Shot opens at the Night To Remember press conference. The table is set up, with microphones set in place. The wrestling media is in attendance, ready to ask any questions that they may think of. Chad Lights announces Matt Margera, and he comes out to a nice applause. Matt acknowledges the media, then takes a seat.
MATT MARGERA
Well let's don't waste any time. Let's get right to any questions you have.
REPORTER #1
Recently on nCw.com, JackHammer said that you were an angry man, unable to control your anger. He also said that you were "obsessed" with having the Xtreme Title. Your response?
MATT MARGERA
Well as for my supposed anger problem. I've only had a couple of matches with him, and I've only been here for a month, and he automatically assumes I have an anger problem? I mean, so what if I threw a flower vase at Kelly Fox and missed backstage after losing in front of my hometown crowd last Sunday? So what if I tore up the catering table because Reckless Jack ate all the beef brisket? So what if I tore up JackHammer's luggage a couple weeks ago after losing to him?
Matt raises his voice as he shouts "Does that really mean I have an anger problem?!" The media look on in bewilderment, wondering what Matt is going to do or say next. Matt calms down and goes back to addressing the question.
MATT MARGERA
OK, so maybe I do have an anger problem. But obsessed? Needing a title so that I will feel that my career means something? Well JackHammer really doesn't know me very well, does he? Why would I feel that my career is worthless without winning many titles? Jake "The Snake" Roberts never won titles when he was in the WWF, but no one can deny his legendary status. Now me, on the other hand, have only held two titles, one of them being the top prize in another company. Many people say that those wins were flukes. Some people say that I only got those opportunities because of who I was friends with because "a skate punk can never be a main eventer." Well I'm out to prove the critics wrong. Beating JackHammer at Night To Remember will bring me one step closer to the Xtreme Title, and my condolences in advance to whoever the Xtreme Champion is after I beat JackHammer this Sunday.
REPORTER #2
Matt, there have been rumors circulating that you're bringing in a good friend of yours. Can you confirm or deny these rumors, and if they are true, could you elaborate on them?
MATT MARGERA
All I can say is in due time. That's it.
REPORTER #3
Matt, what do you have to say to the people who may question you having a number one contender match for a championship here in nCw when you only have one win in your very short nCw career?
MATT MARGERA
Those are the key words there. Very short nCw career. I've only just started my career here in nCw. To those detractors, you'll have to take that up with the nCw Championship Committee. Any other questions?
Nobody seems to have anymore questions, so Matt thanks everyone for his time, gets up and walks off. Chad Lights goes back to talking about the Night To Remember card as the scene fades to black.
