And I have to say, I marked out for Dr. Crane (Scarecrow) actually having a role (despite being very small) in this.
Aaron Eckheart was the man as Harvey Dent, and I felt they really got the Two-Face look down.

The story seemed to really focus on Harvey Dent/Bruce/Batman/Two Face relationship, I noticed that on the 2nd go round. The Joker is kind of tossed in their, but he steals the show when he is on screen, but it is more so Dent.

And another great part is when Batman takes Maroony, and pulls him up a building, and he's like...If you're going to threaten someone, do it right, this height won't kill me.
Batman: I was counting on it.
*Drops Maroony, who legs just crumple and snap*

Joker nurse was priceless...especially when the detonator wouldn't work and he's standing there studying it

I loved the scene were he was sitting in the hole, antagonizing the detective with stories of how many friends of his he killed, just to draw him in so he could escape.
And the insane genuis of all his crimes.
Kill the entire gang robbing the bank, The switch of hostages and henchmen, and which boat blows up the other.
I just didn't like Two-Faces very quick exit from the movie. I felt he also should be in the sequel, perhaps if Batman were to tour Arkham, find him and the Joker inside.

I knew Harvey Dent was going to be in the movie, but I didn't expect to see Two-Face in there.
I thought they would maybe set it up so that he would be in a third movie or something, so was quite happy to see him get a decent villain role.
Fave part of the movie was probs Nurse Joker sitting down and saying "hello" lol, then his limping walk away as the hospital blows up.

The Joker: I don't think the...uh...television really knows who he's dealing with.
[The Joker holds Rachel Dawes out of a window] Batman: Let her go. The Joker: Hmm.. Very poor choice of words. [The Joker lets her drop as he laughs maniacally]
The Joker: You just couldn't let me go could you? This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. You truly are incorruptible aren't you? You won't kill me out of some misplaced sense of self-righteousness, and I won't kill you, because you're just too much fun. I think you and I are destined to do this forever. Batman: You'll be in a padded cell forever. The Joker: Maybe we can share one. Then we'll be doubling up the rate this city's inhabitants are losing their minds.
Gamble: [to The Joker] Give me one reason why I shouldn't have my boy here rip your head off. The Joker: How about a magic trick? [pulls out a pencil and sticks it upright into the table] The Joker: I'm gonna make this pencil... disappear. [Gamble's thug walks over to kill The Joker, who pushes his face into the pencil and kills him] The Joker: Ta-daa! It's... gone!
Just some of my favorite little scenes and quotes.

I finally saw it.
Absolutley amazing, I honestly believe it's one of the best movies I've ever seen.
Did anybidy else think that the Joker tricked the people on the boat? Like he did Batman with where Harvey and Rachel were?
I just had this image of the civilians pressing the detonator to blow the convicts up and it's really their own detonator. Justice!
There were a few things I did't see coming, the most notable being Rachel dying.

Just came back from seeing it the first time, and I already want to see it again! Needless to say when it comes to DVD I'll definitely be getting it, but then that shouldn't surprise those of you who know I'm a huge Batman fan.
Joker and Two Face are two of my favourite villians of all time, though again I guess that shouldn't really shock any of you, one deals in signature cards and the other is fascinated by the laws of chance...doesn't take an (evil) genius, does it? And I'm glad both of them were done with a great justice...especially after Schumacher pissed on credible villians in his flops...
To me it doesn't seem like Harvey is dead, I think he may return in a third film, such a classic villian deserves his own film after all...
I was also pleasantly surprised to see Scarecrow return for his cameo...and to my mind Ledger had Joker down to a T...brilliantly psychotic with a sick humour...and most of you have already picked out my favourite lines/moments from the movie...and they've truly left it as Batman is on his own, which I couldn't be happier with, making the police hate him so he truly can be a vigiliante in the next one...also I see him getting a new Batmobile and thusly slowly moving it up to where Burton's films had Batman to begin with...as an established superhero...
I also didn't expect to see Two Face, I thought they'd end it with a little teaser, like they did with Joker, overall though, I was very pleased that they kept continuity and more true to the original characters as they were intended, not like these hero sequels where they ignore what happened in the last film to take it in a completely new direction...
Awesome film, even more so than Steve is...
Aswell as the lines/moments which have already been mentioned...I'll end this post by saying its good that Rachel died, it adds to the darkness which spawned Batman/Two-Face and that is never a bad thing...and of course my favourite moments...
#1 Joker's Pencil Trick #2 Joker Nurse #3 The genius of the bank heist #4 The Interrogation #5 Joker 'hanging around' talking to Batman
Favourite lines (in addition to those already mentioned):
"When you're good at something, never do it for free..."
"The only thing in a corrupt world is chance...fair..."

Even at a half-theater full on the first day it was out(at like noon...so most people were still at work), everyone laughed so hard at that. Just...gold. Harvey was Awesome. The Pencil and Interrogation...awesome. If I have 7 or 8 bucks left after I pay my bills...I'm going to see it again!

Did anyone else catch who might be the villain in the next one? They kinda hinted at it in Dark Knight.....When Lucious Fox and Bruce Wayne are discussing the new Batman costume and Bruce asks if it can withstand dogs and Lucious says, It can withstand cats......Possible hint that Catwoman could be in the next one?

Even though he "died" in this one, don't count Two-Face out.....it matches up with the storylines from the novels and comics.... Catwoman, maybe......but they would have to go SUPER FREAKING HOT if they want to out-do both Michelle Pfifer and Hally Berry....both of which were hot in that leather outfit.
Although Catwoman is the obvious next in line of villians, I would rather see Two Face back along with The Riddler, The Penguin, or even Mr. Freeze. With an actually great writer and director combo, any of these could and would be worlds apart from the crappy, cartoonish versions we saw in the 90's.
Favorite part...making the pencil disappear. I still laugh about it when I think about it. I saw it on the IMAX!! FAN-FARGIN-TASTIC!!
And sadly, since the death of Heath Ledger, it looks as the the "Joker" will die with him, because I honestly can't think of anyone giving a better performance in that role. The Joker has long been my favorite villain!

I heard Nolan say he will not be using the Penguin either.
I was thinking a good replacment for Ledger would be
Paul Bettany from a Knights Tale and Davinci Code. I think he could pull it off.
I'd personally like to see a two parter next, Batman 3 and Batman 4 of course being the story of Hush. I think with a few twists and tweeks they could make Hush work as one long movie being split in half. Have it start introducing Ivy and Croc(a realistic version of Croc) and Catwoman, which also brings in the new love interest for Bruce. By the end of 3 Batman figures out that someone else was behind Ivy, Croc and Catwoman and that's when he gets on the trail of Hush leading into the next movie. I know your leaving out the linchpin in the death of Robin, but maybe you could replace that with Rachel some how.
Just brain storming, ignore me if you disagree.

Come on, it's pretty clear, the next villian will more then likely be The Riddler

I've heard several rumours, take them as you will:
#1 Nolan is planning on only doing a trilogy type deal, it is unclear whether the series will continue after that...
#2 The third film will introduce Robin (I hope not!)
#3 Two Face gets his own outing this time... (Yes!)
#4 Angelina Jolie as Catwoman
#5 Brad Pitt as The Riddler
#6 They may have enough cut Joker footage to give Ledger a cameo appearance ala Scarecrow...
