So, who besides me plans on picking up Green Day's new album? I'm getting it this weekend and I'm psyched.

I'm not gonna pick it up...least not yet. If I get any albums this month it'll be Relapse by Eminem. Not cuz I think it'll be as badass as MM or Shady, but it'll at least be more listenable than say...the last 2 ICP ones, or any other rap out there right now. And I need to get something to keep me from ODing on Psychostick

I'll probably download it out of boredom, but I'm not holding out any high hopes for it.

Boulevard is just another track off there dirty emo record "American Idiot". I swear that whole cd was just remixes of "Good Riddance".
Greenday was good all the way up till Warning. Thats when they didnt care about politics and everything else that makes music artists gay.

I think he's just pissed cuz it became a trend for rock bands(are they even considered rock after the last emoish album?) went down that road after System of a Down started the Anti-Bush thing in 2002/2003. The other bands you mentioned ruled...but he means the emo/anti-bush music of mid 2000's...no matter how RIGHT they were to hate on him, the music was truly uninspired dribble to make a buck.

Pretty much Jeff.....it does piss me off when bands or people jump on bandwagons of hating certain people or things because it might make them sound intelligent or funny.
It happens with Bush
It happens with Cena
It's like okay...I get it...Bush isn't too smart sometimes....I get it...Cena might do the same things sometimes......
But for the love of God make music thats actually your own opinion not the same exact opinion as everyone else in America.
And with bands like Rage and Public Enemy...they were always politically charged. Bands like Greenday just made the switch to sound relevant.
I love Greenday, old Greenday. Dookie, Nimrod, Warning....good times. But if I want to listen to somebody bitching about Bush or other politics I'll watch it on those lame government channels I always flip past.....
