Thoughts on Reborn
Well fans, as you know Reborn is this Sunday, coming at you live from The United Center in Chicago, a beautiful place for a pay per view. You should all make sure to turn into the event, it nothing else to see me and Trent take it straight to the Empire. Trust me, it won't be something you'll want to miss. When me and Helms destroy those jokers, maybe nCw can finally get back to normal and we won't have to see Ortega's ugly face coming down and attacking champions for no reason other than jealousy. The Empire thinks they can run rampant and do whatever they want, they think they are immune... well we have something in store for them, just wait and see. Trent will get to go one on one with the man who has attracted more STD's than Madonna, and I'll get to square off with “The Emperor” of nCw... Davey Ortega. Should make for interesting television if nothing else, just to see these two get the hell kicked out of them, not to mention all the other amazing matches on the card.
Look at Davey Ortega, look at everything he's attempted to accomplish here in nCw. The keyword in that sentence is “attempted”. He's attempted to win the nCw championship three times, he's attempted to take over the company using the Empire, he's attempted to make a successful tag team with Jack Manson, and his latest folly, he attempted to win the X-Division championship from Angel.... Oh, Ortega attempts a lot of things, like losing his virginity, but he never seems to accomplish these feats. Over and over again he fails, falls flat on his face and then slowly sulks away, so is the fate of Ortega, so his existence will always be tainted by these failed efforts, and Sunday at Reborn it will be more of the same.
Just look carefully at his first attempt at fame, he attempted to reshape nCw using his little “Empire”. Wow that went over like a sack of bricks. He couldn't put his ego aside long enough to gain real success, the group didn't take off into superstardom until after Spike kicked him out of it! Seriously, how do you get kicked out of your own stable? He couldn't control the power that he had accumulated around himself. He was surrounded by the future of the company, the top rising names on the roster yet he just wasn't strong enough himself to control what he had created. He wasn't strong enough to keep Spike Kane in check, he wasn't strong enough to keep John Anthony in line. What does that say about Ortega, what does that show you? It's a simple uncontested fact that Ortega simply can't handle success, when he gets close, when things are looking up, that's when Ortega crumbles. Kane had to kick Ortega out, Spike had to take over what Ortega had started. Ortega had planted the seeds but Spike he made the flower blossom, something Ortega has proven he is incapable of. So what makes anybody think that this flavor of the Empire is going to be any different? Huh? Is it Ortega's boyish grin, I don't know but anybody who is predicting uncontested success by this group better hold of judgment until they've had enough of Ortega and kick him out again. The writing is on the wall and history is about to repeat itself. Right before the Ortega ousting, you could literally see Spike's stock rising, you could see him about to break through onto bigger things..... Ortega all he was doing was holding Spike and the rest of that group back, he though he was the central attraction the big draw of the group, he was deafly wrong. Now fast forward to current times, and you can see that Ortega is again just the figure head leader of the group. His subordinates they are getting antsy, I can see it in their eyes, Ortega is trying to direct traffic, control lives, but it's not working and things are about to get ugly again.
Now lets take a look at something else he so graciously failed at... his many.... many attempts to gain the World Title here. Ortega and Lance.... they had a vicious battle, where they went toe to toe for the better part of twenty minutes, just for the honor of being the first person to carry the World Championship. This was the last time I'd ever respect Davey. He showed heart in this match, he gave this match everything he had and he dang near pulled it off. He should not be ashamed of this, I'm man enough to admit when somebody does something good, and Ortega he did a good job that night. He was hungry and give it everything he had. However, you just have to know that he wasn't going to keep it up, call it revisionist history or something, I don't care but you could see Ortega was about to lose it. That match, that night, after he was defeated you knew his heart just wasn't there anymore. He started going through the motions, trying to get the Empire to steal him some wins and put him back into a position to win the title, he was power hungry he thought he had Spike and his group wrapped around his finger, but that had seen enough no more would they be oppressed by Ortega. Spike stabbed Davey in the back and cost him a chance at the world title and Ortega couldn't blame anybody else, couldn't point a finger, because it was all his fault. It was Ortega's fault that he failed, that he wasn't able to control the monster he had breathed life into he's too weak, not mentally strong enough to handle that kind of responsibility. Then finally, Ortega was given his golden opportunity at revenge, he was thrust into a Dragon's Den with Spike and told to bring the title home, to finally dethrone Spike Kane.... what does he do, what does Ortega do!? He simply lays down..... it was obvious who the better wrestler that day was, it was obvious who wanted to win that match... and it wasn't Ortega. Ortega walked in, after weeks of running his mouth at how he would topple his former Empire, how he was going to extract his vengeance, and he chokes. He couldn't handle the pressure, just like he couldn't Empire egos, when the chips are down Ortega crumbles.... it's a sad.... sad fact.
Davey Ortega.... he thinks he can do this, he thinks he can accomplish that, and he sure talks a nice game, he sure puts on a very entertaining show, but at the end of that day, that's all his act is..... entertainment. He pretends he's something special, heck maybe he even starts to believe it himself, I don't know. What I do know is that he is a fool if he thinks that I'm going to be intimidated by his little talks, by his flash dance, nothing Ortega can put out in front of me will lead me down the wrong path because I can see Davey for what he really is, and that's a poser. He wants to be known as this great wrestlers as a man among boys and all that dribble but he fails to realize that the only person he's preaching to is himself. We all know what he really is, we all know that Davey hides behind his mask of self praise, in actuality he knows that he's nothing, that he's a just another guy, he buffs up his self esteem by putthttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pied_Pipering on this front, where he acts like some genius schemer. If Davey really was this, “genius” like he claims then he'd see the writing on the wall, he'd see that he stands no chance come Sunday, he wouldn't keep pretending that his day was about to come, he wouldn't act as if his presence in nCw should be revered by all, his “genius” act has grown tired and stale. It may have worked for a brief fleeting moment, but nobody, and I mean nobody is buying what Ortega is selling anymore, we're no long going to be sucked in by promises of upcoming greatness. No longer will the masses be led down the path of lies with Ortega playing the part of the pied piper of hamelin. His “Empire” his “legacy” his entire existence is nothing but a punch line.
Come Sunday, when the match I on the line, when the moment of truth comes, who will you be putting your money on? The person who has crashed and burned at every attempt he's been given for success, or the wrestler who knows what it takes to be a champion, who knows what it takes to get up for a match and put his heart and soul into a win, for the simple pleasures of winning. Yes, I want to go out there and win every match and I want to win every title, but I don't pull an Ortega and whine to my mommy if I don't, you won't ever see me tucking my tail between my legs and scurrying off into the shadows like we've seen from Davey before. That's what separates me and him, he is a coward when going gets tough, he leaves the building, calls for help, anything but stand face to face with his problem. That's the reason he's destined to lose, because right now i'm his biggest problem, I'm the one who's looking to bring his Empire to it's knees and to crush his dreams, I'm a towering wall standing right in the middle of his road and Ortega just doesn't have the balls to confront that wall straight on. He'll do everything in his power to sneak by, to try and avoid getting his hands dirty, real men, real champions....t hey would take the wall head on, get their hands in deep and would start climbing, not Ortega.
I'm going to win this match fans, I'm going to walk into that ring and I'm going to crush Ortega's emperial dreams and I'm going to do it for you and the better good of nCw. Do you want to see Ortega continue his antics, to keep attacking the innocent just because he has an inferiority complex, I didn't think so. Well, no worries because Sunday, I'll show Ortega how a real wrestler acts, how somebody who truly knows what it takes to be a star will act when put into a dream match. Unlike Ortega, I won't wilt under the pressure, I won't lay down when the odds are stacked against me, I will come out with guns blazing and ready for the fight of a lifetime, that's how a champion acts. I know that there are Empire members just ready to pounce, just ready to hold me down, but I won't stop coming I won't back away because there is an obstacle in front of me, the challenges that are coming up... I'll take them head on and I will come out victorious.
Now, I'd like to address Davey Ortega, to tell him a little something. Davey, man to man, you have to know that you stand no chance. You have to understand that at Reborn I'm bringing everything I have for you, you're somebody I've been just waiting to get my hands on since nCw opened up and I will not waste my opportunity to inflict some pain. When I first arrived you had the one person I have always loved wrapped around your finger, believing your lies, and I can't stand the thought that you could manipulate her, but this Sunday when we're across the ring from each other, when we're staring each other in the eyes, this will go out the window. Sure you managed to trap Kelly in your spell, but when I'm in that ring, I won't allow anything to distract me from one goal, to win. This Sunday, your day of reckoning will be upon you Ortega, are you going to lay down and cry, or will you be there to match my fire and passion.... I'm betting on the first option, why? Because you have yet to prove you can handle the intensities of a real fight. Like I said, posers like you, they always fade out into oblivion, while the competitors like me, we will always stand tall at the end of the day. The masses will be chanting my name from the rooftops as I destroy the foundations of your Empire and Ortega you'll just have to deal with it.... Fear the Knite Ortega, the night when you will be exposed for what you really are, Fear the Knite Ortega, the night your Empire comes crashing down around you, and Fear the Knite Ortega...... when I take everything you hold dear away from you.
Alright, that's all I got, so make sure and order the pay per view, it'll definitely be worth the money. And Davey Ortega.... I'll see you there, until then.... farewell.
