Lets skip the games...
Shall we?
I have no delusions of victory this week, Alex...
This match was not designed for either of us to win...
Winning was never really an option...
This match was designed to hurt you. To break you. To soften you up for our would be greatest world champion of all time...
This match was designed to end you...
And while I am honored to be given the opportunity to bring your last run in NCW to a grinding halt...
It saddens me as well...
We have known each other for a long time, Alex, nearly killed one another more times than I can even remember anymore. So I know what this match means to you. I know what that world title means to you at A Night to Remember...
I know what soundly defeating me on the last Collision means to you...
So I stand here, Alex, a man with nothing to lose, no reason to fight you other than the sheer joy of causing you pain, ready to face a man possessed. A man so full of rage and contempt he would do anything to accomplish his dream of finally becoming the World Champion...
Not just a world champion...
The final world champion...
The man who defeated the statistical best...
A man with everything to lose and so precious little to gain from beating me...
Besides your continued survival...
Take no offense by this, I mean none, it is simply the facts...
In the annuls of NCW I will always be thought of as better than you...
Two world title reigns...
Two Hall of Fame rings...
More wins against you than any other single opponent I have ever faced...
Quite simply, I have nothing left to prove against you Alex, nothing. At one time or another I have said all that needed to be said on the war between Angel and Alex Jones...
But you?
You have a lot to say on the subject...
You have a lot to prove...
Before you can ascend to the throne of NCW you need to go through one of, if not the most blood thirsty maniac this company has ever known. A man you have hated more than any other, respected more than any other and need to beat no more than ever...
You have to prove to yourself that for night you can be better...
For one night you can be the legend you claim to be...
You have to prove that to yourself. Not me. Deep down I have always seen the greatness that lies within you which is why I tried to hard to rip it from your flesh...
I had almost given up on you Alex but now I see the greatness shining through...
The cracks in the ego...
You are on the cusp of becoming something more than a man...
More than just a wrestler...
At a Night to Remember you have a chance to become Legend...
All you have to do is prove you deserve it one more time...
You have all the weapons you need Alex...
Now fight.

I knew this day was coming. It had to. It was inevitable. Eventually NCW would close, there was no way around it. It was too volatile. Too corrupt. The inmates have always run the asylum here and now the inmates just want to go home. It is truly sad to see a place that was home to so many beautiful nightmares close but all good things must eventually come to an end...
Besides, every end is another end's beginning.
"It's kind of crazy."
I look across the ring at one of the few men who can actually make me experience fear. Kyle Braddock. It has nothing to do with his size, more to do with his sheer lack of concern for his own personal well being. It is difficult to target a weakness when there is none.
Braddock breaths a little heavier now, his time away from the ring has weakened his frame slightly, but his will has never been stronger.
"What?"
"That NCW is closing, you don't think so?"
"Not especially."
He looks a little shocked but how can one honestly feel any differently?
"NCW has been run by the corrupt since the beginning, it's eventual failure was written in the stars."
"I suppose. It still sucks to see something you fought so hard for just close like that."
"I would say disappointing."
He nods at me as he moves out of his corner.
"I only have two more matches, I need to be ready."
"Then lets get you ready."
Kyle smirks a little bit as he slowly begins to dance around the ring. He hides it well but I know him well enough to know that even this small movement hurts him. Most things hurt him, but nothing hurts more than knowing he will not be wrestling on the final show for the company he killed himself for...
As our final sparing session of the day begins I say a silent prayer for my friend, my brother...
I promise myself that when I step into that ring I will not be doing it for petty selfish pleasure..
As much as I may enjoy the pain of others...
I promise myself that I will do it for those of us who cannot be there...
For Kyle...
And I pray for the strength to give everyone including the men who will stand across the ring from me, Alex and Spike, the final two men I will ever face in an NCW ring, I pray that they know I am not planning on walking out of that ring...
And neither should they.
No Mercy.
