::The scene opens up centred on an nCw backdrop. The camera slowly pans out and reveals Chad Light sat with Jack Manson and his manager, Tony, on a brown leather sofa. Chad is sat holding a microphone and wears a black nCw t-shirt and black jeans. Manson is sat by his side wearing a black Nike vest and white three-quarter length shorts. Just coming back off the loss he suffered at Collision Manson looks rather at peace.
[green]CL: Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another nCw web show. I’m sat here with Jack Manson. Jack, welcome.[/green]
[red]JM: As always Chad it’s great to be here.[/red]
[green]CL: Last night the nCw faithful witnessed you suffer your first defeat in the company. Albeit it was due to interference and miscalculations, but a loss is a loss. How do you feel today having had the time to re-assess your goals and ambitions now?[/green]
[red]JM: What can I say Chad? You’re right. A loss is a loss regardless of how it happened. Whether it’s by a straight down the line competitive match, or from a badly timed shot from interference. Alas, my dreams of becoming the first nCw champion must now be put on the back burner. Last night was unfortunate.[/red]
[green]CL: So would you say the better man won?[/green]
[red]JM: No. Otherwise it would have been me in the final. Davey Ortega did indeed get the pin count over me. But I was the better man in that match. You know it, the fans know it, the management knows it, hell… Even Ortega knows it. [/red]
[green]CL: So, one goal has been subdued for now. But last night after the events that unfolded. New general manager Ruston Bourne, made it so that you would face The Burning for the vacant nCw National title. Surely that means something to you? [/green]
[red]JM: Yes. The powers that be think they are making up for their mistakes that cost me my match. Pitting me in a so called grudge match against the man who, some people are saying, screwed me out of that final. My thoughts don’t run the same path. There will be no grudge match. I don’t hold a grudge against the Burning for what happened. He did what he had to do. Ortega was present at his match and caused confusion and disarray, giving Ryan the upper hand he needed. The Burning was stupid enough to take his eyes off Lance. Management need to understand that this final has been tainted from last nights events. The true final should be Jack Manson against the Burning for the world title. Instead I am competing for some second rate title.[/red]
[green]CL: Wouldn’t you like to be crowned the first ever nCw National champion?[/green]
[blue]T: You heard my boy. It’s a second rate title to us. Jack, I value your thoughts and opinions but I agree with the general consensus saying you were screwed. What the hell was the Burning doing coming down at ringside? We don’t need that kind of distraction. Him and Kelly Fox have issues with each other. The main event was not the place to try and sort them out. This match will indeed be a grudge match. It’s just a shame it’s a no holds barred match. My boy here is inhibited by rules and regulations in the ring.[/blue]
[red]JM: Calm down Tony. Rules are there for a reason. If rules weren’t there then we would have the same stuff happening every week like last night. I’ve always said I don’t dwell on things that happen in the ring. I lost. Plain and simple. Now I’ll pick myself up and move on to the next challenge. The National title.[/red]
[green]CL: But you said it was a second rate title.[/green]
[red]JM: It is. That’s not to say I wouldn’t want to be champion. Gold is gold. I will give that title recognition. When I become National champion it will become more prestigious than the world title.[/red]
[blue]T: Ain’t that the truth.[/blue]
[green]CL: Do you have any words for your opponent?[/green]
[red]JM: Only to make sure he is focussed on me and not on Kelly Fox. He allows her to be a distraction by retaliating to her claims. Calling him boring in his matches etcetera. Why does he allow her to get under his skin like that? It’s not the school yard here. Until this is sorted he won’t be totally focussed on the match. And I can’t allow that. I want him to be a hundred and ten percent ready for this title match. I will NOT allow a repeat of last night. In fact, I want to say this to Ruston Bourne, since he is the new GM. First welcome to the nCw, I hope you can keep things like last night from happening in future. Secondly, I want you to slap a ban on Kelly Fox and anyone else for that matter, from ringside in my match at Road To The Gold. Who will call the match with Eric Hardy? I don’t care. Get some washed up past nCw legend, resurrect my grandmother from the dead. I don’t care. I do not want Kelly Fox interfering in the match and causing distractions. [/red]
[blue]T: I agree. She has caused enough trouble the last few weeks and it needs to stop. Daughter of the head honcho or not. Ruston Bourne grant this request and you will have a match for the record books on your hands. [/blue]
[green]CL: You guys better be careful about what you say regarding miss Fox. She’s new member of The Empire. And with Davey Ortega leading the new revolution and sticking by her, he might put you on his list.[/green]
[red]JM: Ah yes, the threat Ortega gave to people who slate Kelly Fox. And his new stable. The Empire. I don’t take too kindly to his threats. Miss Fox has slandered me once or twice in the past but unlike the Burning I refused to let her grind on me, not like other’s or so I’ve heard, if you know what I mean.[/red]
[green]CL: Careful what you say Jack.[/green]
[blue]T: Chad shut the hell up. We don’t fear The Empire. Some tit with a Caesar complex wants to bring about a new age in the nCw? Let him. We don’t fear The Empire. And we won’t fear it despite how big it grows. If needed I will recruit some people of my own and we will fight The Empire together. United we will stand.[/blue]
[red]JM: Now, now Tony, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Indeed we do not fear The Empire. But that doesn’t mean I will need to ask for help from anyone else. Nobody has shown me they are worthy to be on the same team as me. Not yet anyway.[/red]
[green]CL: Well it’s going to be interesting to see what The Empire’s purpose will be and who the second member will be. Ortega said he will announce the second member after the pay per view. Rumours will no doubt be spreading like wildfire from this news.[/green]
[red]JM: Yes, the nCw faithful will be going crazy won’t they. I am also interested in seeing who the second member will be. But more important things have got my attention at the moment.[/red]
[green]CL: Are you talking about your match against the Burning?[/green]
[red]JM: No, I’m talking about my laundry. See even laundry is more important than The Empire to me.[/red]
[green]CL: I sense a note of sarcasm there Manson.[/green]
[blue]T: There wasn’t any sarcasm fool. Didn’t you hear him? The Empire isn’t important at the moment. Now are you done Chad? We’ve got some stuff to take care of.[/blue]
[green]CL: Er yeah, sure. Jack Manson, thank you for your time today. Hopefully it won’t be the last time we hear from you before your match next week.[/green]
[red]JM: No it won’t be Chad. You can count your bottom dollar on that. Thanks again.[/red]
::Manson and Tony walk off the set and head to the parking lot::
[blue]T: Man I don’t know why we waste our time doing these interviews all the time Jack. We could do so much more to improve your game instead of doing this.[/blue]
[red]JM: It’s mandatory unfortunately Tony. Besides, I’m warming more to the idea of speaking my mind. And a little bit of mind games doesn’t hurt either.[/red]
[blue]T: Only if you play them right. Could work against you.[/blue]
[red]JM: I know, I know. You go on ahead I’ve got to go to the hotel and sort my things out for the plane.[/red]
[blue]T: Okay I’ll catch you later.[/blue]
::Manson and Tony go there separate ways. Tony climbs into his car and starts the engine before taking off down the road. Manson watches him vanish round a corner. The warm breeze tickles softly across his face and through his hair. He breathes in the fresh air and exhales it, taking in the whole atmosphere. He hears some commotion behind him and turns around::
[purple]Kid: Hey Manson, can I get your autograph please?[/purple]
::He sees a young kid holding out a pen and piece of paper. He takes the pen and paper::
[red]JM: Sure, no problem. Who’s it to?[/red]
[purple]Kid: To Steven.[/purple]
[red]JM: There you go kid.[/red]
[purple]Kid: Wow thanks. I hope you beat Burning at your next match. I have front row tickets so I’ll be cheering you on.[/purple]
[red]JM: Nice to know Steven. I’ll keep an eye out for you. I gotta go now so see you at the show next week.[/red]
::Manson turns and walks down the street. He looks at the ground as he walks::
[orange]Jack: Well, well, well. You lost the match. Your shot for greatness taken from under your nose. You should have known better than to stick your nose in with Ortega and the Burning. You lost that match yourself. It should have been you in that final.[/orange]
[red]JM: Ah shut up. My time will come. Obviously your training isn’t as good as you claim it to be. Instead of getting on my back about the loss why don’t you shut up and rethink our strategy and training? Make yourself useful for once.[/red]
[orange]Jack: My training is fine. You just didn’t live up to my expectations yet again. Maybe beating the Burning and getting that National championship belt round your waist will put you on the right track.[/orange]
[red]JM: Maybe[/red]
[orange]Jack: You still have a lot to learn. The road is long and fraught with dangerous opponents. This loss will do you good, bring you back down to earth and keep your head on the ground.[/orange]
[red]JM: What? It’s not like I was going around bragging about my undefeated streak like some people.[/red]
[orange]Jack: Not in public. But I know your thoughts. You’ve done nothing but big yourself up since you got here. This is a wake up call.[/orange]
[red]JM: Reading my thoughts now eh?[/red]
[orange]Jack: Oh yes. So be careful about getting big headed in the future Jack, it won’t do anything to help you. Confidence is what you need, not stupidity and an ego.[/orange]
[red]JM: Fine. I’ll be careful.[/red]
::Manson continues to walk down the long and winding road::
