MATCH ONE
Andrew Jacobsen v Rob Diamond
Singles Match
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
{ The opening to This is gonna Hurt blares across the pa as Rob Diamond struts out onto the ramp, the crowd pretty much goes nuts for him as he smirks and looks from side to side as the song's lyrics rock your socks off.}
Amber Ashe: "The following contest is scheduled for one fall... Introducing first... From Greenwich, Connecticut... Weighing in at two hundred and twenty-seven pounds... ROB DIAMOND!"
{Rob begins strutting to the ring like the king of the whole damn world, stopping at the middle of the ramp so he can crotch chop your face off as red, white and blue pyro erupts from behind him in the form of an "X"! He smirks again as he hops up onto the apron and climbs up on the corner post from outside and raises his fists up over his head. He mouths the words of his theme a bit as he jumps off the ropes and leans against the turn buckles.}
Eric Hardy: "Rob Diamond recently made his much-anticipated return to NCW, and he's been looking as good as ever."
Dave Holland: "You're absolutely right, Eric. Diamond hasn't missed a step since returning, and I can't wait to see what he's got up his sleeve tonight."
Willy Carter: "You guys sound happy that he's back. Well congratulations NCW... you re-hired a racist scumbag. I hope you're proud."
Dave Holland: "Personal feelings towards Diamond aside, the guy can really go in the ring."
{A loud air raid siren splits the air as the main guitar riff of "Indestructible" hits, and Andrew Jacobsen comes striding out onto the ramp. He takes a few steps forward, looking to either side. Andrew looks dead ahead at the ring, making a gun shape with his hand, and pulls his thumb across his throat as a mass of red and green pyro goes off behind him.}
Amber Ashe: "And the opponent... From Minneapolis, Minnesota... Weighing in at two hundred and thirty-five pounds... ANDREW JACOBSEN!"
{Jacobsen walks down the ramp, staring dead at the ring, and pulls himself up onto the apron. He climbs through the second rope and walks to a corner, checking his gloves as he waits for the match to start.}
Dave Holland: "Andrew Jacobsen is as good as they come between those ropes, and Rob Diamond definitely spent some time praising him this week."
Willy Carter: "You call it praise, I call it verbal fellatio. Diamond all but called him dreamy and asked him on a date."
Eric Hardy: "These men are former World Tag Team Champions... There's a lot of respect between them, and I'm sure they're going to deliver a heck of a match tonight."
Willy Carter: "Yeah I remember them as Tag Team Champions. You know what my favorite part of their run was? .... Whenever they weren't on my TV screen."
{Referee Johnny Lei calls for the bell and both wrestlers make their way towards the center of the ring. As they maneuver about in a circle, Jacobsen extends his hand, and Diamond slaps it in a show of respect. The two men lock up in a Collar-in-Elbow tie-up, with Jacobsen quickly gaining the advantage with a Side Headlock. Diamond backs Jacobsen into the ropes and pushes free, sending Jacobsen into the opposing ropes, and he quickly leapfrogs Jacobsen as he rebounds. Jacobsen hits the ropes again, and as he turns around, Diamond looks for the big Hip Toss. Jacobsen blocks it and delivers a Hip Toss of his own, sending Diamond to the mat. The 'North Star' follows up with an Elbow Drop, but Diamond rolls out of the way and hits the ropes, looking for the Atomic Leg Drop, but Jacobsen rolls away and Diamond crashes butt-first to the mat. Andrew hits the ropes and comes off with a Running Low Dropkick to the head of Diamond, that puts him on his back. Jacobsen goes for the pin on Diamond. 1.... Diamond quickly kicks out and sits up, where Jacobsen catches him in a Rear Chinlock.}
Eric Hardy: "They've scouted each other well so far."
Willy Carter: "Yeah.... in the showers, maybe."
Dave Holland: "Woah! Too far."
{Diamond pushes himself up to his feet while Andrew keeps on the Chinlock, but Diamond delivers two elbow shots to the gut that break the hold. Diamond runs and hits the ropes, but Jacobsen meets him with a Shoulder Block as he rebounds. Andrew bounces off the ropes as Diamond rolls to his stomach, and Jacobsen steps over him to hit the opposing ropes. As Jacobsen turns at the ropes, Diamond leaps in the air and looks to score with a Dropkick, but Jacobsen grabs the top rope to stop his momentum, avoiding the attack. Diamond gets to his feet and is met by a Standing Dropkick from the Minnesotan. Diamond hits the mat, but is up quickly, where Jacobsen catches him with another Dropkick. Diamond gets up quickly again, not perfectly balanced, and walks into an Inverted Atomic Drop from Jacobsen. The 'North Star' then quickly hits the ropes behind the incapacitated Diamond, and drives him into the mat face-first with a Running One-Handed Bulldog. Jacobsen guides Diamond to his feet and pulls him into STO position, but Diamond fires off a few elbow shots to the side of the head that stop AJ in his tracks. Diamond grabs him and lifts him up, slamming Jacobsen down with a Scoop Slam. Before Jacobsen can react, Diamond gets a running start and leaps, coming down across his throat with the Atomic Leg Drop. Diamond hooks the leg and goes for a pin 1.... 2. AJ kicks out.}
Willy Carter: "I had no idea Rob Diamond considered himself a 'Real American'."
Eric Hardy: "Oh yeah. He fights for the rights of Joe Everyman."
Dave Holland: "Well he's in for the fight of his life, tonight!"
{Rob Diamond guides Jacobsen to his feet and grabs him, dropping down with the Sitout Jawbreaker. AJ stumbles backwards and Diamond gets to a vertical base before grabbing Jacobsen and driving him down with a Full Nelson Slam. Diamond goes for another quick pin. 1... 2. Kick out. Diamond gets to his feet and watches as Jacobsen pushes up, before hitting the ropes and coming off, looking for the Scissor Kick on the leaning opponent. Jacobsen turns at the last second, catching Diamond and drilling him into the canvas with a vicious Double A Spinebuster. He hooks the leg. 1.... 2.. Diamond kicks out this time.}
Dave Holland: "A Spinebuster like that takes all the wind out of you. Kudos to Rob for having the instincts to kick out."
Willy Carter: "That one is going to hurt for a while."
{Andrew pulls Diamond to his feet and Irish Whips him into the turnbuckles before stepping back into the opposing corner. Jacobsen runs at the corner and looks for the Running Corner Dropkick, but Diamond is able to slip out of the way, causing AJ to crash and burn. Diamond watches from afar as AJ uses the corner to pull himself up, before charging and crushing the Minnesotan into the turnbuckles with a Stinger Splash. Andrew stumbles out of the corner, but Diamond is waiting, catching and trapping him in the Crossface Chickenwing Hold. Jacobsen drops to his knees as Diamond tries for the submission victory. AJ reaches for the ropes to break the hold, but he can't get to them. After a few moments of the hold, Jacobsen finds his second wind and pushes back up to his feet, but Diamond jumps up and hooks his legs around AJ's waist while keeping the hold locked on. Jacobsen holds the weight of both men up before running Diamond into the turnbuckles, breaking the hold. Andrew turns around and faces Diamond, hitting him with a Shoulder Thrust before lifting him up to the top turnbuckle.}
Eric Hardy: "Uh oh. It gets dangerous up there on that top rope."
Dave Holland: "It's going to be a long way down for somebody."
{Jacobsen connects with some quick punches before stepping up and hooking Diamond, sending both men flying to the mat with a Superplex from the top. The crowd cheers wildly as both men lay motionless on the mat as the referee begins to count them out. As his count reaches seven, both men stumble to their feet and exchange punches. Jacobsen gets the advantage and hits a boot to the gut, pulling Diamond in for the Snap DDT. Diamond blocks the move with a forearm shot to the gut and creates seperation between the two competitors. Rob connects with a series of rapid fire fists that stun Jacobsen, and serve to fire Diamond up even more. The 'Infamous' Diamond takes a step back and yells out to the crowd before spinning and looking to take Jacobsen's head off with a Fistfull O'Democracy! Jacobsen ducks the move and catches Diamond's waist, tossing him in the air.... and drilling him with The Gordie Howe Special! Diamond's head and neck snap back from the force of the sinister Uppercut and he crumbles to the mat!}
Dave Holland: "Oh my that's a devastating maneuver! Rob Diamond looked to take Jacobsen's head off with that Backfist, but he's the one who's head nearly ended up in the audience!"
Willy Carter: "I... uh.... that was some scary stuff."
Eric Hardy: "It's gotta be academic from here."
{Jacobsen gathers his bearings and drops to the mat, going for the pin. 1..... 2..... Diamond kicks out!}
Willy Carter: "Spoke too soon, eh Hardy?"
{Both men struggle to their feet, but Andrew gets to a vertical base first, and greets Diamond with a Knife Edge Chop that turns his chest a bright red. Diamond tries to return fire with a chop of his own, but Jacobsen catches his arm and pulls him in, trapping him in Belly-to-Belly position. The always resourceful Diamond uses his head, literally, as he Headbutts his opponent to break his grasp and deliver a Belly-to-Belly Suplex of his own. Rob gets to his feet and waits, stalking Jacobsen as he slowly makes it to a vertical base. As the young Minnesotan does, Diamond grabs his arms and turns him around, looking to score big with the Dominicus Driver!... but Jacobsen slips his arms loose and grabs Diamond's arm.... nailling him with the Cut the Strings Backbreaker! Jacobsen's signature Pumphandle Backbreaker sends pain shooting through the spine of Rob Diamond. The 'North Star' is feeling it now as the crowd gets firmly behind him. He waits in the wings while Diamond pushes up to his feet. Jacobsen comes forward and looks to drill Diamond with the Lights Out Superkick... but Diamond avoids the kick... Jacobsen spins around.... DIAMOND CUTTER! Diamond slowly rolls Jacobsen over and goes for the pin. 1.... 2.... 3!}
Amber Ashe: "Here is your winner by pinfall.... ROB DIAMOND!"
{Diamond lays on top of the fallen Jacobsen for a moment, catching his breath as he raises his arm in victory.}
Dave Holland: "It looked like it was all over from Diamond there, but he nailed that Diamond Cutter out of nowhere! Another big win for on his comeback tour!"
Willy Carter: "Ugh. You let me down, Jacobsen."
{Diamond's music hits as he gets to his feet, and he helps Jacobsen up as well. Diamond grabs Jacobsen's arm and raises it high in the air.}
Eric Hardy: "You know there's a lot of respect between these two when even Rob Diamond is being gracious."
Dave Holland: "Those two put on a heck of a show. They should both be proud of their efforts."
Willy Carter: "I'm sure they are, Dave... And up next we've got another match that's going to put butts in the seats, when Philip Burns takes on Joe Everyman."
Dave Holland: "It's a Philip Burns match, so you know it can't be missed! ...and Joe's there too. So stick around!"

{ Rob Diamond is seen walking backstage with his attorney, Mr. Happy, the fat ass crazy clown. Rob's looking pretty focused as he walks, like he's got something to say, or do, or.... Say? }
Mr. Happy: So Curtis-
{ Rob shoots Happy the death glare. }
Rob: I don't wanna talk about that fat sack of crap right now.
Mr. Happy: Yeah but he totally hit you with a hammer last week. A Godly hammer! We can press like religious charges or something. I've got a book.
{ Happy reaches into his back pocket and pulls out a tiny book that has the word "Law" written on it in pink crayon. }
Mr. Happy: I've read this thing like three times, I know there is something in here that can help.
Rob: You can't help me with this, Happy.
Mr. Happy: Then who can?
{ Rob looks right at the camera and totally breaks the fourth wall with a smirk. }
Rob: A very powerful friend....
{ And with that Rob takes off leaving a confused Mr. Happy standing there. }
Mr. Happy: .... But I think Nelly Angel died in Korietnam or something... Rob? Rob who are talking about... Rob??

MATCH TWO
Phillip Burns v Joe Everyman

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MATCH TWO
Phillip Burns v Joe Everyman
Singles Match
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eric Hardy: It has really been an epic last couple of weeks here on Collision. We've got some of the greatest superstars in nCw history coming out of the wood work for one more run and tonight is no different as we see Phillip Burns back in action.
Dave Holland: We saw him last week redebut on Trauma but now he makes his grand Collision return against one of the original nCw superstars, Joe Everyman.
Eric Hardy: Everyman has been here since the beginning and you've got to imagine he doesn't like being pushed down the card for men like Burns or Jackhammer, even.
Willy Carter: Then he better get off his ass and do something about it.
{Live To Rise by Soundgarden starts blasting over the PA system. Pyros are going off on the stage all over the place. Joe Everyman then comes out onto the stage. Joe walks down the ramp while holding their arms up towards the crowd, who has a mixed but mostly face reaction. Joe then comes to the end of the ramp and does a standing jump onto the apron. Joe then climbs into the ring through the ropes and looks around in the crowd and hold up his arm. Then loud blue pyros shoot from the ring posts. Joe then stands and waits.}
Dave Holland: Joe is looking fired up this evening.
Willy Carter: Good for him. Now lets see that sack of crap actually do something and I'll care.
Eric Hardy: It's like you reset every single match...
{ The opening of "Move" by TFK blares over the PA system and a spotlight shines on the stage with a glow as Philip Burns is being raised from a hidden hole in the stage; He is wearing a red ragged leather jacket that hangs all the way to below his knees with his logo on the back. He takes a few steps forward. The spotlights follows him as he journeys down the ramp, taking a second to pose in front of the ring for the cameras. He rolls into the ring and removes his jacket. Burns then stand in his corner, ready for the match to begin. }
Eric Hardy: Phillip Burns looks like he's excited to be here back on Collision. Possibly one of the best in ring competitors our promotion has ever seen.
Dave Holland: He's definitely got some talent.
Eric Hardy: But will Joe be able to match it?
Dave Holland: It's like you've said, Joe probably has the longest uninterrupted streak of matches in nCw history and Phil is on his second match back. Joe should have the advantage.
Willy Carter: Should have...
{ The bell sounds and Joe barrels right out of his corner at Burns. Phil side steps the charge but Joe uses the ropes as a spring board and sends a back elbow flying into the face of Burns. Joe is right back up, so is Phil. Joe with a stiff toe kick to the mid section of Burns and a belly to back suplex. Burns skids across the mat and tries to get up quick but Joe catches him with a running knee to the side of the head. He grabs Phil by the hair and hits him with two hard elbows and sends him into the corner. Everyman runs in with a hard clothes line then snap mares him out of the corner and follows it up with a stiff drop kick to the lower back. Joe plants Burns' shoulders and cover. One! Two! KICK OUT! }
Dave Holland: Joe is on Burns like-
Willy Carter: White on rice?
Dave Holland:... Something like that.
{ Everyman doesn't waste any time and heads to the top rope but as he gets there Phil comes back to life and springs up the ropes as fast as he can. He grabs Joe around the waist and they both go flying off the top with an impressive over head belly to belly super-plex! }
Eric Hardy: OH MY GOD! How did Burns pull that off!?
Dave Holland: It's all in the hips, Eric.
Willy Carter: That's what she said.
{Burns is in some pain but now he's shifted the momentum in his favor and wants to keep on Joe. Everyman struggles to get up but Phil catches him with a running bulldog. Burns gets right up, grabs Joe by the head and begins to drive knee after knee in the skull of Joe Everyman before capping it off with a move he calls the Iron Claw! }
Willy Carter: Burns is squeezing the crap out of Joe's cranium!
{ Phil grins at the crowd before throwing Joe's arm over his shoulder and hits a snap suplex. Phil is feeling pretty good about himself right now. Joe staggers to his feet as Burns runs in for back cracker but Joe hooks his arms around the ropes and Phil slams himself down on the mat. Joe turns and runs at Phil but Burns catches him with a drop toe hold and looks to lock in the Emergin' Sea! Joe begins to claw for the ropes as fast as he can as Burns begin to lay into Joe with some head butts. Joe grabs the ropes and Phil breaks the hold. Both men are too their feet and begin to exchange right hands. }
Eric Hardy: If Phil has any ring rust it's hard to tell from here.
Dave Holland: He's been giving Joe a real run for his money the last few minutes.
{ Burns gets the upper hand and drives Joe into the corner where he lays in with a few body shops before the ref finally breaks it up. Burns grins and runs in with a drop kick in the corner. Joe stumbles out and Burns is up and goes for the BURN NOTICE! No, Joe manages to head butt Phil right in the side of the head, blocking the Burn Notice. }
Dave Holland: And there was the ring rust as Joe had that move scouted all day long.
{ Before Burns can react Joe nails the EKO!!!! Everyman is up, the fans are pumped and Joe goes to the corner. He climbs the ropes, looks down on Burns and smiles before leaping off with the SWANTON BOMB! Everyman hooks the leg and ONE! TWO! KICK OUT! Joe doesn't stop as he peels Burns off the mat and plants him again with the LEVIATHAN SPINE BUSTER! Joe is pumped now. }
Eric Hardy: Joe EVeryman turned this match around in his favor and now it's his match to win or lose.
Willy Carter: I'm actually surprised right now. I'd of figured he'd of lost this match by now.
{ Everyman waits for Burns to get back to his feet before hitting a stiff kick to the ribs, hooking Phil around the neck, he looks for the Twist of Fate but Phil pushes him off into the ropes and hooks Joe for the BURN NOTICE!!!! }
Dave Holland: Woah! Burns caught everyone by surprise right there.
Eric Hardy: Now he just has to capitalize on it.
{ Phil is looking a little out of it as he struggles to get the shoulder over Joe. Every moment that passes is a moment Phil could be winning this match as it takes him several moments to put his arm across Joe. The ref drops down and ONE! TWO! NO! Joe's foot is on the ropes. }
Eric Hardy: Everyman with the ring awareness of a seasoned vet.
Willy Carter: Now if only he could win matches like one.
Dave Holland: He's holding his own in there right now, Willy.
Willy Carter: Sure...
{ Burns and Joe both take some time getting back to their feet. Everyman bounces off the ropes and looks for a clothes line that Burns ducks, swings behind Joe and looks for another Burn Notice and NAILS IT! Phil covers quick this time and ONE! TWO! THREE! }
Amber Ashe: And your winner... PHILIP BURNS!!!!!

{When NCW comes back from break we are greeted by the sight of Adam Knite, NCW Co-owner, standing in the middle of the ring at a podium that has been set up witht he “NCW Hall of Fame” logo across the front. The crowd cheers before Adam tells them to settle down and he begins his speech.}
Adam Knite: I think we all know why I’m here. Ever since we announced that NCW would be starting a women’s division and the aftermath of the initial tournament we all knew some day this day was going to come. There have been some amazingly talented women that have walked through these halls... some that, if NCW was continuing, would eventually deserve a call for this Hall of Fame... but we all know who “has” to be the first. The 19 year old, blue eyed, black haired geek that somehow captured the imaginations of fans and fellow NCW Stars alike.
{The fans begin to cheer loudly again, but Adam smiles and tries to calm them quickly another time.}
Adam Knite: I’ve done a couple of these already, as we try and fill in all the holes before our closing I’ve been asked to be a part of people’s fond memories, and say a few things to get all of you on your feet and remembering the good times... but for me, this one here is the one I feel the most proud of. The honor of inducting my sister into the NCW Hall of Fame, the honor of seeing how far she came to get to this point. I remember when I was first training her and believe it or not she was even smaller than she is now.. so she’s this tiny teenager, fresh out of flunking out of High School and everybody around me is telling me how crazy the thought of her becoming a professional wrestler was. Maybe that’s what helped drive her, maybe that’s what pushed me to prove them all wrong... but whatever the case, I remember two weeks in when I paired her against one of those young recruits and watched as she brought him to the mat and proceeded to break his arm with the very hold I taught her.
{Adam laughs.}
Adam Knite: It was that moment that I knew she was going to be special. It was that moment where there wasn’t a doubt in my mind that she could accomplish this and that some day I would be standing here in front of all of you telling you that story. I’ve never been more proud of anybody in my entire life, I’ve never been so happy to be standing here looking goofy and rambling on with a stupid speech... She’s been my best friend and one of the most important figures in my life for a long time, my sister: Fist ever NCW Starlets World Champion... ZELDA KNITE.
{The fans jump to their feet and begin to clap as “Call to Action” by Piller begins to play and Zelda walks out smiling and waving to the crowd. She walks down, climbs into the ring and gives Adam a big hug before he hands her, her plaque. Zelda stands behind the stadium and grins for severl moments as she waits for the cheers and whistles to die down.}
Zelda Knite: I’m not going to be long, I don’t want to keep you from the rest of this great show... plus I’ve got Bioshock Infinite paused backstage and I gotta get back there and save Columbia.
{She gets a good little chuckle from that as she cheeses for the camera.}
Zelda Knite: But seriously... I don’t know what to say here. This is a huge honor, being the first World Champion and now being the first and only woman to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, I just don’t think I can believe it has all happened to me yet. When I begged Adam to take me in and train me five years ago I never thought I would get this far so fast. It’s been a crazy ride, but I’m glad I did it here, I’m glad I got to entertain all my NCW Zombies and hopefully wherever this life takes us from this point on with the closing of NCW you’ll stay Zombies and remember all the great times we had. From my battles against Emma Danielson, to trying to control NCW, you have always been there and always encouraged me on. I want to say thank you to my brother, he saved me life five years ago and gave me a purpose. I want to thank my father, Gib, he’s not always taken his role as a parent seriously, but he’s my dad and he’s shown me a kind of love I had all but given up on. My best friend in the whole wide world Crystal Hilton... she was always beside me no matter what crazy antics we were wrapped in and I look forward to even more of those EMF moments in the future and finally... thank all of you, thank you for always being behind the scared little girl from Texas who was just doing whatever it took to survive, you’ll never know how much it meant to her. For all my Zombies... this is your legend.
{Zelda holds up her trophy and smiles to the fans who cheer her on before we head to commercial break.}

MATCH FIVE
Will Washington v The Ace w/ Roberto Verona as Special Guest Referee
Singles Match
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eric Hardy: Welcome back to Collision, our next match is….well, I am not sure it is even a proper match.
Dave Holland: Will looks to keep his momentum going, but he needs to factor in not only his opponent the Ace, but the referee Roberto Verona!
Willy Carter: Time for the officials to learn a lesson.
{ The camera cuts to the ring where Amber Ashe stands with a microphone in her hand, ready for the following contest. }
Amber Ashe: The following match is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, by the orders of Kelly Fox and the Saviour of NCW, hailing from Firenze, Italy via Chicago, Illinois, the special guest referee, Roberto Verooooonnnaaaa!
{ The lights in the arena all go out at "King of the World" by Porcelain and the Tramps begins to blare out of the PA system. Spotlights begin to scan the crowd before fixating on a figure at the top of the stage which is revealed to be Roberto Verona, his head bowed towards the floor. As boos being to resonate around the arena Verona raises his head, the NCW World Championship wrapped around his waist, and he begins a slow methodical march down the ramp, the spotlight following him as golden pyro rains down from above on the stage. Verona stares with disgust at the crowd who heckle him as he approaches the ring, but he doesn't react to them. As he reaches the steps he slowly ascends them before walking towards the middle of the ring apron, turning around to look into the crowd one last time before looking up and closing his eyes as he stretches his arms out wide and basks in the abuse. After indulging himself Verona climbs into the ring, raising the NCW World Championship high above his head as he awaits the beginning of the match. }
Eric Hardy: Great, let’s get this over with….
Dave Holland: Roberto is a smart man, he is taking a week off to prepare whilst still performing for the fans and he’s putting Will in a position that could be detrimental to his challenge, wise move.
Willy Carter: The best referee of all time.
{ The opening trumpet brings the lights of the arena down to pitch black, and as the soft piano kicks in, our attention is drawn to the twinkling yellow diamond made up itself of shimmering diamonds as it shines bright in the darkness, providing just enough illumination to make out the four Aces. As the lyrics to 'Skyfall' by Adele kick in, a s single white spotlight eliminates the circular platform that The Ace is stood upon with his back towards us, the platform is decorated to look like a roulette wheel. Slowly it spins a full one-eighty degrees and as the chorus is reached and we see The Ace facing us with the National Championship around his waist, the lights in the arena start to flash yellow and cards begin to fall from the rafters. The Ace waits a moment before stepping off the platform and grasping the hand of Kathleen Conway, who is carrying her husband's steel rake in one hand and the couple proudly walk through the shower of falling cards, hand in hand. At the foot of the ramp, the cards stop falling as the couple share a kiss. The Ace then confidently struts over to the steel steps as Kathy remains at ringside, armed. The Ace climbs the steel steps towards the ropes and steps through them. He walks over to the adjacent turnbuckle, unhooking his title belt and climbing the second rope. He raises both arms in the air, the belt dangling from his right hand. The Ace then climbs down and he walks to the middle of the ring, removing his jacket as the song fades, the lights return to normal... }
Eric Hardy: Oh great, he brought Kathy with him, so now it is practically a three on one.
Dave Holland: I’d actually say that is quite smart, Kathy doesn’t even need to get involved in this match to cause Washington problems at a bare minimum.
Willy Carter: And when Verona does his job properly Kathy won’t even be a factor because he is an entirely fair and impartial judge.
{ The lights in the arena go dark and the crowd anticipation amplifies. ‘Battle of Heroes’ by John Williams hits throughout the arena, giving us an epic feel, before a single spotlight shines down at the top of the ramp. Will Washington steps out into the spotlight and soaks in it’s rays. After a moment of this, Will throws a punch and an explosion of pyrotechnics goes off on each side of the spotlight, and the arena lights come back on. Will looks to both sides of the crowd before smirking and starting down the ramp. }
Amber Ashe: “Making his way to the ring..... From Cambridge, Massachusetts..... Weighing in at two hundred and thirty-two pounds.… Will Washington!”
{ Washington walks down the ramp with and acknowledges the fans. He reaches the arena steps and walks up them before turning around to play to the crowd. Our hero turns back around and wipes his boots on the outside ring apron before stepping through the ropes. He climbs to the top turnbuckle and looks out towards the fans before dropping back down and removing his dog tags, handing them to someone at ringside. Washington looks backs into a corner and stands there, getting loose while waiting for the match to start. }
Dave Holland: Here comes Will, into the vipers nest!
Eric Hardy: He knows what is about to come, I just hope these guys don’t screw him too much before the big match next week.
Willy Carter: Will has the best official possible, he can’t complain.
{ Once the pair have exchanged a few less than pleasant words Verona calls for the bell to be rung to start the match. Washington runs right back to Conway and hits him in the face with a stiff kick which sends him straight back down despite his best efforts to get up. Eventually Washington hoists him to his feet only to lift the Ace into the air before completing an inch perfect suplex which shudders the rings, much to Kathy’ disapproval who slaps the mat with frustration. Washington drags Conway by the ankle to the middle of the ring and leaps into the air before dropping a vicious elbow into the throat of Conway in an uncharacteristic display of aggression as he tries to assert himself in a match stacked against him. }
Dave Holland: Washington is certainly upping the aggression but in a match where Verona will disqualify him for breathing funny.
Eric Hardy: But Verona is meant to be impartial….
Willy Carter: You may be being sarcastic but for once you’re right.
{ Washington tries to calm himself down but the sight of Kathy fuming at ringside and Verona watching him with eagle eyes seems to light a fire in the #1 contender who begins to stamp furiously on Conway, once again Verona steps in to stop the fight which prompts Kathy to hop up onto the apron and shout obscenities at Will as the referee checks on Ace. Will stands and considers Kathy’ argument for a few moments before ducking out of the way as Ace comes flying across the ring, landing a firm forearm into the side of the head of his opponent…..but his momentum carries the pair into Kathy! The crowd cheers as Kathy hits the mat as Verona rolls out of the ring to check on her, asking for a bottle of water immediately and some medical attention to the disgust of the crowd. Washington hangs over the rope and laughs at Kathy who begins to come around as Verona warns him to behave himself. }
Eric Hardy: Jake is not going to be happy about that!
Willy Carter: She…I….erm…I hope Kathy is alright. I’m lost for words….
Dave Holland: Wait, Washington, behind you!
{ As Verona rolls back in the ring Jake sneaks up behind Washington and hits him with a low blow, forcing him to drop to the mat clutching his valuables as Roberto pretends to have never seen it, smirking to himself. The crowd boo as Conway gets to his feet with an angry look on his face before kicking Washington in the face. The Ace lifts Washington up and drops him back down with a powerslam which shakes the ring and causes Washington to arch his back in agony much to the delight of Kathy who has managed to recover at ringside. Conway wastes little time lifting the prone Washington back up and dropping with a second powerslam whilst laughing out loud as he sends the #1 contender thundering down. }
Dave Holland: Washington took his eye off the game to concentrate on others and it backfired.
Eric Hardy: You can hardly blame the man, these two are looking at any angle to get to him by any means necessary.
Willy Carter: A proper official and a loving wife….how evil.
{ Conway spends a little time soaking up the crowds torrent of abuse before landing a stiff kick to the jaw of Washington who doesn’t know what hit him. Jake decides enough is enough and he picks Will up and hoists him above his head with a gorilla press slam, holding his opponent up. Washington looks down and realises how high he is and tries to struggle but before he can do anything about he is pushed into the air and allowed to drop from a great height behind Conway with a sickening crunch as he lands face first on the mat. Conway turns quickly and drops to high knees and being to apply a grounded chokehold to Washington as Kathy begins to clap the offence of her partner. }
Eric Hardy: Did you see the velocity that Conway got on that manoeuvre!?
Dave Holland: Ace is a very strong man he is capable of a lot.
Willy Carter: My boys are making this USA chump look like the fool he is.
{ Verona completely ignores the action in the ring as Kathy slithers around to stares Washington right in the eyes as her partner chokes the life out of him, shouting obscenities at him before Washington tries to grab at him and inadvertently manages to reach the ropes. Roberto, however, doesn’t order Conway to break the hold but Jake decides he has done enough damage. At ringside Kathy lands a slap across Washington’s face which erupts an “oooohhhh” from the crowd as Washington stares daggers at Kathy who backs off with her arms in the air laughing. }
Dave Holland: Verona showing his novel approach to officiating once again as Kathy gets a little bit of smack talk in on a man being choked to death. Classy.
Eric Hardy: Well it is to be expected now, it’s par for the course.
{ Conway eventually turns back to his opponent and lifts him up but as he does he gets a sharp elbow to the gut from Washington who is fuming from the slap moments ago. Washington begins to psyche up as he lands another and another and another! Conway eventually stumbles away but as he turns back around Washington hits him with a furious right hand which catches him by complete surprise in its ferocity and sends him barrelling over on the mat. Washington wastes no time in continuing the assault as he kicks at Conway who tries to protect himself and calls for the referee to break up this attack and Verona is quick to leap in and break the pair up and Washington is clearly starting to lose his patience at the officiating.. }
Eric Hardy: Jesus, just let the pair fight…
Dave Holland: Verona didn’t have this match made to let Will have a fair ride.
Willy Carter: This is a terrible display, Kathy is just trying to break up a vicious assault!
{ Washington finally stops his assault after some stern words, lifting Conway to his feet, though he struggles to stand. Washington quickly helps him back to the mat with a DDT before picking him back up again and taking a few steps back to land a clothesline, though this does little but force the giant to stagger to his knees. Spotting an opportunity Washington takes a few more steps back and sends Jake crashing down with a running dropkick right to the face. }
Dave Holland: Washington is unleashing all that pent up aggression on Conway who must be questioning why he is taking his partner’s ass kickings.
Eric Hardy: He is paid well to do so.
Willy Carter: They’re friends, Verona would do the same for him, not that you’d know what having a friend is like Hardy…
{ Washington paces around a little as Conway slowly sits up but his recovery is short lived as Will drives a knee straight into his face which sends him back down before making the cover…..however, Verona makes no effort to count the pinfall which causes Will to look straight up at him and he asks “What the hell are you doing”. Verona just stares blankly back and shakes his head before telling Will he “needs to do better than that”. Washington cocks his head in bewilderment before nodding and picking Conway back up, grabbing his arm and planting him back down with a Ishamel’s Revenge then he rolls back on top of Jake. Verona motions with his hand to suggest ‘not bad’ before slowly dropping to his knees and counting 1…………..2………….NO! Conway manages to kick out after a very slow count. }
Eric Hardy: What the hell? Verona is dictating what does and doesn’t constitute an acceptable way of winning now?
Dave Holland: He is making this about himself Hardy, do you really think he was going to be content with just calling it down the line?
{ Washington pushes himself up furiously and immediately pushes Verona who staggers a few steps back before stepping forward and pushing Washington right back as the crowd reaches fever pitch. Both men stare at one another before Washington starts to ask him what on earth he is doing but Roberto stays completely silent, though his contempt quite easy to see written across his face. Washington finishes his tirade by stating “Do your job” until he turns around right into a devastating big boot from the revitalised Conway. Jake then steps over Washington and with one big hand pushes Verona backwards like Washington did moments earlier as he picks the fallen Will up off the mat. Verona is seething with rage as he breathes deeply whilst looking down at the mat but as he goes to push Conway back the crowd erupt with boos as Kelly Fox emerges from behind the curtain carrying a fold out chair with her. Verona stops dead in his tracks and smiles as the CEO position sits down right atop the ramp whilst Conway just smiles before dropping Washington with a piledriver. }
Dave Holland: It seems things are about to get a little more interesting.
Eric Hardy: Well regardless of what Kelly has done in the past Verona was taking liberties with his position tonight and he is overshadowing her nefarious deeds…
Willy Carter: Our great leader is here to make sure Will can’t claim she didn’t see the perfectly fair officiating.
{ Without wanting to allow Washington to recover he performs a inch perfect superkick which leaves Washington in a heap and Conway awaiting a pin count,as Veron drops to his knees quickly and begins to count, 1…..2..NO! Washington kicks out despite the quick count much to the Ace’s dismay wgo hoists him right back up but much to his detriment as Will spears him to the ground and begins to lay fists into his head, one after the other before suddenly his gaze fixates on Verona who looks right back at him as the Ace wisely rolls out of the ring towards Kathy as they watch from the mat. Will stands up and goes face to face with Verona who begins to beg Washington to smack him and as if by command Will plants a fist right into Roberto’s temple, clearly having had more than enough of these charades. }
Eric Hardy: Good on Will, this was descending into a farce.
Dave Holland:Roberto was always going to play this game, we all knew it but Will has had enough.
Willy Carter: Ha ha, idiot just went and lost himself the match, what a fool
{ Verona immediately calls for the bell as he rolls out of the ring to escape any further onslaught sporting the biggest smile imaginable as Will begins to go nuts in the ring, complete sick and tired of all the game as Amber Ashe lifts up from her feet. }
Amber Ashe: Your winner….by disqualification, Jake Conwaaayyyyy!
{ Roberto and Jake both meet up around by the ramp as Kathy follows suit whilst they make their way up to join Kelly Fox at the top of the stage as Will Washington just looks back at the them, pure rage in his eyes as he has clearly had enough of the mind games. Reaching between the ropes he beckons for a microphone which is passed to him before shouting up the ramp at Roberto and his entourage. }
Will Washington: Turning tail and running? Is that the sort of champion you are, Verona?
{ The crowd cheer as Roberto turn and smiles back at Will, slowly reclaiming his belt which is firmly in the hands of the CEO Kelly Fox. The little gang share the amusement amongst themselves. }
Will Washington: Do you think this is funny, Verona? You’re meant to be the greatest champion of all time and yet all you’ve done is dance around the issue…
{ Roberto collects a microphone of his own as he looks down at Will. }
Roberto Verona: The issue? An what may that be? Your crippling inability to be remotely relevant to anybody in 2013? The fact that when push comes to shove there isn’t a single person better than me in this federation?
Will Washington: No. The fact that in seven day’s time the so called best of all time will find himself left lying on his back, knowing that his dream of main eventing A Night to Remember is in pieces. At the premier show of the year a future Hall of Famer and dominant champion isn’t going to be closing the show, he is going to be sat on his ass next to his corporate bitch watching as the real men put this company to rest!
{ The crowd omit an “ohhhhh” as the look on Kelly’s soon changes from the jovial one that came before, her nostrils flared as she breathes heavily. Roberto too takes a more sombre look as he stares down at Will Washington. }
Roberto Verona: Oh William, what a cute fantasy, such a shame it doesn’t match up with reality. You see, at Sovereign, there will be only one result and it isn’t the one your wet dreams are made of and trust me when I say this, the games are far from over but believe me, you’re just a pawn in them. At Sovereign I will continue my reign as the best of all time, but at A Night to Remember?
{ Verona pauses as he looks around the arena, smiling from ear to ear }
Roberto Verona: Let’s just say that the name will be a fitting epitaph.
{ Verona tosses his mic to one side as Will points up and continue to verbally abuse him, promising to take his belt making the usual motions around his waist as the show draws to a close on a shot of Will and Verona looking back at one another. }
Eric Hardy: That is a… unnerving prophecy that I am not sure I am too keen of.
Willy Carter: If Roberto was giving us all $100 you’d be suspicious.
Dave Holland: What exactly does he mean? Can Will be the man to end the reign of Roberto Verona or will the machine march on to A Night to Remember? Who will be the last Gladiator? I cannot wait until next week, though what the future holds, I do not know!
