"I realized something this week, something I didn’t know about my self, something I didn’t even think was possible, but I have feelings, I can actually care for someone, something, I can actually want...need...to have, to hold, to keep close, to protect, to be truly mine, no matter what."
Blackness is on the screen as these words are spoke, however we know the voice, that slight southern drawl, that charming pitch, and we are assured the fact that it is JFK talking when the scene fades in, on his face, his head, his body, sitting, in the middle of the Empire locker room, a towel around his neck, a pair of basketball shorts around his waste, the rest of him is covered in sweat, it's ok to stair....he's used to it.
"I lust for the way she looks at me, I yearn for the way she calls out my name, you don’t deserve her, she doesn’t want to be with you, the way her ruby red eyes look at me, she's with you for now, but she wants to be with me, she's told me so, she's called me in the middle of the night, and begged me to free her from you, to take her away and show her what a true man is like, what the high life is like, what the Empire is like. She can't stand being with you anymore, she hates it, every minted of your mundaneness, every second of your lack of spine, she can’t stand it, she knows you can’t protect her, she knows you don’t belong together."
JFK raises his head slowly, his eyes glairing into the camera, those hazel piercing eyes, almost green but not quite, they look at you as if they are peering into your soul.
"I don't care what you say; I don't play the same games you play. Cos I've been talking to the people that you call your friends, And it seems to me there's a means to an end, They don't care anymore, And as for me I can sit here and bide my time, I got nothing to lose if I speak my mind, I don't care anymore, no I don't care anymore. I don’t care about working my way up the ladder anymore, I've done that, I don’t care about drawing seat's anymore, already mastered that, I don’t care about playing nice anymore, it hasnt gotten me anywhere, no Joe, I don’t care anymore, and that's a very....very dangerous thing for you my friend."
JFK gives that devils grin that only he can deliver.
"We've played this game before Joe, we both know the final outcome, we know that you can't retain your National Title, she doesn’t love you anymore Joe, she doesn’t NEED you anymore, she's seen me in action, she wants me, she...needs me. And you’re in the way Joe, in the way of love, and that sir, is not a good place to be. You see, I now have my sites set on not just winning your National Title Joe, but becoming the greatest National Title Champion in nCw history, with her at my side, I will be unstoppable, with her by my side, I will be invincible."
He wipes his face with the towel before continuing on.
"And you John Anthony, I don’t know who you think you are, proclaiming your self as the number one contender, what have you done since I've been here in the nCw? Not a whole lot as far as I've seen. Yet for some reason, for some *** damn REASON your in this match also, yet again. Yet again the nCw management looks to screw me and put the numbers against me, we all know they were sitting in the back thinking, brainstorming, "We know JFK can beat the TAR out of Joe Everyman, so how can we make this match more exciting, let’s insert John Anthony!" Let me tell you something John, they didn’t do you any favors, they actually put you in a very...very bad spot. You see, now not only is Joe Everyman in my way, but so are you, and like others before you John, you will sub come to the Empire's will, you will fall, you will be destroyed."
He pauses for a second fixing is long blond straight hair.
"I don't care what you say, We never played by the same rules anyway, I won't be there anymore, Get out of my way, let me by, I got better things to do with my time...after this Sunday, after A Night to Remember, it will be just that, a night to remember, a night where James Franklin Karn took his first step's into greatness, a night Joe you will forever remember as the night that your finest title run, came to an end. I'll give you credit Joe, you've been a good champion, you've become a great wrestler, but you are not...and never will be, in the same class as me Joe. I almost like Trent Helms, I just don’t claim to be from a different planet, no Joe, no John, I am human like the two of you, I bleed just like you do, I am made up of the same wasting matter of flesh and bone, but the difference between us, the difference between me and you Joe, between me and you John, is quit simply, the pure fact, that I...am better...then you.
JFK stairs at the camera, his eyes, show that he believes that, 100%, that no matter what, no matter what happens this Sunday, he will be walking out as champion, he will be walking out with his love, The nCw National Title, and there isn’t a damn thing Joe Everyman, or John Anthony, can do about it.
