and Laszlo. They begin to argue over who is going to start the match. Laszlo pushes Verona into the corner, Verona shoots back and shoves Laszlo hard}

Eric Hardy: Uh-Oh, this may turn into a repeat of Breaking Away.

Willy Carter: Don't take that disrespect, Champ!

Dave Holland: Laszlo hates Verona, you almost have to think if Kelly booked this one just to teach Laszlo a lesson.

{Before Laszlo can even respond Alex Jones grabs him in a sleeper hold then drops down with a slam! Verona gets on the apron with a smile on his face and Jones begins to stomp down on Laszlo. Mike begins to get up, even though Alex is giving him stiff shots to his head, Mike is able to counter one and get a good shot on Alex. Mike is back to his feet and Jones comes at him only to be caught by him and slammed down with a spine buster. Miikes gets back to his feet and goes to grab Alex only to be rolled up in a small package! 1..2..NO, Mike is able to get out and both men our on their feet.}

Eric Hardy: Good move there by Alex Jones. He almost had him.

Willy Carter: That would of never worked againt Verona.

{Both men circle one another until they tie up, Mike gets the upper hand and slips behind lifting him up for a Belly to Back suplex but it is not to be as Alex lands on his feet, he then runs up and drives Mikes face to the canvas with a bulldog. He quickly gets to his feet and runs at the opposite side bouncing off the ropes as Mike is able to get to his feet. Alex comes full steam ahead and hits a step up enziguri. Mike goes down but not for long, as Jones is determined to stay on the offensive he picks him up then sends Mike to the corner where Xander looms. Alex comes in with a splash the squishes Lazslo in the corner, he slumps down and Xander is tagged in. Xander starts to pick up Laszlo but he starts to fight back. He delivers blow after blow to Xanders midsection, stunning the Emotionless One so he can recompose for a second, getting steadily on his feet and delivers a kick to the midsection. Mike grabs Xanders head and and arm positioning and hoisting him up for a vertical suplex. he comes down but isn't as quick to his feet.}

Eric Hardy: Mike needs to make a tag.

Dave Holland: He has been there for sometime, but I haven't seen Verona really distraught over his partners predicament

Willy Carter: That's because he doesn't care.

{ Mike is on his feet and heading to his corner, only to be caught by Famularo who gets him in a waist lock and then hits a Release German Suplex! Mike hits the mat hard. Xander walks over to him and gets Mike to his feet, wrapping his hands around his throat and lifts him up in a Choke hold, Xander holds it for a few but he may end up regretting it. Mike gets desperate and rakes the eyes of Famularo forcing him to break the hold. Norman Dafoe begins to warn Laszlo but he kicks Xander in the midsection again, this time driving his head down with a DDT. Mike is on his feet and getting to Verona, he goes to tag but at the last second Verona yanks his hand up, Laszlo tagging wildly, almost losing his bearings. He looks at Verona with fire in his eyes, Verona just smiling that cocky smile. he begins to berate Laszlo then takes his eyes off him for a split second, Laszlo see's this and either out of instinct or just luck he ducks down, grabbing the top rope with him as Xander hits a Big Boot...on Verona! Verona goes to the floor and Laszlo propells himself up with the top rope, hitting a huge European Uppercut that staggers the big man. He then grabs him lifts him up in a vertical suplex, holding until hitting No Mercy! Mike covers. 1..2..3! NO! Jones is able to break it up a second before the final count. Verona has made his way back to the apron and Jones is as well. Mike is up and goes right to Verona.}

Eric Hardy: Oh no, this may end badly.

Willy Carter: For Laszlo, he knows he can't beat Verona.

{Though Mike does't say a word or wait, he simply draws back and slaps Roberto Verona in the face, leaving him shocked and tagged. Laszlo gets on the apron, and Roberto gets in, angry about the absolute disrespect. He decides to do the smart thing and take it out on Xander Famularo. Xander is on his feet, but Roberto hits a swinging neck breaker, Roberto gets up and then gets Xander to his feet sending him to the ropes, Xander bounces off and comes back and leaps onto Verona with a Lou Thesz Press! He strikes at Verona mercilessly and then gets up and goes over and tags in Jones. Jones hops into the ring and runs at Verona who is on his feet...and now down as Jones hits a beautiful dropkick. Both men get back to their feet and tie up. Verona hits a knee to the gut of Jones, doubling him over and then striking his knee, causing Jones to fall to one knee and Verona to ram his knee in Alex's face. Roberto Verona picks him up and kicks him in the midsection, hitting the RiP! He covers, 1..2...3!}

Eric Hardy: That was a match for the ag...

{As Roberto gets to his feet Mike gets into the ring and pulls him in for a face to face. An argument ensues that's short lived as Roberto sucker punches him to the mat. Roberto then lays in some stomps before pacing back and forth and calling for a mic.}

Roberto Verona: Ah, ah, ah now Michael, that temper of yours is going to get the better of you one of these days.

{Mike clutches at his face angrily as he stares at his persistent attacker with murderous rage in his eyes. Verona wags a fingers as he smiles at Laszlo who gradually lifts himself up using the ropes.}

Roberto Verona: Now, I know you and I don’t see eye to eye, I mean how could we when we share a room you’re usually laid flat on your ass, but I am feeling charitable towards you after your performance tonight.

Eric Hardy: Charitable!? Are you kidding me?

Willy Carter: Let the man speak, good God Hardy.

Roberto Verona: You see, Mind Games is only a few weeks away and we are in need of a Main Event which will draw interest, that will cement the legacy of this pay per view in the hiatus year of the Riot. Now, I know you’re desperate to right the perceived wrongs of Breaking Away and I am going to give you an opportunity.

{ The crowd erupt into cheers until Verona raises a finger as if to silence them as Mike listens intently. }

Roberto Verona: However, this time, you’re going to earn it. In the coming week I will set a number of challenges for you, to test if you truly are fit to share the ring with me for a second time and if you impress me, you get your re-match at Mind Games. Next week, you will face a man I have the deepest respect for, a man who has brought back dignity to the National Title. Jake “The Ace” Conway.

{ The crowd begin to boo at Conway’s name as Mike nods along in approval, wincing a little as he clutches his head. }

Roberto Verona: It won’t, however, be just any sort of match, that’d be boring and it wouldn’t tell us anything about the willpower you possess. So, to make thing a little more interesting, you will fight The Ace inside a steel cage. Call it a favour, nobody can get inside to…erode the spirit of competition and you will have no excuses for failure.

Eric Hardy: Credit where it’s due…that is a charitable move.

Willy Carter: See, I told you he was a good man.

Roberto Verona: And before you get any ideas about taking your frustrations out on me, let me duly inform you that as of now, there is a no contact clause in place between you and I, should you violate that agreement you will forfeit any opportunity you may earn at my NCW World Championship and, because I am a fair man, if I violate this agreement in any way you are guaranteed a shot at me at Mind Games in a match of your choosing. You can’t say fairer than that, right?

Eric Hardy: He’s up to something…

Willy Carter: Damn man, you’re so distrustful.

{ Mike nods in agreement and shouts some less than pleasant words at Roberto who holds up a hand to try and calm him down for a moment. }

Roberto Verona: Now, Mike, let me be the first to say that….just because I can’t lay my hands on you, doesn’t mean he can’t!

{ Verona suddenly points down to the ring and, seemingly unnoticed the large figure of Lex Sense has slid inside the ring just behind Mike Laszlo who, turning round to defend himself, is met with an absolutely vicious big boot which plants him to the ground as the crowd begin to pour down abuse on Verona and Sense, the latter continuing to assault Laszlo in the ring as Kelly Fox joins Roberto on the stage. As Mike finally staggers to his feet he is grabbed with such speed he barely has time to respond as Lex hits The Prediction which leaves Mike laid out in the middle of the ring. Verona begins to smile before raising the mic back to his lips. }

Roberto Verona: Let the games begin.

{ With that he tosses the mic to one side and lifts his belt high in the sky before joining Kelly in clapping the work of Lex Sense who simply stands emotionless in the centre of the ring as boos emanate from the disgusted audience whose ire only grows when Lex places his boot atop the fallen body of Mike Laszlo. }

Eric Hardy: I knew it was just too good to be true, that slimy snake has done it again.

Willy Carter: I’m sorry? Did Verona just plant him then? No.

Dave Holland: The World Champion just laid down the gauntlet to Mike Laszlo, what must he face in the coming weeks to earn another shot at that belt? Tune in next week to find out more folks, but from us here, goodnight!
