Scene: Just outside the city limits of Biloxi, Mississippi a car is parked on the side of the road. The skyline shown from the cameras point of view shows the many casinos and high rise buildings that this lovely gulf coast town has to offer. Standing at the trunk of this car is Chris Brock. He stands tall and wears a pair of sunglasses to shade his eyes from the sun that hangs high in the clouds on this typical southern summer day.
Chris Brock: You talk to these people, your congregation as you call it, and treat them like they are inferior. Gabriel, you act like you yourself have never sinned. This war for God’s good message that you are on is nothing more than a façade to justify your sinning ways. Does God allow you to fight and damage another human being all in his name? Is he willing to allow the violence and bloodshed that you have probably bestowed upon countless opponents when you hold no respect for the sport of the fans that pay to watch you perform? I myself am a Christian man that does his best and I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that when my time comes I am willing to accept my fate for my actions. I do what I do with the utmost respect for this business and its fans. If God decides that I have done too much in this life to warrant a pass to heaven, then I will respect that decision and take what is given to me. Can you say the same?
You sit here and quote scripture to everyone that you meet. If that person does not come willingly, you beat the faith into them; and the churches wonder why attendance at Sunday mass is down. You cannot force religion on anyone that does not want it. There are many different religions for a reason. In fact, Christianity started because people did not like the ways of the Jewish and Roman Catholic religions. So who are you to demand that everyone follow your thoughts and opinions? If everyone shared those thoughts than this would be a world that I would not want to live in. Gabriel Karras, you have been presented with a unique situation this week. You are a man that is out to rehabilitate everyone to the ways of God, but what happens when that man is already a believer? You cannot beat into me what I have already accepted. So what does that leave you?
Brock pauses for a moment and looks up at the sky, and then back to the camera.
Chris Brock: You may think that you are the end all, be all in this company Gabriel, but I see through your word games. You use an analogy such as one man against the legion of hells army and then ask me what part I play? I’m that Angel Gabriel. I am that one man that will stand up for what is right and just when others will not. I wish the same could be said for you.
I went after Rob Diamond for one reason and one reason only; because I cannot sit back and watch someone cheat to win. I have given too much to this business to see someone like Rob Diamond throw respect and title prestige out the window just for a victory. I may not have won at Fallout, but the damage that was done to Rob Diamond will not be soon forgotten. If you would have done your homework Gabriel, you would have heard that I clearly stated multiple times that this was never about titles or glory. I do this simply for the honor of the business and the respect of the fans in attendance. Everything else is secondary.
I have always asked one thing of anyone that steps in between those ropes to wrestle me; I want your best. I want that monster that you speak of to show up at suspense because if it does not, then you are wasting my time. If I cannot get your absolute best then it is all for nothing. I am here to find out just exactly how far you are willing to go for the honor of finding out whether you are the better man. I know how far I am willing to go.
Brock drops to his knees, his arms stretched out wide.
Chris Brock: So I am begging you Gabriel Karras, bring your faith, bring your female companion, and bring anyone else that you want because this man will be standing tall on the opposite end of the ring, waiting for more. I know what I am willing to do, and how much I am willing to sacrifice. Friday night you will have a total recall of every sin you have ever committed in the name of God and at the end of the night I will make you repent for your sins by accepting defeat and admitting that you are nothing but a false prophet. If there is anything left of your soul after that I will make sure that you don’t remember anything as I give you a memory lapse. Remember that Jesus died for our sins; are you willing to sacrifice yourself for yours? We’ll find out because soon enough the suspense will be over.
Fade to black.
