(We Know your opinion Ortega, you don't have to share it again)
We talked about the other comic movie coming out, which was the Dark Knight, and how Awesome it's going to be.
But let's talk about the Marvel movie for the year...Ironman
I think Robert Downey Jr. is a great choice for Tony Stark, because when you think of Tony Stark, you think of alcholic, which in turn you think of Robert Downey Jr.
Of course, I will be seeing it, a little excited but no where near the level of the Dark Knight.

You hitthe nail on the head there Trent. Excited, looks great...but doesn't match up to The Dark Knight.
(I'm slightly educated no after watching Batman Begins....kinda wish I didn't as know I really cant wait for TDK)

I think both are going to be VERY VERY good but Ironman has been one of my fav marvel characters since the 80's when they kinda reinvented him persona wise.

Iron Man looks real good. Of course I'm super excited for TDK, like anyone. There isn't going to be a movie that can beat it. But Iron Man does look great. I honestly can't wait to see how they end it. Set up a War MAchine movie? Set up the Mandarin for the next movie? Theres allot of ways to go with Iron Man because they didn't use his best villain right away. Mandarin may be in the back round the whole time, waiting. It looks awesome.
As for other comic movies. Incredible Hulk starring Edward Norton. That is going to be an amazing movie. Edward Norton DOES NOT make a bad movie, ever. I'm pissed cause I haven't even seen one damn add for it, but it's gonna be good. Their more or less ignoring the first Hulk. Which doesn't bother me. The villain is Abomination, who can match Hulk on a physical level, which should provide some great scene. All in all Incredible Hulk is stacking up nicely. I hear it comes out July or August.
One last comic movie I'd like to touch on. Anyone who has read the hard core title thread can probably tell I'm a Ghost Rider fan. I heard they green lit a Ghost Rider sequel, anyone but me care? Personally, I loved the first movie. They didn't keep to the mythos as much as I'm sure some would have liked. But they still did it in a way that new and old fans can enjoy it, IMO.

Looks good, but I'm more into the darker characters, like The Punisher and Ghost Rider. You know, the guys who do wrong things to the right people so we're all like "Wow, that was cool, yay!".

I'm so glad my opinion on TDK stuck with everyone.
I still feel Nicholson the only man for The Joker..but I must admit Ledger will probably make a good Joker.
Iron Man will be great. It had Robert Downey, Jr. in it..so yeah I'm pumped.
I love Downey in A Scanner Darkly, and think he will do an amazing job.
As for a GR sequel..Im meh about it. Didn't care for the first one.
And with a new Hulk coming, that may be interesting seeing as Norton will be the star.

This is where I disagree with you Ortega.
You have always struck by Nicholson is the Joker routine.
Everytime I watch the original Batman Movie, and see Jack Nicholson as the Joker, I never once throught about it as....Hey that's the Joker....I always saw it as Jack Nicholson in alot of makeup, who just happened to be fooling around alot.
Plus everyone is saying how Ledger...actually nails the role of the Joker, and isn't just being a jackass with alot of makeup on.

Also by your view....Billy Dee Williams is Harvey Dent....so you should be complaining about Aaron Eckhardt being Harvey Dent in this movie.

Just because I view one actor as such...doesn't mean I view another as such.
That would just be biased...saying I like one movie over the other.
I have not seen TDK, therefore can not compare one to the other.
I simply see Nicholson as The Joker. Nicholson nailed the role. he can be as crazy as anyone...even for so (Shining, anyone?)

Yeah, this is where I disargree with you, because...You say Nicholson nailed the role...What role, being the Joker...or being Jack Nicholson in a ****load of Make up, if you read the comics, Joker is mostly a killer with a flare for the dramatic, and where Nicholson was more or less playing the role of the Campy Joker...which more or less, is just acting like a complete idiot.
In Batman...Jack Nicholson wasn't playing the Joker, he was playing himself dressed up like a dumbass, much like Samuel Jackson does in every movie he's in...He doesn't play a character, he mostly just plays himself.

Yet he is still one of the most highly sought after actors.
Whether or not he nails the role to your perspective is unimportant to me.
He is The Joker to me. He introduced Smiley
Or are you just saying this in defense to a dead Heath Ledger? Sort of like Brandon Lee?
Hey..don't get offensive. I'm not going to get into a debate with you for sharing my opinions.

Dude, I'm not that big of a ledger fan to be honest, I mean sure, he was pretty good in a Knight Tale, but it wasn't his acting that made him great.
And me getting offensive, I mean I respect your opinion, I guess, but I'm just stating that Nicholson wasn't playing the Joker role, he was playing himself, but I'm not getting offenisive, just starting my opinion, you're the one who try to make the jab at me.
Infact...We are both banned from posting in this topic...

By whose authority?
Yours?
Well...it would seem perfect if it was.
I wasn't taking a jab at you...trust me if I was you wouldn't need to say it. I understand what you are saying, and glad you see what I am saying.
I guess we will both have to agree to diagree

the joker's insane, period, as much as I liked Jack as the Joker, I think heath plays it more true to form in this upcomeing movie, at least from the clips ive seen and heard. both have their own take on the role, and sides most would say the orig adam west batman joker was hands down the best even over jack.

Because Batman came out when I was like four, Jack is the Joker for me, much like Davey. I've never really read a Batman comic, so I can't compare his portrayal to anything. Jack is the Joker, period. Like Brandon Lee is the Crow. Christopher Reeve is Superman. Those are the actors I saw as those characters first.
As for Ledger. When I first heard it was him playing Joker, I was pissed. Then I saw some clips, heard some audio. And even though Batman is my favorite movie of all time and Jack is THE Joker for me... I am VERY excited to see Ledger's portrayal of this character. If there is one thing Jack's Joker was missing, it was being more psychotic, which is what I gather Ledger did.
In a way, I agree with Davey and Trent. One thing we can all agree on, TDK is going to be the movie of the year. Hands down. Who doesn't want to see a pissed off psychotic clown, blowing people away with a machine gun?

Actually Ceaser Romero is the Joker. I saw the 60's movie first.
Jack played a combo of Ceaser's Campy joker and his own Sinister Joker.
Heath is dropping any campiness that the Joker had.
The Joker may be the most complex villian in comic history, The fact that he is unpredictable and will do ANYTHING just to make Batman mad or make him work for the victory, OR just because he thinks it's funny, makes Batman that much more great as a hero. Reading any of the graphic novels involving him really a crazy expierence.
To quote Batman - The most evil people in the world don't believe their evil. The most dangerous people in the world believe they are in the right. The Joker is neither of these. He does it to get his kicks.
If you haven't read "the killing joke" you don't know the Joker.
Even then, you still don't know.
That's why it's hard for ANYONE to play the Joker. he's had so many incarnations, which one is the correct one?
