It certainly was a letdown. Not winning the Starlets championship at Sovereign. Not being the first female gladiator. It was withing my grasp and I came up short. But I guess there really is no shame to losing to someone as good as Zelda Knite. I should be really upset about it, but really, I'm not. I've got bigger things on my mind.
My man is back. Flash is back with me. And I'm back with him. And after all this time, all the things that have happened. I feel like I can take on the world now. Like nothing can hurt me. Like I can run through anything. I have a lot of things on my plate, and now my load isn't as heavy as it used to be. Flash being back with me, makes what's going to happen in the future all the positive. I'm not looking forward to taking the fight back to Rodney he started this, I'm going to finish it.
But I've got a clearer mind to think about other things too. I've got a chance to get right back in the hunt before NCW comes to an end. My performance must have impressed the right people because I have a number one contender's match against Kathy Conway. Her performance was too impressive, just not enough to take down Zelda.
But I feel like I took Zelda's best shot, and I feel like I can defeat her. I wonder if Kathy feels that way? I'm sure Kathy said some things that were completely true, and a bunch of things were only in her head, but whatever. I'm not concerned about what she has to say, I'm just going to let my fists do the talking. I'm through caring about what people have to say about me. I paid Kathy the utmost respect the last time I talked about her, she, as the head of the Starlets division, she gave me a chance. I even thanked her for it. But that wasn't enough for her, was it? No, she still felt the need to come out on camera and talk **** about me like I disrespected her. I didn't. But I guess since she wants to go there, I guess we can go there.
So let me start by saying that I gave you fair warning Kathy. I tried to play nice with you. You wanted to disrespect, you get it back, ten-fold. This was going to simply be me talking to you like an adult. Trying to simply give you the props you've earned, and stake my own claim. But no, you couldn't do that could you? You can't give me respect can you? Because to you, I'm just street trash aren't I? That's fine Kathy, I know you think that way anyway, you don't need to say it, it's on your mind, it's on your heart and it's the way you operate. You can try to play to the streets as much as you like, but it doesn't change how you really are. I see through you. I'm not stupid. I wasn't born yesterday.
Kathy, here's the thing sweetheart, at one point, you were a Starlet's tag team champion. And those titles have been retired for a year. So, to that, I say "Good job, but who cares now?" I'll tell you who cares, no one. Not a soul on this planet, save for you, and your husband, and Emma Danielson. That's been the thing with both of you for the past I don't know how long. You were, at one point, viable contenders for championships. I get that. But those days have passed all of us by. You yourself know you can't be the champion if given the shot, so you wanted the next best thing, control over the division that you aren't good enough to be champion of. And you did that. It's a goal you accomplished. Good for you. That was then, this is now. And you stepped back into the ring, and you've been successful to a point, but last week, you were not the best. You weren't second best either. You were third best. I was closer than you.
Just like I know loss and death better than you. You can make up all the back stories you want about your life, As if you really want to prove me wrong. Whatever. Don't want to hear it. The only thing I really want to say about that is it's mighty convenient if you ask me. You were a cop back in the day. The same kind of cop that would do nothing to help the people in my neighborhood. The kind of cop who looked down with disdain at us and the people who lived there. Cops like you are the reason for the people not having faith in the police in the first place. If any of that is true at all.
Hell, all I have to do is look at the past and see that you dated Sexy Jason, and that you were dropped on your head and thought you were a cat. Was the cop thing all before this? Your story just doesn't add up at any level. But if you feel the need to make up **** in order to prove me wrong, I guess you can just go ahead and do it. Whatever Kathy. I don't want to hear it. You're making an argument for no good reason as if it effects me. You, right now, are the least of my worries with what's going on in my life. If the best you can come up with is a lie about your life, then what do I have to worry about from you? It sounds to me like you just wanted sometime to talk about to me. You know why, because you can't relate to what what I and many people like me go through on daily basis. You may act like you understand, but you don't. Period.
So here we are Kathy, you want Zelda? you want to prove you still belong in the starlet's divison? You want to take that title to wherever you end up after this? Fine. That's all well and good, but you have to go through me to do it. You have to beat me in the ring. And I'm determined to make this, MY time. No more sitting around and letting the women who can't cut it, cut in front of me. I'm done being nice. I tried to be nice, I tried to pay you respect, and all I get is a bull**** story that no one either cares about, or believes in the first place. You've run out of excuses, run out of stories, run out of options. I am going to defeat you on Collision, and get my chance to beat Zelda. Have many shots have you had? Three? Four? And everytime, you've failed. Do you think getting this chance will be any different. Knites don't lost to Conways. I think that's the history.
You want to change history, Kathy? Again, you had your chance, and you took over the division that Zelda is now the champion of. But that's the best you can hope for. It's where you stop, Kathy. Me, I am good enough, talented enough to beat her if given the chance. You have never been good enough, and you had a chance when your were better than your are now. Everyone gets slowed down by time, and you are no different. Kathy, I'm going to beat you, because I know that even in defeat you can find something to do. You may think I'm cocky, or arrogant, or ignorant, but the truth of the matter is, you just fail to understand what I'm about.
You could never understand, you will never understand, because you aren't from around here. You aren't from New York. That's the state of mind I'm in right now. Walking into Collision and expected to beat your ass and gain my contendership to Zelda Knite's starlet's title. It's how New York does it. We do it big, we do it loud, and we don't put up with bull****. And right now, you're full of it. So I'll help you out by beating it out of you.

Jazz returns home to find Flash waiting for her.
Jazz:
Hey.
Flash:
Hey baby...
Jazz:
What's wrong?
Flash:
What's wrong? When did you become a wrestler?

Jazz:
What's wrong?
Flash:
What's wrong? When did you become a wrestler?
Jazz smiles at him.
Jazz:
I'm sorry. I guess I should have told you.
Flash:
Yeah, you got even more explaining to do.
Jazz:
I guess. So, the thing is, Todd helped me out.
Flash:

Jazz smiles and sighs.
Jazz:
You're right, he's not cool. He's a dork. But he did help me.
Flash:
Whatever.
Jazz:
I think if he hadn't convinced me to join NCW, I might have just stayed here, and who knows, I might be dead alongside Nina, then they would come for you when you got out.
Flash:
Never that.
Jazz:
I don't know. What I do know is I need a massage and a shower.
Flash:
C'mere Baby.
You're right, he's not cool. He's a dork. But he did help me.

Jazz sits on Flash's lap and they kiss a few times.
Jazz:
Seriously, I need to shower.
Flash:
I'm down for that.
Jazz:
No. Keep it in your pants for now. You smell good already anyway.
Flash:
Aight. You sweet talking me.
Jazz:
I know.
Seriously, I need to shower.
Flash:
I'm down for that.
Jazz:
No. Keep it in your pants for now. You smell good already anyway.
Flash:

Jazz:
I know.
Jazz gets up and goes to shower. Later, she comes back wearing some new clothes.
Flash:
Baby you smell so good right now.
Jazz:
I know.
Flash:
So, you okay, I saw you do some crazy **** in that match.
Jazz:
Nothing that won't heal.
Flash:
That's my girl. You know I was thinking about you everyday when I was locked up.
Jazz:
Thank you. But speaking of that, I think you need to tell me about it.
Flash:
You know it was hard. But I made it through. You know I'm a G.
Jazz:
Not that. I'm talking about that night.
Flash:
Oh.
Jazz:
I knew you didn't set Rahiem and Rodney up.
Flash:
Why would I?
Jazz:
They think you did.
Flash:
For real?
Jazz:
Yeah. It's why we're here now.
Flash:
Damn. That's ****ed up. I never thought Rodney would do that.
Baby you smell so good right now.

I know.

Jazz smiles to herself.
Jazz:
I knew it.
Flash:
Knew what?
Jazz:
Rodney did it, Didn't he?
Flash:
You know he did. He wanted control. Why you think he got away free as a bird, and I went to jail. Bitch-ass left me there.
Jazz:
I know. But Rodney's the only one who came back, and he said that you did it. Then that I did it.
Flash:
Then, we got some business to settle don't we.
Jazz:
We do. But not yet.
Flash:
Why not? We go pay him a visit and settle this.
Jazz:
Not yet I said.
Flash:
Why not? He drove us out here Baby!
Jazz:
This has to be handled delicately. He wanted war, and we've got bring war to him, and slowly, slowly take him down.
I knew it.

Flash:
How about a trip.
Jazz:
A trip?
Flash:
Back home.
Jazz:
You want to go home? I don't know about that.
Flash:
Nah, we can have my homecoming party. It'll be really civil.
Jazz:
That...that's good. We can observe, and plan.
Flash:
You really taken this seriously.
Jazz:
He tried to kill me Flash. You too.
Flash:
I know. But this is some "top secret super spy ****."
That's my girl.
