I know that shiyen is a rap fan and aj listens to it from time to time, just wondering if any of you other guys were rap fans since e-feds seem to be dominated with the rock/metal genre.

I am an Eminem/D12 fan but apart from that not really, occassionally Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z and Akala, but my love for Rock/Metal dominates...

I'm into a few London based because my cousin is a producer down there, nobody big though.
I'm really into Fort Minor at the moment though, Mike Shinoda = the man

yeah Em was a great rapper in his day though recently he's went down the pop route as a lot of them. He has a new album in the works though which is supposed to go back to his old style. Jay-Z is also largely poppy now but his lyrical ability is still second to none.
I'm in to the underground stuff myself like Tech, though I'm more of an NWA/Eazy fan.

Sadly, I don't listen to Rap very much, and sadly don't fall into the Metal genre either, Since I listen to Punk mostly.

I am just an old country boy from Texas... so if I am going to listen to rap, it's going to be something like...
Beastie Boys, ICE T, Digital Underground, NMW, Cypress Hill, Dre & Snoop....
But mostly, I listen to country, southern rock, rockabilly, and hard rock.....
OK, so I am a little eclectic.... SUE ME!

I used to bump Cypris Hill all the time when I started gettin high
I can listen to Illmatic and Hip Hop is Dead straight through without really finding anything to criticise Nas about.
Feel post some good rap songs in this topic gentlemen.

Here's a couple of tracks from Hip Hop is Dead, one of the most underrated albums ever in my opinion. These are two of the moremainstreem tracks on it, but in songs like "Who Killed It" and "Still Dreaming" Nas displays his flawless storytelling lyricism, no question.
Hustlers f/The Game (prod. by Dr Dre)
Blunt Ashes

For the most part, I think most rap that comes out now is crap. Lil Wyane and Sojah boi are dumb and they have no talent. Ice T called them jokes because that's what they are. Give me some Snoop, Dre, Run DMC, and other guys with talent anyday.
PS Beasty Boys rules!

used to love waking up and taking a gravity bong to that one also Holy crap! Wake up and do a gravity bong?! You must like to party hard sir. I've never smoked but I used to have a bunch of friends that did and I seen somebody do a gravity bong and he almost passed out. Snap sir! Snap indeed... Back to rap, I really Ice Cube's flow. And yes, I do think Lil John can come with some fire beats...that all sound alike... So his Crunkjuice cd was good but the rest were...the same....

haha yeah I never smoked cigarettes so I never got in to smoking joints so the only thing I ever really smoked was gravity bongs
I'm not a big Lil John fan. Some of his beats are good, agreed (including an ice cube song go to church) but I think crunk is up there with the other **** thats ruining rap

Fury, Mr. Freeze, Legin.. you know.. the "nobodies" that is the only kind of "good" rap there is man... and i mean a random genre made up the bands you mentioned and those who fit into their categories on the shelf in HMV lol Personally I believe D12 to be a tool of the devil to strip us of our right to talented instrument playing young men and women who then proceed to effing destroy all of humanity with the overlordic riffs and awesomely alternative singing styles. as well as the occasion blast beat of fate i love metal and metal loves me... we're a hairy family. DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL 2009!!!! WHO'S WITH ME!?!??!?! (to self) chill man it's friday
