Wrestler's name: Blake Fields
Nickname(s): The Running Man
Gimmick: He's the next big thing, with a figurative "lucky horseshoe shoved somewhere in his body", at least if you were to ask him. Blake barely gives respect to anybody but Flint, and wants instant recognition and gold, at any cost. Why? Because he says he deserves it, of course.
Height: 5'11
Weight: 192 pounds
Date of Birth: May 5th, 1985
Hometown: New York City, NY
Alignment: Heel
Pic Base: Josh Abercrombie (pre the porn stash)
Appearance/Attire: He typically wears black shorts with a sort of orange trim around the outside
Theme Music: "Our Time is Now" by Story of the Year
Common Entrance: "Our Time is Now" by Story of the Year begins playing over the sound system and the lights on the entrance way start flickering. Shortly after, the curtain gets pulled back as "The Running Man" Blake Fields walks onto the stage with his fists clenched s**t and his arms towards him as he "yeah!"s, while looking out in the direction of the ring, not caring enough to make any sort of eye contact with the fans. Blake then starts making his way towards the ring with quite the arrogant grin on his face while he stops at the top of the stage to crack his wrists in preparation for the match. While going down the ramp, he keeps his eyes away from the fans and on the ring until he finally reaches ringside. Slowly, he climbs onto the apron and looks at the crowd again, taking the time to point a thumb at himself before entering the ring through the ropes and stopping to lean against them,
Special Entrance: "Our Time is Now" by Story of the Year starts up on the sound system and the lights on the entrance way start to flicker.
"Today will be the day to start rising up and fighting back
And from this moment on we will live our lives
With open hearts and open eyes"
The curtain is then pulled back as "The Running Man" Blake Fields emerges onto the stage with his fists clenched and his arms towards him as he "yeah!"s, while he looks out towards the ring and doesn't bother making eye contact with the fans.
"Just keep pushing forward
We take control, we take control
Keep fighting onward
We take control, we take control
Keep pushing forward
We take control, we take control
And we will never step down"
Blake makes his way down to the ring with an arrogant grin on his face as he stops on the stage and cracks his wrists in preparation for the match. As he goes down the ramp, he ignores the reactions of the fans and keeps his eyes set on the ring.
"We won't fall or hesitate and from this rotting life we disengage
We strive to break away and stop wasting time on these insecurities"
Now right at ringside, Fields climbs onto the apron and looks out at the crowd, pointing a thumb to himself, before he continues to stare for a few moments.
"Just keep pushing forward
We take control, we take control
Keep fighting onward
We take control, we take control
Keep pushing forward
We take control, we take control
And we will never step down"
He then enters the ring through the ropes and leans against them, not looking concerned at all about his opponent as the music fades out.
Primary Style: Focuses on impact style moves as much as possible, meaning those that either hit hard, or land quite unfavourably in the eyes of his opponent (I don't really know how else to describe it, unfortunately).
Secondary Style: High flying
Other Style: hardcore
Favorite Moves: -Running Yakuza Kick
-Capture Back-breaker
-Face-first DDT (the opponent hits the canvas face-first, not Blake)
-Double underhook Back-breaker
-Double stomp to the head (with opponent sitting in the corner or on one knee)
-Double-knee rib breaker (think of it as a rib breaker where Blake falls backwards a bit after lifting his opponent up and has them fall ribs first on his knee/shin area)
-Moonsault to the back (in other words, the opponent's lying on their stomach)
-Fisherman's DDT
-springboard dropkick
-cannonball leg drop from top rope
-dropkick to the back of the neck (in any applicable situation, really)
-tumbleweed
Trademark Move(s) and Description(s):
Riding the Bullet: First, he dizzies the opponent a bit, then he makes his way to the apron and waits for them to turn away from him. Upon doing that, he leaps onto (and off of) the top rope, springboarding from it with a somersault and connecting with what's almost a springboard into a Diamond Dust.
Night Flier: Blake climbs up to the top rope, and dives off with an incredibly stiff double knee drop to the chest/ribs of his opponent.
From a Buick 8: It's essentially the Small Package Driver.
Gray Matter: Fields runs towards his standing opponent, and proceeds to almost climb up them with his feet before hitting them in the back of the head with an Enziguri.
Finisher(s) and description:
Four Past Midnight:
-As the opponent is getting up from a prior move and on one knee, Showtime runs in and takes them down with a vicious Shining Wizard right to the head.
Fifth Quarter:
-If you're familiar with Carlito's lungblower, then essentially that's what it is. If you're not, then the best way to describe it is that he gets behind the opponent, grabs their shoulders, and leaps up, bringing his knees and shins into the back/kidney area of his opponent as he falls backwards. Sometimes he will jump from the second rope in order to do this. This move causes all the impact to be on the previously stated area before they get knocked forward. On rare occasion, the move will knock the opponent onto their feet again, or onto a knee afterwards, based on how they bounce off of his knees. When this happens, he'll either: a. run over and knock them down with Gray Matter (if they're on their feet) , or b. hit them with Four Past Midnight (if they're on one knee).
Danse Macabre: He climbs up to the top rope with his opponent up on about the second rope (with their back facing the ring). Fields then leaps off with his hands on the opponent's shoulders, and his knees (and shins too, based on how he falls with them) buried into the gut/ribs of his opponent the entire way down. Upon landing, Blake simply rolls forward off of them, forcing them to take almost all of the impact from the fall and allowing him an easy opportunity to pin. He's won a good deal of matches with this, but you can't really call it "common" for him to do so.
