NCW’S Reborn PPV was nearly here and with it came Steve Ramone’s NCW PPV Debut....on the preshow against Rob Diamond, hey! Everyone has to start somewhere! And Rob was completely underestimating Steve going into this match based solely on his win/loss record which to be quite honest wasn’t that great but Steve was used to this and he had plenty of responses to those comments lined up no doubt.
Two warriors, each seeking victory in this epic battle but the question was who will emerge victorious in this epic battle? Will it be “The Fearless One” Steve Ramone who had a lot to prove in this match? Or will it be Rob Diamond who wanted to bounce back from his loss to Joe Everyman in the finals of the Elite 8 Tournament? Time shall answer all questions this Sunday on Reborn.

Yes, I know I’ve been absent most of the week but give me a break, Emily fell ill and with an ill child I couldn’t really concentrate on promos, however she is healthy now and I am able to tape a promo without having to worry about my child’s health, and what is this promo about? My NCW PPV Debut match against Rob Diamond: granted said match is technically a preshow match but you get the general idea, and what did Diamond have to say in his promo against me? The same old stuff that I have heard a million times before.
Any long-time fans of mine will know what I’m talking about, people underestimating me because of my win/loss record, and that’s why I always say the following phrase whenever my win/loss record gets brought up, “never judge a book by it’s cover”, this applies to me because of the fact that whilst I may not have the best win/loss record that doesn’t mean that I can’t outwrestle you eight ways from Sunday.
I’ll go into more detail in a minute but first onto the scene, me and Charlotte are sitting on the couch whilst she reads some gossip magazine that I, quite honestly, couldn’t give a damn about, Emily on the other hand is sitting in front of the TV watching some kids show, enough about those two though, I have an opponent to address.
SR: Where do I start in relation to Rob Diamond? Well for starters we have a lot in common, namely the fact that we both have losses that we wish to bounce back from, and that we want to get back on the main show rather than compete in the preshow, so is there a difference between the two off us? Yes there is, the fact that I don’t underestimate my opponents heading into a match based solely on their win/loss record.
And now onto the same old story that I’ve heard a million times before, and quite frankly I’m getting sick off it.
SR: Rob, if you think that you’re the first too use my win/loss record against me then you are sadly mistaken, to me, my opponents using my win/loss record against me is the biggest cliché this side of the story of David vs. Goliath, and if you think that for one single second that my win/loss record is an accurate portrayal of my in ring talents then you are sadly mistaken.
And I’m about to prove why.
SR: How do I expect to prove that? Well first here’s a phrase that relates to me throughout my wrestling career, “never judge a book by it’s cover”, you see my win/loss record often betrays my in ring talents and it causes my opponents to think of me as a joke but once they get in the ring with me and taste one of my signature martial arts kicks they know that they have made a huge mistake leading up to the match, and you Rob Diamond will be no different.
He’ll see how big a mistake he has made.
SR: You talked about your failure to defeat Joe Everyman last week and moaned about being on the preshow against me, all I can say is tough luck but by underestimating me you have already failed to defeat me in one on one competition, what’s that? That statement doesn’t make any sense? To put it simply, by underestimating me you have allowed yourself to be lured into a false sense of security and that is when I will strike, is that clear enough for you? Or do I have to speak in your native, caveman language?
Emily laughed at that one, well that or whatever was on the TV but given her IQ it seems highly likely that it’s the former she’s laughing at.
SR: See? Even my one year old daughter agrees with me! Basically Rob if your expecting an easy match then you are in for a huge disappointment not to mention a loss by my hands, you may laugh at that statement now Rob but you won’t be laughing at me when I pin you for the 1....2....3! And I’m sure that in the lead up to next week’s Rob Diamond match you’ll be doing even more moaning.
And with that I decided to wrap things up.
SR: Underestimating me was your first, last and worst mistake Rob Diamond and this Sunday in the warm up portion of the Reborn PPV I will show you exactly how big a mistake that you have made going into this match, this is “The Fearless One” Steve Ramone signing off, Rob Diamond, I will make you regret underestimating me when I beat you in that ring.
Charlotte went off to book us a table at a restaurant as the scene fades.
