The scene opens up in a funeral home as an open casket is presented at the front as the camera zooms in and yes, it is really Davey “The Savior” Boone DEAD in the casket! Boone’s family is all throughout the place as his ex-wife and young son are sobbing on the side as well as Boone’s mother, brother, and sisters. The Punisher is also seen in attendance along with Willy Carter, Chuck Watson, The Knucker, The Tremor, and “Hardcore” Travis Turner all as the pallbearers. Lora Boone’s family is there along with Boone’s and the people we previously named. Not a big turnout for a self proclaimed “legend” right? Anyways, back to the ceremony as the camera finds Seth Drabble with his face lying in his hands crying profusely. Seth gets up and begins walking towards the back and into the lobby area. He reaches inside his jacket for a tissue, but pauses with a confused look on his face and pulls out a piece of folded up paper. He reads it.
“Seth,
If you are reading this then the feelings I’ve had all week did come true. I’ve had a strange feeling that my time on earth was coming to an end and had no idea when or how. I placed this in your funeral wearing jacket and I know it’ll find you safely because; your mother never takes your jacket to the cleaners! Ha! Seriously, I’m sorry for leaving you sad and I can’t say I’m happy in Heaven right now because many people had wished me to hell. I hope you are praying I can be with God, but this is meant for you. Don’t think I’ve left you high and dry; this is your final lesson from me. Two guys you need to go to that I promise you will help you with your career as I’ve helped them and they’ve helped me with mine as well. Johnny Craven….he’ll give you some advice and when he talks about dirty Sanchez’s…ignore him. And The Punisher, without this guy there would be no Davey Boone and that means no Seth Drabble. These guys will be expecting you and you’ll have to help them out as well. You know that though, you don’t get anything free but you must work hard.
Seth, this is your final challenge…yeah, I’m gone and not here physically. But I’ll be with you always. This will show if you really are a man or not, overcoming adversity and persevering through the toughest times of your life. Look at our family; they are going nuts in there over me finally finding true happiness. You’ve got to be the strong one for them and lift them up and give them something to be proud of, you go into Mind Games and whatever match you are in and win it for yourself and nobody else! I’m going to be at ringside with you every night, and Chuck is there….”
Seth pauses for a moment and begins to sob some more before he continues to read.
“In my will, I did leave pretty much everything to my son and my ex-wife. I also have a request in there for you. I want you to be my son’s God son and I want you to be the father that my son can’t have now. Love him like I’ve always loved you and more! Thank you.
Love Always,
Davey “The Savior” Boone”
Seth crumbles the paper up in his hand and begins to sob uncontrollably as he turns and notices little Justin Boone standing there with tears in his eyes looking at Seth. Seth dries up his eyes and wipes his nose and pokes out his chest and takes a knee and extends out his arms as they two embrace. Seth places the note in his jacket pocket and then lifts up Seth as they continue on with the funeral ceremony.
Preacher- We’re all gathered here to say our fair wells to Mr. David Bartholomew Boone. He was a great man that was loved by many and dislikes by others. Just like all of us, Mr. Boone had his flaws. He will always remain with us in our hearts and we will carry him with us wherever we go. Now I’d like to ask a member of the family to come up and say a few things on his behalf.
You can hear several sobs as nobody steps up to the plate to say anything as everyone is just too emotional to handle anything. Chuck looks at Seth and then begins to step forward, and steps up to the podium.
Chuck Watson- David was like a brother to me, and my best friend since we were little kids. We’ve had our good times and our bad times, but now that he’s gone…we can’t have any times. I strongly believe he’s moved on to bigger and better things and he’s probably wrestling upstairs right now and screwing somebody else over costing them a title or something.
A few chuckles are heard as Chuck’s smile leaves his face and he continues and turns towards Boone who is inside the casket and reaches out grabbing his hand.
Chuck Watson- David, you’ve taught me a lot and now I’ve got to pick up where you left off. I hope I’ve always done you proud and that I continue to do what you want me to do and do it the right way. I’ll miss you brother!
Chuck steps down off the podium as the preacher asks for any member of the family to step forward. The family is still pretty hurt to get up in front of them and say something. Seth steps forward and begins to speak.
Seth Drabble- Uncle David has moved on and is in a happier place right now. He did leave us all behind, but we can still go well through his name and carry him in our hearts forever. We must all come together and get through this, Uncle David would tell us this same thing. He was always strong, which is amazing since all of us are so emotional about things. He always knew how to hold things in and let it all out in the ring. You guys are all my family and I’ve got to get through this with all of you supporting me and I promise I will always support you. After all, this is what Uncle David would want us to do for each other. *turns to the casket* Uncle David, we are all going to miss you and love you so much. We will all do our best to get on with our lives as I know that’s what you’d want for us. Thank you for always being there for us!
Preacher- Very well said young man, now will the family please stand and we will start on this side to view the body before we go to the grave site for burial. Pallbearers, will you please wait at the end of the line? Thank you.
The family walks by the casket still sobbing, but not as much as the beginning. Seth picks up Justin and carries him outside and into the limo with him as the line builds up and waits for the hearse to lead them out. Pallbearers lift up the casket and load Boone up into the hearse. They travel on down the road to a small cemetery outside of Little Rock, Arkansas for him to be buried. Boone is lowered down into the grave as people throw several roses on top of the casket as the preacher blesses him and they dismiss. The ceremony is over and Seth has Justin in his arms and is off to the far corner of the cemetery as Lora approaches him.
Lora Boone- I guess you’ve heard about the will then?
Seth Drabble- Yes maim, I will come and see Justin as often as I can and bring him to wrestling events, take him to football games, baseball games, just whatever he wants to do and I’ll do the best that I can.
Lora Boone- You can call me Lora, and thank you so much for being there for us! I know he picked you for a reason.
Lora kisses Seth on the cheek and Justin gives Seth a big hug as they leave. Seth turns and looks back at the grave as dirt is being placed on top of it. He shakes his head trying to snap out of whatever zone he’s in as Chuck walks up beside him now.
Chuck Watson- You going to be okay?
Seth Drabble- I think so, I’m just worried about the rest of the family.
Chuck Watson- You know what he would say to you right now though, right?
Seth Drabble- Yeah, we are all Boone’s and we’ll get through it some way.
Seth looks over at The Punisher as he’s shaking hands with the people still left at the site.
Chuck Watson- What is it?
Seth Drabble- I’m suppose to go talk to The Punisher, I guess that can wait until Mind Games don’t you?
Chuck Watson- Hmmmm, ohhhh…yeah, he’s got his own thing going on right now. I’ve got his number if you need to talk to him. So, are we going to get ready for the four way dance?
Seth Drabble- You dang right we are! It’d help us take our minds off of things, lets get cracking! I’ve never had more motivation as I do right now, so Shawn, Jason, and Joe are all in for a treat come the pay per view! I’ll be putting on the show that my uncle used to do and blow the roof off the arena!
Seth attempts to hop the fence, but trips and falls on his face and gets a few laughs from the people that stayed around. He hops up to his feet and claps his hands together and fixes his hair. Chuck walks through the gate as they climb into a vehicle and head towards St. Louis, Missouri!
