EMF. One more time.
It feels great, me and Crystal on the same team this time so that rope in the grass Jasmine Barrera can’t turn her back on me again. EMF, the original Starlets tag team champions and one of the greatest female tag teams in the world today.... and...
You know what... I can’t really do this right now.
I wanted to go on this big long speech about how special this match was because of how special EMF was and all that cool junk, but every time I think of NCW closing I tear up and I don’t want to do that right now. I don’t want to think about life after NCW, or what to do when the company closes. I’ve put so much of my body into this company, into that ring, into the fans and when I think about how I left them for almost a year and how I lost so much time worrying about myself and not about this company I can’t help but feel a bit sad.
Me and Crystal get a chance to send NCW off with a great match and I don’t care if it is between my two opponents at A Night to Remember, because the closing of NCW means more than that to me. This really isn’t about me and Crystal’s high score, it’s about the legacy of this company, about the greatness of this organization. I don’t want to try and overshadow that with my own personal feelings, I did that once before and I’ve regretted it ever since. What I want to do is go out there and honor NCW and what made it so special. I want to go out there not as EMF representing EMF, I want to go out there as EMF paying tribute to NCW.
So that’s what I’m going to ask from Crystal and from our opponents. Lets not worry about what is going down between all of us, lets not focus on our feud and our upcoming fights at the pay per view, but lets focus on NCW and give the fans something awesome to take home with them, the memories of this company and what it fantastic to watch all these years.
Lets let that be all of our legends.
[Zelda and Cross walk along the streets of Dallas, Texas in front of the apartment building of her brother Adam Knite, hand in hand. Zelda stops and spins around in front of Cross and looks up at him smiling. Cross bends down and gives her a kiss on the forehead and tries to continue their walk, but Zelda refuses to budge and instead points at an inconspicuous ice cream van across the street.]
Zelda: “hey, lets go get some ice cream.”
XC: “I’ve never seen ice cream sold from the back of a windowless van before.”
Zelda: “They do it all the time around here. There was this old guy who used to give us candy as kids from the back of his van too when we were little... but then he got arrested because it was smuggled candy from Mexico.”
[Xavier cocks an eyebrow in confusion at this story.]
XC: “Z, I think that might have been a perv...”
Zelda: “No way. He was too sweet. Even if he did make us close our eyes before we could taste his newest lollipop.”
[Cross has a horrified expression on his face, but Zelda starts giggling wildly and leans in close to Cross, pressing her chest against his while looking up at him.]
Zelda: “I was joking. But I am going to go get some ice cream, ok? Do you want anything?”
XC: “You want me to come with you?”
Zelda: “I got it, I want to.”
XC: “Ok. I’ll take one of those Crunch bars then, I’ll see you inside?”
Zelda: “I’ll be right there.”
[The two share a quick kiss as before Cross slowly walks away holding her hand, letting it slowly slip from his grasp as she giggles at his act of cuteness. When Cross heads into the building, Zelda spins around and scowls at the van. With heavy steps she walks to the van and begins pounding on the sliding door.]
Zelda: “Simon open this door now!”
Voice: “No habla ingles senior.”
Zelda: “SIMON! NOW!”
[The door slowly slides open and just as she expected Simon Daye behind the other side. She lifts her hand like she’s about to slap him, but instead brings it down and instead bites her lip and angrily points at him in disgust.]
Zelda: “What do you think you’re doing!?”
Simon: “How did you know it was me in here?”
Zelda: “Do you think I’m stupid Simon!? Do you think that little of me now that you would think I had no idea that it was you in this ridiculous disguise?!”
Simon: “No... It’s not like that. I just figured...”
Zelda: “Simon I moved away to get away from you, so I could live a normal life so would you please stop this!?”
Simon: “I was just making sure that you and him weren’t doing anything...”
Zelda: “he’s my boyfriend now Simon, we can do whatever we want together, heck we could anyway, you and I are broken up.”
Simon: “Oh come on, we both know he’s just a transitional boyfriend.”
Zelda: “Simon. Please leave. Right now.”
Simon: “I can’t do that.”
Zelda: “Then I want you to do me a favor.”
Simon: “shoot.”
Zelda: “If you insist on being here watching... then I’m going to give you a show, because Adam and Kelly aren’t home. I want you to pay attention to my bedroom window in about five minutes, I’m going to leave the blinds open.”
[Simon’s eyes go wide in shock, and a bit of terror.]
Simon: “Wh... what? You’re not goin to... are you?”
[Zelda winks at Simon, flips her her and spins around leaving him there as she heads towards the front door of the apartment building. Simon jumps out of the van but it’s too late.]
------2 Minutes Later------
[Zelda bursts into the front door, Xavier Cross is standing in front of the TV switching through channels before he turns around and smiles at her, but he seems confused by the lack of ice cream.]
XC: “What’s the crunch bar?”
Zelda: “I got something better...”
[Zelda throws her arms onto Cross’s shirt coller and pulls him towards her where they begin to passionately kiss. Zelda turns him around and begins pushing him backwards through her bedroom door and onto the bed, she pulls the buton up shirt apart and then stands up over him as he lays on the bed.]
XC: “Are you sure about this?”
[Zelda looks out the window quickly at the Ice Cream van, she smiles, turns to look at Cross agian, and pulls her shirt over her head. She walks forwards and sits on top of Cross straddling him and the two kiss again.]
XC: “I thought you made everybody wait?”
Zelda: “I’ve waited long enough.”
[Before we fade to static, we go back to Simon sitting in his van, shutting the top of his computer and cutting the feed, refusing to watch. We then fade out to blackness.]
I do feel like I’m losing a part of me.
This is the final NCW Collision.
I don’t know if that has really sunk in yet.
But whatever comes, I can’t worry about it. It’s like a video game. I can’t sit back and start worrying about the final boss on stage 3, I have to worry about the giant fire breathing dragon on stage 3, you know what I mean? This match is stage 3 is what I’m saying here. Jasmine... Kathy. I’ve fought you both, I’ve been in the ring with both of you what feels like a lot of times now and I know that we can give NCW one heck of a final Starlets Tag Team match. I know we can really push this to the limits so I say... we do that.
Who cares that we have a title match the next week? Lets go out there and give this an epic battle for all to see anyway.
I know that’s what Crystal wants to do and I’m telling you that’s what I want. I’m going to give this match all I have, i’m going to put all my heart and soul into this because NCW means so much to me, because NCW means more than titles and victories to me.
NCW gave a skinny little teenage girl a chance to be a superstar in the entertainment business, when NCW saw my success they rode it and put me in the forefront of their promotion and made me a symbol of the company. They put faith in me to carry this company to new heights when they didn’t have to. What other federation on this Earth would take a tiny teenager and maker her a symbol of what their company stands for?
That’s why I want to make this last Collision match epic. That’s why I want this to be special... even more special.
Without NCW... there was no “legend of Zelda”, without NCW I don’t know where I’d be and with or without you I’m going to make this the greatest women’s match this company has ever seen.
NCW might be goon soon, but in my heart... NCW will always have the high score..
no matter what.
