NFL regulations are it has to be 80-85 Feet above the playing field... it's at 90 feet... and the NFL approved it before it got put up.
Learning some facts before you go claiming things... it really helps. I promise.

That punt probably wouldn't have went 30 yards had it not hit the video board.

What's sad is the NFL actually approved it. I don't care whether he was trying to hit it or not... it's too low to the field if someone can reach it. I don't blame the Cowboys though... I blame the NFL for allowing something like that. You would think it would be at a height where it wouldn't object anything, even the person tries to hit it.

It's at 90.... it was approved, and it is above regulation height. The NFL hangs camera's over the field, that have been hit before... people who are complaining about this video board are just looking for a reason to bitch... simple. A punter, when punting should not be hitting it, like the trajectory says... if a punt is going 90 feet in the air, it's not going very far. Even McBrier's short 36yard pinning punt, didn't come close to hitting it. Because he didn't kick it straight up in the air... which no punter should be doing when punting.

That's my point, the NFL needs to change it's regulations.
Camera's can be moved.... that video board cannot.

I think its the same principle as the Metrodome in Minnesota. Hitting it is difficult without really trying, and after this debachle it will basically be a non-issue. I think only opposing punters would even try now.

To my knowledge...most are about 80-100 feet up. Also to my knowledge hardly anyone has kicked a ball into them...though quite a few times have people hit them with a pop fly when the twins or their opponents are playing. Cam and JFK got no argument here...that kick should have no bearing on whether they should "change the rules" as there are many other stadiums with similar height boards but they have not had hardly any incidents...another case of "Media blowing **** out of proportion".

ACTUALLY...a punter wants to kick the ball HIGH and LONG....the higher the ball is in the air the more time a punt team has to get down and cover the punt. This is where they say, "out punting your coverage"...when you hit the board 100 feet in the air and it comes back and hits you in the face and everybody is already down field....and they have a "re-do"...really takes away from the game. Can't this stadium open up too? What happens when somebody punts it...the stadium is open..and they kick the ball clear out of the stadium? lol Either way, Eagles win the NFC EAST!

I could add to the convo, but since this is a non issue...
Still doesnt change the fact that the Boys ae way too ****ing overrated, got ass ****ed by a primadonna WR, has a softy as a head coach, and a QB who chokes more than Ortega... and all the fans can do is hold onto the "legacy"... psht... let talk about something that matter more than the Cowboys, like the WNBA.

This coming from a guy who supports a team once led by the most overrated QB to ever play the game... who flipped off his own fans, is more famous for contracting an STD than his play on the field, and got put in jail... nice. Or the team who's never managed back to back winning seasons, and now hopes to do so with a 2nd year QB, and a bunch of players other teams unloaded. The Falcons been completely irrelevant in the NFL since their inception. Sorry that stings so much, but sadly it's the truth... deal with it. Or maybe we'll talk about the subject that was brought up.. not the Cowboys... but the Cowboys' stadium. Sorry if I hurt your poor little feelings, but you fired the first shot. So take your nonsense to a wrestling thread and tell me how wonderful WWE is, something your way more qualified to talk about.

I said in the Vick thread he had ONE GOOD YEAR! I said he has 'meh' so dont get me confused with some other guy. I'll be a Falcons fan til death so I can REALLY give 2 ****s about you think.. at leats we can deal with reality, this isn't the 90s son... the spotlight has faded.
And yeah, i dont hit the panic button when ever the 'E does something and I can at least back it up.
So go back to sucking Aiken's right nut

Don't you find it ironic, that you use the fact that you'll be a "Falcon's fan for life" as a basis for defending them? Yet your completely try to bash me for being a Cowboys fan for life? A little hypocritical don't you think? Espcially considering you're the one who made the first snide remark? And we're not talking about the 90's lets talk abou the past 4 hours. Cowboys 9-7 9-7 13-3 9-7 Falcons 8-8 7-9 4-12 11-5 Your team had a better year once... and no division titles. So I'm not talking about the 90's here. I'm talking about right now, the Cowboys had a terrilbe year last year... but it was still better than 3 out of the Falcon's last four years. Again, if you want to have a real discussion? Lets. Otherwise, talk about something you know and not make generalizations about me and my views.

I mean, the Cardinals were 9-7 and went to the Superbowl, and the Chargers were 8-8 and made it to the playoffs too. If you ask me, the Cowboys have had a great last four years.

To be fair... the Cowboys were getting a lot of press before last season about how they were favorites to make it to the super bowl.... especially if you watched that stupid "Hard Knocks" show. That's why I used the word "Terrible" because it was... compared to how a lot of people expected. And add how they got whipped by the Eagles the last game of the season in what was basically a playoff game, and how they just let he Ravens run over them the week before that.... it was a terrible 9-7.

They are the measurements of a QB's performance, based on a complex algorithm... the certainly do mean something. Sorry, that in the middle of a discussion that I didn't see it as a joke... my bad.(really, I'm apologizing.)
