The camera fades in on the John Anthony sitting in a conference room of his home in Buffalo, NY. He has a pair of dress slacks on and a nice shirt shinny dress shoes and gold watch on his left wrist. He has feet kicked up on the table in front of him and he begins to speak.
John: Well looks like I have finally gotten the opportunity that I have been waiting for. I guess hard work and dedication pays off. When I was asked to be part of something great I was finally happy for the first time in a real long time. When I seen the talent that was going to take part in this match I new what I have done so far well I am going to have to raise the bar for myself. I have to take my game and raise it. This is one of the greatest opportunities I have received since I signed my first contract here. Dave Holland vs. The Ace vs. Sexy Jason vs. Ricky Johnson vs. Joe Everyman vs. me John Anthony the winner gets a shot at the world champion. This isn’t just any type of match we are fighting in the confines of a steel structure called a coliseum! All of us are going to kick the living hell out of each other. We all want the prize that is at the end. We all want to walk out of that structure and be named the nCw Gladiator and then given the chance to fight the world champ. Anything is going to happen in this. I don’t even know what to say. Anything can happen inside that beastly steel structure. One of us could die in that thing. I have never seen anything of that nature. All I know is I am ready right now! I want what is at the end of the tunnel. I have the confidence and the skill to win this. Any one of us can win this. Dave, Jason, Joe, Ricky, and Ace these are five of the finest the nCw has to offer. I have to go through all five of these competitors to just win. I can’t just say I am going to beat this guy and not that guy I can’t say that. I can’t say anything. I am just going to dissect what I can and move on from there.
You see John put his feet on the floor and sit up in his chair. He opens his laptop in front of him and pulls up a picture of the coliseum. The camera man zooms in on the structure and John begins to speak.
John: This is what I will be fighting in. This is where we will do battle. We are all in a world of pain. I am ready for it. I am ready to put my life on the line for a shot at the world champ. A person I just beat but maybe he won’t be champ anymore after this week. All of us are going to be fighting for how ever long it’s going to take. It could take two minuets it could an hour. We don’t know. None of us can predict anything of this nature. Who knows what will happen. We all earned a right to be in this match. We all have been working our asses off to move up the “ladder” if you say. Well we all ended up in the same boat. We are going to have to do things that maybe we aren’t used to doing. Maybe going out of our element doing what we are not used to doing! I will do anything I have to. I keep saying it but it’s the truth I feel honored to be in this match and fight these five men for a chance at something great.
You hear a knock at the door to the conference room. A person on John’s staff answers the door. It opens a bit and Jason peaked his head through the crack. He walks in and grabs a seat next to John. He turns to Jason and begins to speak.
John: Where the hell have you been?
Jason: Doing research for you. Finding different things out that might help us in this match.
John: So what did you find?
Jason: Well I found the dimensions of the coliseum. I also found how many people start and so on and so forth.
John: Does it look good for us?
Jason: Only if we draw either one of the two spots. See two men start in the ring part while the other four are on top fighting it out every two minuets another competitor is allowed to come down to the ring. But my strategy is to try and win this in the first two minuets of the match. I know that is almost impossible but it’s a shot that we should take. Hopefully we get drawn in either the one slot or two slot.
John: I don’t think either any of the competitors could win this in two minuets. That’s almost impossible. It’s all luck of the draw. Who knows what number we will draw! Hell we could draw six. This thing could be over before we even enter the match.
Jason: Well that’s the chance we are going to have to take. We earned this right. You beat Spike Kane in the middle of the ring last week. You were offered a spot in this match well you know what you need to do something about that.
John: I will do what I can. I will not let you down. We thought it would take us longer than that to do get a shot at the champ. All we have to do is winning and we have the opportunity.
Jason: It’s doable. Listen right now you are the complete underdog. No one is expecting anything out of you. Play that card to the fullest. We have the ability to out smart everyone and make it to the end and pin someone for the chance to fight for the nCw title.
John: I am hearing what you are saying Jason. We need to get in the match early enough to make a difference. If we are number five or 6 you can forget our chances at winning. They needed an extra person I just happened to beat Spike last Monday so they said what the hell lets throw John Anthony in the match. Well what they didn’t count on was I might actually have the skill to beat them in this match. I have listened to what they are saying and I am not even being mentioned but you know what I want it that way. I want to be under the radar and just go out there and do what I know I am capable of doing.
Jason: I am not worried about this match. I just hope we get a fair deal. If we go into this match and lose but we put on a hell of a show at least we can walk away with our heads in the sky. I want to win this. We have been waiting for this over and over again. We keep saying the same things over and over again you know I hope we are finally getting through to everyone.
John: I agree Jason. Dave, Ricky, Ace, Joe, Jason don’t over look me in this match. I am going to come hard and fast. I will not be pushed over in this match. Be ready for me. Be ready for the Machine John Anthony!! I earned my spot in this match. The whole world will get to see what I am capable of doing. I’ll be talking to you all soon.
John and Jason get up shake hands and walk out of the room. The camera man follows them out and John lets Jason out and John to follow. Jason gets in Johns 2008 Hummer and the camera fades to black.
