After Collision...
The scene starts in the trainers office. Two EMT are sitting behind El Dragon de Valor with tweezers, pulling slivers of glass out of his back. His arms tremble as he sits patiently.
Dragon: Como friagas. What have you done mi amigo? What have I unleashed?
Today
Dragon sits on his couch in the Internationals mansion. His ribs are taped up. Kesuke brings him some tea.
Dragon: I don't understand Kesuke, I know I wronged Bushido, and I've begged forgiveness. But we are like brothers, how can he be this angry, this violent towards me. Neither he nor Miranda will take my calls. When Bushido returned to help me, I was ecstatic! I thought we were back together again, that missing piece of my soul felt like it was back again. Then he knocked me down and left me. I understand that, I deserved that and probably a little more for what I did to us. But I was still willing to work things out. I saw him last Sunday and tried to talk to him, but he looked like a crazed animal when he set his sites on me. He looked like that dangerous beast he once was in the old days of his career in Japan before I found him and saved him from a life of barbwire electrified death matches or whatever they were. But it looked like it was all back in his mind.
Dragon looks at Kesuke with a sadness in his eyes.
Dragon: And that hurt me more than the glass ever could.
Dragon lowers his head.
Later that day.
Dragon is training in his gym when he sees the camera.
Dragon: Ah, hello there. Just getting ready for the big match. Getting thrown right in with the big dogs again I suppose. Well, it's a heck of a jam I'm in. I team with my partner Bushido, whom does not like me right now. And after him introducing me to that window, I'm not too caliente on him either. For the honor of wrestling and the legend of our tag team that I take full responsibility for ruining, I will do my best to work as a team with Bushido, but I will not go out of my way to help him.
Dragon shakes his head.
Dragon: As for Team America, I should dislike them for defeating us, and for putting our title reign to shame. But how can I? The Internationals created a tournament to find the best tag team to face us, and we did. We ended up finding one of the greatest tag teams of all time. Team America has done well, I'm proud of them, and I'm honored to team with them. I'm ready to take it to the limit with them by my side.
Dragon tightens his fists.
Dragon: Which brings me to the opponents. InFamous was a great team that I did not get to see too much of in person before they seperated, but Rob and Steve are both top talents and I know my work is cut out for me with just those two. Add Will and Xavier to the mix and that is one well stacked four man team. Our only savimg grace is that they too have their own internal turmoil. I will bring my best, I wil do my best. I will prove that I can hang with the best of them. And if Bushido steps out of line, I will do something about it.
The scene fades.
