( We begin inside. A loud rain storm can be heard. Thunder, lighting, all the good stuff. We're looking around for our Dark Hero, Angel. But all we see are pews. Then it dawns on you, we are in a church. We look up to see the crucifix, Jesus looking down on us. There, at his feet, Angel prays. Angel is wearing a long dark coat. Not exactly a trench coat, more of a leather pea coat. Shelly is no where to be seen at the moment. Angel can be heard praying as we get closer. )
Angel: In the name of the father, son, and holy ghost... Amen... I know your back there, watching me. Probably wondering why I'm in a church. It's my old stand by you know? When I run out of ideas, I come here. I look up at our lord, and I pray. I don't know what I pray for, I just do. The names Angel, so I suppose I have too. However, this time I was praying for strength. Not the strength to beat Falcon, that I know I have. The strength to survive, to carry on. After all, what does a villain do when he finally defeats the hero? I have some ideas, but our lord will point me in the right direction.
( Angel stands up and turns around. He stretches out his arms, and we can see he is wearing a black button up, and black cargo pants, with black boots. Angel walks over to the podium, and then down the handful of steps. He walks in between the aisle, and towards the back of the church. He dips his fingers in the holy water, and makes the sign of the cross. )
Angel: Falcon... Do you believe in God? I never asked you before. I know I've made fun of you, and called you a atheist, or pagan, or whatever. But seriously, do you? I would have to think that you do. After everything you've been through. What you put your body through. The way you've managed to come back from every injury, stronger, faster, and better than ever. I would think that would make you believe in God. I have something to tell you Falcon. Something you may or may not care to listen too. You are one of God's chosen. What does that mean? It means he made you for a reason. He made you as a symbol for the people. The sheep, the fans see you, see what you do, and they hope to do what you do. They see you make come backs, and always be the under dog, the victorious under dog... They idolize you. You give them hope. That makes you one of the chosen. I guess it's confusing that I would want to rid the world of one of God's chosen, but to me it isn't.
( Angel walks away from the water, and goes to the doors. He opens them up and steps out into the rain. He walks down the steps and onto the side walk. It's very dark outside, but it is now obvious that we are in Thomaston, CT. The church is St. Thomas. It was too dark inside to really tell. Angel is just standing in the rain. )
Angel: God made you beautiful Falcon. God truly made you in his image. Which is why I must destroy you, corrupt you, and totally obliterate you. If it makes this easier, think of everything that has happened as if it were the trials of Job. I'm sure you know that story. The Devil bet God that if he took away everything Job cherished in his life, that his faith would falter, and Job would become just another sinner. If it helps, read that story, because that's almost what this is for me. Your too perfect Falcon. Too Saintly. That is why I must make you into me. I was once just like you... Which is why I hate you. I know, I've said that, but it needed to be said again. I don't know what it is about you. No matter what happens to you, you remain the same. You never let the beatings wear you out. You never back down. Your never afraid, or worried. And all you ever want is to get into the ring one more time and show the world what you can do. Titles and personal glory mean nothing to you. This feud doesn't even mean to you what it means to me. You want to give the fans a good match. Maybe you care about winning. I know this. You want to fight me so bad because we put on such an amazing match. You want to fight me for the challenge. There is nothing selfish about you. I can't stand that. God made me what I am. He made me brutal so I could teach his lessons well. So I can show everyone I face why they should believe in our lord and savior. He made it so I could spread his message far and wide, and never let anything get in my way. I never do either. But I can't help what he made me.
( Angel begins to walk now, down the side walk. He is going down a small incline, towards a bridge, which is under construction. Angel reaches the bridge and looks over. About a hundred feet down there is a small stream, Angel looks over the edge into the water as it rushes past. )
Angel: God gave me my many gifts, but with these gifts and experience, I have become selfish, prideful, and even a bit envious. Hard to believe I know. You take nothing for granted, I take everything for granted. Falcon you squander what God has given you, while I use it to go to the very top of the company. You would be content wrestling once a month on Wired. Where as I will not stop until I dominate the main event. Even in PWW you were content with whatever you were given. You had the longest title reign in the history of PWW, with the Cruiser Weight title, but never once did you mention that. I've never even heard you bring it up as a matter of fact. It's like it didn't even matter to you. That's the kind of person you are. That is something I will change. You may walk away from this match Falcon, but you will not walk away the same. Neither of us will.
( Angel jumps up onto of the concrete barrier. He sits down on it, continuing to look down into the water. The rain is finally starting to let up. Angel looks strait up into the sky, then turns his head towards the camera. )
Angel: You were wrong about one thing Falcon. This will be over for me after this match. I may be petty, vain, and selfish, but at the end of the day I don't care how many times I beat you. This isn't just about proving that I'm better than you. I don't need to have more wins over you. All I need is one. All I want is one. I'm sure we'll met down the road again, another match somewhere. Beating you once is all I need. I told you Falcon, your like Job to me. I must strip away everything you cherish. Perhaps this is where we differ. Perhaps you need to prove your better than me. Perhaps you need to have more wins over me than I do over you. So far, your winning.. 1 and 0 against me. But perhaps it's you who won't be able to live with 1 and 1 against me. I can. I've lost plenty of times, earlier on in my career. I never have made it my mission to track down and destroy those who beat me time and again. I've beaten them all once, somewhere along the way. Besides all that. I always come out on top. Something I think you know very well. And something I think you should perhaps keep in mind walking into Sunday. May God have Mercy on your Soul.
( Angel stands up on top of the barrier again. He looks down into the water, as if he were thinking about jumping. I think it's highly unlikely that he'll jump, but hey, crazier things have happened. Angel gets down off the barrier. His Acura RDX pulls up next to him. Shelly is driving. The two have a long kiss through the window, before Angel walks around to the passenger side. He gets in, and the two begin to drive away as the rain slowly stops... )
