{Our scene opens up in an unfamiliar location. We head inside a posh New York apartment complex and quickly transition into one of the swanky apartments. Inside we find our hero, Will Washington, standing in the gigantic living area next to his sister. Victoria stands with his arms folded, smiling as Will's eyes trace around the room.}
Tori: "Pretty nice, eh?"
Will: "You really don't feel bad about spending our parents money, do you?"
Tori: "I'm a trust fund baby. Just like you. If you've got it, spend it."
Will: "You know I haven't touched that money in years. I'm my own man now."
Tori: "Yeah. Dad likes to bring up that fact every time I talk to him."
Will: "Then stop talking to him, you big goof."
Tori: "Well one of us has to be the good child, and I guess it's going to have to be me, thanks to my brooding big brother."
Will: "Brooding? What am I? A teen vampire?"
Tori: "You said it, not me."
{Will continues to look around and then changes the subject.}
Will: "It's a nice place, but I know you didn't call me just to have me come check out your gaudy new place. So what's on your mind?"
{Tori walks over and sits down on her new sofa, patting the seat next to her for her brother to follow suit.}
Tori: "It's not so much about what's on my mind, but more so what's on your's. I've been worried about you lately, big bro."
Will: "Why would you be worried about me? I'm at a great place in my life. Fiance... house... the whole nine yards. Oh, and we're getting a dog soon."
Tori: "Yeah... You're the proverbial 'American Dream' now..."
Will: "... What's your point?"
Tori: "It's just... You never call anymore. Sure I hear from you once in a while when something major happens, but I feel like you're moving on with your life without your family.... You know?"
Will: "I'm just busy all of the time. NCW really takes up most of my life. If you haven't noticed, we still haven't had time for the wedding."
Tori: "And what was your excuse when you were out of NCW for like... a year?"
{Will starts to stand.}
Will: "Look. I didn't come here to get preached to about the joys of family. I'm sorry I don't call often enough for you. Maybe if you did something with your life, you wouldn't be waiting by the phone all day, every day for me to call."
Tori: "Wow. Nice. Really nice."
{The older Washington realizes he's hurt his sister's feelings and immediately regrets his harsh words.}
Will: "You just have to understand that I'm not the guy who feels the need to let the world know every time something happens to me."
Tori: "Will... I see you in NCW with Kristen. You're not cold with her like you are with us."
Will: "Kristen... That life. That's my future. You... our parents... that sheltered life. That's my past. I hate to say it, but I've grown up. I'm not intentionally shutting you out, but it just happens."
{Tori looks over at Will with a sadness in her eyes.}
Tori: "You're not being fair, Will. Mom and Dad ask about you every day. They watch every one of your matches. They're the ones you should be calling."
Will: "Nope."
Tori: "Seriously. What did they do you that was so bad? Sure you lived a sheltered childhood, but is that so bad? They gave us everything in the world, and we're the way we are now because of it... and I don't think we turned out that bad at all. I know you don't think so either. I see your promos.... Mister Paragon."
Will: "...."
Tori: "They did a good job, Will. Whether you want to admit it or not. Even today if you needed them, they'd be there for you in an instant. You're the one who split the family apart... not them."
Will: "......"
Tori: "I just think that before you move onto yet another new chapter in your life, you need to mend the torn pages of the old ones. You and Cross had problems, and now you're great friends. Don't do it for me, and don't do it for them. Do it for yourself."
{Will sits back down on the couch, quietly. Thinking. After a few silent seconds, he speaks.}
Will: "You know... You make a lot of sense, little sister."
Tori: "Hey. I grew up too, big brother."
Will: "God I've been selfish all of these years."
Tori: "So... You're going to call Mom?"
Will: "I'll call Mom."
{Tori leans over and hugs her brother, fighting back a tear.}
Tori: "This is such good news! I can't wait!"
Will: "It's going to have to wait a few days though. I've got a match on the pay-per-view this weekend. I've gotta be focused on that."
Tori: "I understand. A few more days of waiting won't kill them... I hope."
{The hug finally breaks.}
Tori: "Does this mean you'll be coming to family holidays again?!"
Will: "I have to take it one step at a time, Tor."
{We fade out as the two sit silently, before changing the subject back to Tori's new apartment.}

"It looks like I've got myself another tag team match this weekend. I'm used to it by now... I've carried my fair share of partners in my day, and Sunday will most likely be no different. You stick me with anyone, and I'm going to get along with them long enough to concur the opposition, because at the end of the day, it's all about the win. Winning is all I care about, and it's what I do best. Guys like Alex Jones are fine with losing a match in an attempt to gain an advantage in the long run, but me? I win at all costs."
"No exceptions."
"The opponents this week are the newly formed 'supergroup' calling themselves the Church of Thor. I'm not going to rip you guys for teaming up. Heck, I give you respect for being smart enough to find someone to watch your backs. I mean... I had a bodyguard there for a while, so I can see where you're coming from in that regard."
"Your message, however, is what I take exception to."
"Everything you say revolves around a very simple concept. Faith. You claim to break the faith of your opponents... you say you break their will. When you're done with an opponent, they're left with nothing to believe. And even more importantly, you do it all in the name of the Norse God, Thor... Or the Marvel comic character. Maybe both. Your faith in the 'God of Thunder' is so strong, that it guides you and leads you to success."
"Hilarious."
"So I welcome you to try and break my faith this weekend. Bring everything you have and then some, but I assure you it won't happen... because MY faith is too strong. I believe in one man."
"... I believe in me."
"One man, with a single cause. A prophet. I've been through it all, and I've come out stronger each and every time. Nothing can break the faith I have in myself, because I know that no matter what anyone says, I'm the master of my own destiny, and I'm the best thing to ever happen to the morons listening to this right now. The war couldn't break me, the Coliseum couldn't break me, and the Church of Thor is damn sure not going to break me. Why am I so sure?"
"Because you can't afford to lose me."
"If I ever for a second lost faith in myself, well... I don't even want to know what would become of the people. My message would be meaningless... and this world needs that message too much. YOU NEED WILL WASHINGTON..... This is what you're up against this weekend, Church. A man who can't afford to be broken, and a nation that can't afford to lose it's conscience."
"Individually, I don't know much about you, Kingsley. You've done some things here in your time, but nothing terribly notable. You're still trying to make your name, but you best believe it won't be at my expense. And Kanyon.... You have no idea how much it eats me up that you've held that NCW World Title in your hands, and I haven't. Your name is in the record books next to some of the biggest names this business has to offer, and that fact is maddening. I got ONE title shot in my life, and even then after I rightfully earned it, I still had to share it. I'm not mad that you made the most of your opportunity... just frustrated."
"That frustration will be projected on you this Sunday, Kanyon. All these years of waiting in the wings while people like you get things that I deserve... that's on your head. The physical manifestation of all that I hate and all that kills me inside.... You two don't even know what you're in for. I'm going to punch.... kick.... maim... until all of that frustration slowly fades away... and then finally be able to destroy you for the right reason..."
"....because I have to."
"And as the members of Red, White, and BANG! collide, I'm forced to stand with a new partner... Caleb Lockwood."
"Kid... I'm sure you remember what happened the last time you and I wrestled. It didn't turn out too well for you... and I may have kept the Enhanced Interrogation Tactics on you a little too long. I'm not going to apologize for that. I made an example of you, and I put you in your place. You got cocky, and you got choked out for it."
"You live and you learn."
"Mind Games presents you with a big opportunity, Caleb. Since the last time we met, you've done some pretty impressive things. You stole the show a few times with your aerial acrobatics, and you've actually gotten your name to mean... something. Good for you for not packing up and quitting the business after I embarrassed you. Stubborn... but admirable."
"Sunday, you find yourself standing in my shadow. As much as it pains you to hear it, you know it's true. This is your chance to prove that you're more than what I say you are. This is your opportunity to sit under the learning tree and experience Will Washington. You can show the world just what kind of man Caleb Lockwood is now, and what he can be with the proper teachings. I know you've saddled yourself up with The Ace in the past, so I know you have a willingness to learn. So bring that. Step into that ring and soak it all up."
"You're not my partner, Lockwood.... You're my student."
"Don't waste this opportunity. Don't throw it away. Seize it."
"... because if you don't.... I'll just have to drag you to a win."
"....It's what I do."
"Have some faith."
Tori: "Pretty nice, eh?"
Will: "You really don't feel bad about spending our parents money, do you?"
Tori: "I'm a trust fund baby. Just like you. If you've got it, spend it."
