OOC note - Might be a bit confusing when you get to the part with Tony talking to Chad Lights, the ----- simply means something else is going on as the interview takes place. So we are switching scenes almost. Enjoy
[orange]Jack: And so the time has come for me to rise up from the ashes, break this wall imprisoning me, and do what needs to be done. I will unleash myself upon the nCw world and those rodents won’t know what hit them. Be it Steve Awesome, The Ace, Milo Holland, Sexy Jason, or even Spike Kane. They’re all rodents to me, but not to him. He respects some of these people he calls comrades. To me they’re just victims that will have to face me, not Manson, in the ring sooner or later. And they will all suffer. But first things first.[/orange]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::A snow white coloured 2005 Saleen S7 speeds along the open roads, headlights on full beam as they cut through the darkness like a knife. The road is empty and it would be a perfect night for a drive if not for the rain that has started up again since the storm passed not too long ago. The rain patters against the roof of the car like hungry crows pecking to get to the meal inside. Inside this beauty of a machine is Manson, his mind is racing erratically, subconsciously coming out in his driving as he swerves left and right along the open stretch::
[orange]Jack: You can’t escape me you know, it’s gonna happen. Remember that fortune teller predicted it not too long ago. You can’t fight it this time. I’ve had enough of you and your attitude, it’s time to take it to the next level.[/orange]
[red]JM: Hmph, we’ll see about that. I’m in control, there’s nothing you can do. I won’t let you.[/red]
[orange]Jack: Ha, I was hoping you’d say that.[/orange]
::Manson’s foot presses down harder on the accelerator and the car speeds up::
[red]JM: That it? Making me speed is tame compared to what you’ve done before. Looks like you’re the one that’s lost the edge.[/red]
::Manson keeps a stern eye on the road and a look of concentration over comes him. The car slows down once again as he gains control::
[red]JM: See, I told you.[/red]
::Without warning his foot hit’s the breaks and the car skids uncontrollably on the flooded road. An ear shattering screech breaks the silence of the night as the car comes to a halt in the middle of the road. The engine dies::
[red]JM: The hell did you do that for? Stop this right now.[/red]
[orange]Jack: Or what Jack? Huh? Come on, there’s nothing you can do to stop ME![/orange]
::Jack feels a sharp pain in his head and leans forward, clenching his teeth from the pain as he grasps at his head::
[orange]Jack: All I ask, is that you give me this match. I want to take this Awesome guy down. You’ll end up going easy on him, and it’ll cost you the match.[/orange]
[red]JM: N.. No, It’s not gonna… Happen.[/red]
::The pain becomes stronger and Manson shouts out in pain. He hits his clenched fists off the steering wheel and tries to fight the pain::
[orange]Jack: Trust me. Before that terrible Kane incident remember what we achieved. If it wasn’t for my guidance you wouldn’t of become the first National champion. You would have been just another Steve Awesome, or Trent Helms, and you would probably be one of those in the mid-card uprising too. If it wasn’t for me you wouldn’t be where you are now.[/orange]
[red]JM: I didn’t need your help, you forced it on me. I would’ve done fine on my own.[/red]
[orange]Jack: Like you’re doing now eh? Admit you’ve lost the edge and I’ll stop the pain. Then we can talk.[/orange]
::The pulsating pain intensifies and Jack fumbles at the door handle. He opens it and stumbles out into the cold rain. It instantly soaks him as he tries to gain composure. Jack grasps at his head again, mumbling in pain as he falls round the car and near the bonnet::
[red]JM: You can’t do this to me again. I… Won’t… Let… You![/red]
[orange]Jack: You don’t have a choice in the matter![/orange]
::Jack slams his fists onto the bonnet and the water flies up from the surface, soaking him more. He falls away from the car and walks slowly on. It’s a good thing there are cops about because Jack could easily get mistaken for drink driving right now::
[orange]Jack: Come on kid, think of the pain I can inflict on Steve Awesome. Think of what we can do together to him. He thinks he’s the top boy here, that he’s gonna walk out there as champion, we’ll remind him that things don’t work like that with us. If he wants that title he’ll have to go through both of us.[/orange]
[red]JM: I… I know what you’re planning… I can’t let you back in this world. You’re too… Dangerous.[/red]
[orange]Jack: ISN’T THAT WHAT IS EXPECTED OF THE NEW FACE OF ULTRA-VIOLENCE? OF THE MANIAC?[/orange]
[red]JM: May… Maybe?[/red]
[orange]Jack: Jesus, you don’t even know it yourself. You’re minds in two places, three if you count me in there. How can you be a success if you don’t know what you want? Do you think Spike Kane gave a rats ass over what happened to your dad when he kidnapped him? No, he doesn’t need a person like me to encourage ruthless aggression. He did it because he has what it takes to win. If he ends some ones career, he’ll think it over for a moment and then move on to the next person. You need that kind of attitude to keep your spot in this industry, otherwise you’ll be where Trent and his boys are. Obscurity.[/orange]
::Jack falls to his knees, his arms fall by his sides lifelessly as he tilts his head up to the sky. The rain washes over his face, getting into his eyes and other orifices, but he isn’t phased. He knows that he can’t trust this thing in his head, he knows the danger and chaos it can bring::
[red]JM: Spike does what he does, we all have different approaches to get what we want. Whether it’s underhand tactics that peole like Spike and The Ace have used in the past, or whether it’s fighting fairly like I’ve tried to do every time. I haven’t lost the edge, and you are NOT getting control.[/red]
[orange]Jack: Pity.[/orange]
::The pain stops as quickly as it started and Manson feels the relief. He breathes heavily, knowing he has won. He stands up and begins to laugh. The laughter soon grows louder, and more uncontrollable. But it soon stops. The air is suddenly pulled out from his lungs and he is gasping for breath like a fish out of water. He holds his throat and tries to breath but can‘t. He falls to the ground once again and his eyes roll back. He falls to the ground and his head smacks off the pavement as he lands in a heap. Manson lies there lifeless as the rain continues to pour down upon him::
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey, he’s coming round. Quick, fetch a doctor.
::Jack opens his eyes slowly, the bright lights hurting as he squints and takes in his surroundings. He looks around and sees two nurses and his manager, Tony. He realises he’s in a hospital room. Everything seems peaceful, until that peace is broken by a splitting headache. He groans softly::
[blue]T: Hey, you okay kid?[/blue]
[red]JM: I…What happened?[/red]
::Jack tries to sit up but Tony quickly stops him and tells him to relax::
[blue]T: Cops found you about six miles away, unconscious and on the floor. You must of fainted or something. You hit your head on the road, might be suffering from concussion.[/blue]
[red]JM: I don’t remember any of this.[/red]
[blue]T: Of course you don’t. Listen, I’ve gotta head off, the doctor is on his way. I’ll stop by in a few hours and make sure you’re okay to compete this Sunday still.[/blue]
::Tony whispers something to one of the nurses and nods towards Manson before leaving the room. The nurse walks over to him::
You need to rest up now Mr. Manson. Take it easy and get some rest.
::The doctor arrives in the room and explains what happened. Jack listens intently. The two nurses head out the room and Jack watches them leave::
[red]JM: Tell me, will I be able to compete this Sunday?[/red]
[green]Dr: It’s touch and go at the moment, you took a hard hit. We’d like to keep you in over night and see how you’re feeling in the morning.[/green]
[red]JM: Okay, no problem.[/red]
::The doctor walks out the room and Manson closes his eyes. His mouth soon begins to form a smile as he opens his eyes. There’s a look in his eye that hasn’t been seen in a very long time. He looks out the window::
[orange]Jack: Oh I’ll be competing on Sunday, mark my words… Doc.[/orange]
::Jack chuckles to himself as the scene fades to black::
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[teal]CL: Ladies and gentlemen I am here with the manager of Jack Manson. We’re bringing you a special report after rumours that Manson may not be able to compete this Sunday after having a fall. Tony, what can you tell us?[/teal]
[blue]T: I can confirm that my client did indeed suffer a fall and has been to the hospital for tests.[/blue]
[teal]CL: Have you got the results back yet? Will Manson be able to compete in the match?[/teal]
[blue]T: Well the doctor has given the all clear for Jack to compete, but he doesn’t advise it.[/blue]
[teal]CL: What about yourself? Do you think Manson should be competing?[/teal]
[blue]T: It doesn’t matter what I think Chad, Manson has a job to do and he knows it. He’s a professional and will compete when he has to. And he knows that on Sunday, he has to. Things need to be put right, and Jack will be there to do it.[/blue]
[teal]CL: It’s good to know that Jack is in the right state of mind to compete.[/teal]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Jack grabs the doctor by his throat and pushes him hard against the wall, a violent look on his face::
[orange]Jack: What the hell do you mean I shouldn’t compete? Do you know who I am? What I stand for? I stand for pain, violence, blood, and death. And on Sunday I have a chance to inflict all of them upon one man. And now you’re saying I shouldn’t?[/orange]
::The doctor tries to loosen Jacks grip from his throat, but instead it tightens. The doctor tries hard to breath, but Manson’s fist is crushing his wind pipe::
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[teal]CL: And does he feel okay in himself to compete? Have you spoken to him?[/teal]
[blue]T: I have, and I’m happy to say that Jack is like a new man. He’s really looking forward to this match. He’s had a rough few weeks with Awesome and has been on a downward spiral but he’s determined that it’ll change this Sunday by defeating Awesome.[/blue]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Manson storms out the hospital fully dressed and looks around. It’s almost as if he has never been here before, like he is lost::
[orange]Jack: I know you can see and hear me Awesome. I’d like to introduce myself. I’m the other half of Jack Manson you haven’t faced before. In fact, you won’t have faced anyone like me before. I’m something else, a different class.[/orange]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[teal]CL: Okay, thanks to you Tony for giving us this update, we can now put the rumours to rest that Manson has pulled out the match in fear of losing his title.[/teal]
[blue]T: When have you ever know Manson to do that? Exactly.[/blue]
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::Manson is walking down a quiet street. Not many people are around as he walks on::
[orange]Jack: See Steve, I’ve watched you through the eyes of Manson. Unlike some people I know what you can do, what you’re all about. Ignorance is bliss to people like Manson and Ortega, that’s why you all decided to show them what you can all do, right? And I appreciate that, I respect that. But there’s one thing you need to understand Steve, this Sunday I will be the one you have to face. You’re stepping inside that ring with a true competitor, not someone who holds back, but someone who goes all out. And I know deep down you’ll appreciate that, you’ll enjoy the challenge. You don’t see Jack Manson as a challenge, we all know that, you never shut up about it. You’ll have a challenge with me though. Do you think you have what it takes to make me bleed Steve? Do you reckon you’ll put me out of action before I end your career?[/orange]
::Jack smiles as he walks on, the wind blowing his coat behind him::
[orange]Jack: Oh that’s right Steve, I’m going out there with the intent to end your career. Silly little things like a pin fall or first to bleed don’t interest me. I want to break you mentally and physically. I want to smash your face repeatedly with a steel chair until you’re only recognisable by your dental records. I want to crush every bone in your body until you’re a human pâté smeared across the bread that is the ring. What can you do to stop a man who thinks like that Steve? What will you do to stop me? Do you honestly think your abs of steel will stop a hard shot of a 2x4 wrapped in barbed wire? Will your body be able to withstand the pressure as you suffer more and more and more and more blows to your limbs?[/orange]
::Manson turns a corner as he walks on, destination unknown::
[orange]Jack: There is an easy answer to these questions Steve, and I doubt you, with your good looks and chiselled body, has a brain to answer them yourself so I’ll tell you shall I?[/orange]
::Manson stops still in the street::
[orange]JM: You can’t. There is no stopping me. Like mother nature I am unstoppable. Can you stop a tsunami? A hurricane, a gale force wind? There is no stopping things like that. You are going up against a force unknown this Sunday. And honestly, although you have what it takes to be National champion, it ain’t gonna be whilst I’m holding the belt.[/orange]
::Manson continues walking::
[orange]Jack: I’m simply dying to go head to head with the self-appointed Dragon of Vengeance this Sunday, how long did it take you to come up with that one Steve? A few hours I imagine. You don’t look back at the destruction you create? Why not? Do you not pride yourself in hurting people like I do? I live for it, nothing beats it Steve. It’s better than sex. Stopping once in a while to take a look around you can make all the difference. It’s my own personal war zone and I love it. Carnage rules and there’s simply no other place like it. Seeing people battered and bruised, out of action, and all done by me. I tell you, if I were to die now I’d die a happy man.
And another thing I’ve noticed Steve, you’ve been awfully quiet since you waited in line, having random guys stroke your ego about your past achievements. What’s wrong? Jack got your tongue? But you’re right, past accomplishments mean squat here. Sure you’ve held titles and main evented pay per views. But you stated you’ve done better than Manson in past feds, well maybe you have. But those two measly months apiece amount to more than anything you’ve done in the here and now. Remember that Steve, let it sink in. You have achieved nothing since you arrived through those doors. My dear friend Jack said it himself, anyone can become a number one contender to a title.
Well congratulations kid. A shot at MY title, not yours. I’ve been counting down the days for this match, and when it was announced it was a first blood match I simply couldn’t allow Jack to fall from grace, I knew I had to take over for our sake. I know I won’t be around for long. Even now Manson is fighting for control. But he’s feeding my burning hatred to end you. When all is said and done I may just let the Jack you know come back. But for now, the Maniac is back in town.[/orange]
::Jack begins to laugh maniacally as he carries on down the street. The scene fades to black::
