..:: And the lambs praise their savior, worship him and send up his name, claiming him as their messiah, the one who will save them all.
People are always looking for somebody to “save” them, to be their shinning light in the bleak darkness. For some reason they never seem to think they can handle a situation by themselves, first they need somebody to rise up and lead them to the light... and never look for the burning candle by themselves.
We as humans have the power to find our way in life, to make our own way, yet most don't. They don't dare to be different, they don't desire to make a difference using their experience as an example. Instead they follow, believe what they're force fed and claim others as their hero or their mentor, or even inspiration.
I'm not one of those people, I make my own way and I look to myself for inspiration. I've paved my own path in this life, because I didn't want to be exactly the same as the sheep mindlessly following their shepard step by step. What I wanted is to be Adam Knite. I didn't want to be Spike Kane, Lance Ryan, Steve Awesome, or Trent Helms... I wanted people to remember me for me, to remember what I did for this company, but because of what people like Leonard Fox and AJ phoenix have done, I've been painted as a monster instead of a revolutionary.
I will never apologize for what I've done, because it was always the right choice to save this company from it's downward spiral, but I'll be damn if I'll let Leonard and AJ continue to spread their propaganda to the lambs, just so they can label me a villian and themselves as saviors::..
AJ Phoenix, the mighty savior of nCw is my opponent this week, and how appropriate is it that we will be squaring off at an event called “Reborn”, can you believe that? It's like it was destiny or something, AJ Phoenix works so hard to get where he is, he commits himself to nCw and saves it from the Evil Revolution and now he gets a shot at a PPV that just happens to use a phoenix as it's logo. Hollywood couldn't write a better plot could it, it's like perfect right? There's no way AJ is going to lose now, everything has fallen in line, the stars are forming and falling into place and now it's time for Adam Knite to be brought down?
Think again... I have no intentions on letting this Hollywood contrived tale continue, I'm ending it here and now. I will not allow this title to be made a mockery of by the AJ supporters who want to pimp his name at every turn despite the fact that he's never accomplished anything. Not a damn thing. Only the people, or idiots I mean who believe in these moronic fairy tale endings believe AJ stands a chance. I defeated him at Crossroads, I defeated him at Sovereign, every time we step into the ring one on one I end up walking away with a victory, I end up walking away the better man.
What's changed? Nothing, except the fact that I no longer have the Revolution thanks to Burns and Angel... not AJ, and he no longer has his “Resistance” which wasn't much of anything considering Ace was champion. However, our “factions” had little to do with our other meetings, had no effect at all on the outcome of the match. We are here now, in the same place we've always been, me as the goal that AJ is targeting. AJ wants to be me, he wants what I got, he is jealous of my success and now he gets his chance to fullfill some fake arse prophecy and suddenly I'm going to lose all my talent and allow that to happen? I think not.
See, I'm better than AJ, it's a simple fact of life and a simple truth that has to be accepted if we plan on going any further in this discussion. I've taken AJ down every chance I've been given to, I've embarrassed him... all the talk he did of destroying me and my Revolution, and what happens? It's I who wins our bull rope match... nice job there AJ. If you were writing a book on how not to succeed at a goal you set for yourself, you'd have done a great job. Too bad we were wrestling a match, a match where you claimed to be fighting for the greater good, yet couldn't find a way to steal a victory away.
You don't deserve this shot, you never did. You didn't earn it, all you did was stand on the coat tails, let somebody else do all the work and then swooped in like some mothereffin Greek god, to be worshiped by the insignificant mortals below. You can fool them, but you can't fool me, and I'm not like the masses, blindly turning away from the truth refusing to accept it, I look at things through my realist perspective and that's that you're a worthless nobody. Now it's your turn to come to terms with it, come to terms with how big of a poser you're turning yourself into. You aren't in my league, you don't even come close, I'm an overpowering technician, while you're a noodle armed little pansy. So what you can jump off things, so what you can do some little flips, … big deal. It takes more than that to be a World champion Phoenix. It takes something you lack... heart.
People may not have liked my views, and they may have seen me as a monster, but they could never question my heart and passion. They could never question what I was really doing this for. You though... people know why you stepped up, they know why you decided to come to the top of the Resistance's fight... it's because you wanted a way to get ahead fast, you wanted a way to fine your butt in the main events of pay per views. Congratulations, you got your little wish and even fooled a few of the weaker minded fans into believing in you, I'm happy for you. However, now it's time to drop the chirade, it's time to hang up the cloak you've put around you and your legacy and just admit to your flaws, admit that you are not a hero, you're not a savior, you're just some selfish guy looking for a get rich quick scheme and you know it. Soon enough after I expose your true face at Reborn everybody will know it as well.
Nobody will respect you then, nobody will look up to you as some sort of messiah, all they will see is what me and the rest of the enlightened wrestlers in the back see... that you're just common ordinary trash. Just like Spike Kane, just like Ace, just like Trent Helms... you are nothing. Once I'm through dispatching you, once I'm done ridding this company of your naussance, nCw can bring me a real challenger, somebody who might bring respect and honor into a match with me instead of what you bring... absolutely crap.
You will not have your fairy tale ending, you will not have your perfect little story wrapped in a tight little bow as long as I stand in your way. I will not move, I will not turn away, I will stand toe to toe with you in defiance and fight for this company and fight for the truth. The truth is you don't care about this company like I do, you don't care about this business like I do, and frankly you're just some wannabe looking for his fifteen minutes, and I won't allow it.
Bring everything you've got, bring your best, because when I put the fear of the Knite in you, I want everybody to bear witness the downfall of AJ Phoenix and the death of their “savior”, you won't be stepping down from the cross I crucify you on.
