We see Xavier in his home in Atlanta, he is watching a tape of the recent nCw event, he leans back on the couch and he looks into the sky, he stares at the ceiling, watching the fan spin, every rotation, is another second. He stops the tape after the match with Angel and Taft... well mostly Angel. He stops the tape and he begins to think to himself..
"So many times, I have come close, only to be shut down at the front door. So many times i have came close to crossing the threshold and proving that I will become something in this company. And to know that you are right there, you can almost smell it. It is at your fingertips and when you make that final lung it slips away from your grasp, forcing you to fight and struggle and claw your way back to it. But you see... the others, they now nothing of it, they know nothing of the grind, the struggle it takes to make your name in someplace new... it is almost like, being new again"
X snaps out of his daydreamlike state. And he gets up from the couch and turns off his TV. He walks over to the radio and clicks it on, he flips through some channcels, an ad for nCw Crossroads PPV comes on, he clicks the radio off IMMEDIATLY! He walks out on the back patio and sits down on one of the deck chairs
Heh, I didnt even make it, to the actual card... hell Reckless Jack is fighting a janitor and THAT made it... yeah whatever. So it seems that I need to send a louder message to these people, it seems that I need to send a message... how will I, you ask? By completly dismantling our resident, "Enforcer of Sorrow"... or resident Emo kid, whatever you want to call him. For th elast few days I had to sit here and just think... and wait... and just breath in all that is happening to me. To really get a chance to just re-evaluate myself and see where i am. I am at the bottom, that's about it. And i need to change that, I feel that at Crossroads... I do that. I need to show that everything I done in my career was no mere fluke. That is actually holds merit. And it begins here, before, it was child's play, but no it is serious, now is the time to buckle down and get ready to kick some ass all around the arena to do so and just get the chance of becoming something great, to climb up that ladder... but I am not just gonna walk by, no... I am going to be throwing mother****ers off one by one until there is nothing left...
X, leans back on the patio chair as he looks out into the city, it is a chilly day, the sun is setting and the shadows are cast on the city. He looks over his shoulder and he sees a little boy run up to him...
Boy: Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!
What? What? What?
Boy: Look what I made in school today...
He hands him a poster and it has a kiddy drawing of what is supposed to be him, his father and his mother (It's a seven year old... you know what it's like) And Xavier lets a smile come over his face...
Looks nice son, you know? Wy dont you go inside and show your mother and when I'm done, we'll go and hang it up on your wall, okay?
Boy: Yeah. Mommy! Mommy!
He runs inside and X chuckles a bit to himself he leans back on his chair as he continues to stare out into the city
He doesnt know yet. he doesnt know, that daddy has to get into a mental state when preparing for his matches, that he needs to seperate himself from himself, before he walks through the ropes. The match began for me, the second I saw who I was facing. Nothing but train and get prepared, that is what my schedule said for me, to train and completly bust my ass and br prepared for this match.
Why put so much in one match?
It takes one... one match can mean the difference between great sucess and great failure. It all depends on how you embrass that moment.
X gets up from the table and walks into his home he walks around, and stops at the living area, he picks up his bottle of water and takes a drink, he walks around his homesome more, trying to get his mind right
"You just need to erase everything that happened to you so far and you need to look forward. A Warriro's Worth is mesaured in his heart and the will to go on. To sit here and well on past losses will only mean that your opponents have gained the mental victory. You need to take this time and prepare for your opponent"
X walks toward the door, he grabs his Killswitch Engage hoodie and walks out of the door, before he closes it, he is stopped
Woman: Honey?
Yes, Lisa?
Woman: Where are you going, it's getting late, and it is going to be below freezing?
*quietly*It is time for me to step away and prepare
X closes the door behind him as his wife walks down the steps, she is wearing a red silk robe as his son, Eric follows her
Eric: Where is daddy going?
Lisa: *pauses*... he is getting ready, Im sure he will be back before he leaves for his match... Im sure...
The camera goes to his window as we know end with seeing X walk down the street, his back toward the house....
