*The scene opens with The Ace sat at a small wooden table in his hotel room, mindlessly shuffling a deck of cards, he smiles at the camera as he draws a card at random and cuts it from the deck and sets it aside face down. But for the moment it is not the card that is the focus of our attention, but rather the determination of a man driven by ambition, the story is told in the dark determined eyes of this former nCw World Heavyweight Champion. He was prepared to go into Xtreme Warfare and come out with the gold that so richly defined one of his most persistant rivals in the company - Sexy Jason...*
Forgive my rather pre-emptive strike here, but I feel as though I can no longer wait for any of my opponents to rattle off any more of the same old boring twoddle they usually do, so I'm going to try and answer them before they question my resolve any further...
*The Ace pauses*
Being in the ring with Dark Prophet again this Sunday brought back memories of our last encounter, an encounter in which he tried to warn me of my future by using Tarot cards, not that I believe in such things of course, but after I beat him I was reminded of one particular point in my life where against all logic and my better judgment, I thought there might be something to all this fortune telling stuff, so right now I'm going to take a crack at it. I'm going to tell the fortunes of each of my opponents by drawing three cards at a time, the fourth card I've already removed from the deck will have particular significance later, and for those of you who are skeptical about this, let me just say long before people used cards to play games, they were used to foretell the future. In fact, playing cards were invented for divination purposes and so its not so irregular to use them for that purpose today...
*Another pause as the shuffling continues*
As a teenager, I came across an old fortune-telling magazine that featured a divination method using a regular deck of playing cards, lets hope I'm not rusty and can still do what I did back then for my schoolchums as a young lad having a bit of fun. So who better to start with than the man who I guess I am sort of paying homage to by using this technnique. What does my prophecy have in store for the Prophet himself? Let's find out...
*The Ace draws the first of three cards for The Dark One*
Jack of Hearts
Ah now this is interesting, as the first card in a three card draw such as this is seen to represent the past and as you have the Knave of Hearts, this suggests that in your past you had youthful admirers and that there are still those who hold your career in high regard. Let's see what the second card, representative of your present predicts, shall we?
*The Ace draws the second card*
Nine of Hearts
The wish fulfilled card, after you were supposedly crippled, I bet it was your fonest wish to once again return to the ring and compete at the level you were once at, to be as Xtreme as you once were and now in this match, that wish has been granted my friend, but what does the future hold?
*The Ace draws a third card*
Nine of Spades
Oh dear, not such good news I'm afraid, it seems some bad luck and misfortune is in your future - your immediate future, on the plus side though at least I know you have the good sense to accept the inevitability of this prophecy for what it is, for this is what you believe in after all, is it not?
*The Ace scoops up the three cards and reshuffles before continuing...*
Next my old friend James, lets see what these cards have in store for you...
*The first card is drawn*
King of Hearts
You were once my helpful friend and advisor James, you helped me to realise the importance of family and you were one of the few people who gave a damn about me and this card reflects that, but now. Once I would have taken your advice, but now I realise that I can only trule enjoy my life when I've shut you up and have that Xtreme Championship around my waist.
*The Ace draws a second card*
Eight of Clubs
You're just jealous of my success, because I have already achieved so much more than you possibly could dream of, and that means now we have a problem. The problem is I don''t believe you are nearly as healthy as you make out to be. The injuries you gave me two weeks ago were minor compared to those which put you on the shelf for months. Give the cocky bravado a rest sunshine, I know you better than that. Take my advice now James, because if you don't, you'll just have another serious problem. A problem worse than a bad wheel...
*The third card in this reading is drawn*
Two of Spades
A problem that threatens the future of our friendship James, one of us it seems will be deceived and conned out of what they believe is rightfully theirs, and I have a feeling that its going to be you Jim, after all right now your entire pathetic comeback hinges on you claiming the Xtreme title that you're after but as long as I'm still breathing, you wont attain it...I need to save you from yourself James, it's the very least I could do for a friend who was more than happy to steal a cheap win from me two weeks ago, and like you said that was nothing personal, just business, right? Then so James is this...
*The Ace scoops up the three cards and shuffles again*
Next up, the man who thinks he has a right to claim the Xtreme Championnship just because by a curious quirk of fate he happens to have the initials XC. Hmm, I wonder does such 'Crossed' logic work for each of my opponents?
SJ is just Some Jackass with a superiority complex.
DP is so obviously just a Dreadful Poet.
JFK is in this match Just For Kicks it seems.
See Cross, I can play the clever name game too but ultimately it means nothing in the bigger scheme of things, so I digress...
*The Ace draws the first card*
Three of Clubs
Now this is interesting, it seems in the past you had matrimonial bliss and things were generally going well for you, and I guess even if you don't believe in this stuff you'd agree with that, wouldn't you Xavier?
*The Ace draws a second card*
Three of Spades
However now it seems that all that happiness in on the verge of breaking, and its all because of your desire to beat one man in particular, Dark Prophet, and also claim the Xtreme Championship...
*The third card is drawn*
Six of Diamonds
Continue along this selfish, misguided path however and the cards are definitely not in your favour my friend, you will lose everything, there will be arguments and you will be separated, not only from your wife but also from your ambition to be the next Xtreme Champion this Sunday...
*The Ace once again collects the cards and shuffles them*
And finally, we come to the fortunes, or rather misfortunes of my old friend, Jason. The man who takes sheer delight in threatening my health and the wellbeing of my wife and unborn child, but who rather ironically is still somehow blissfully clueless to the nature of the threat I am to his title reign this Sunday...
*The Ace draws a first card*
Queen of Clubs
In the past, you had a woman to give you some good advice Jason, her name was Jade, and because your ego allowed you not to see how lucky you were, you lost her. Of course this was not the first time you've let a good woman slip through your fingers, was it Jason? For each of your two title reigns as Xtreme Champion, you have scorned two beautiful hearts, is the price of success in this business loneliness, and if so is it a price worth paying? I don't think so, I think you regret it and now Xavier is setting himself up to make the same mistakes - and it falls to me to save you both from yourselves, neither of you will walk out with that title - no need to thank me just yet, you're most welcome, gentlemen...
*The Ace laughs as he draws a second card*
King of Spades
You are clearly a man of ambition Jason, you want your third Xtreme title reign to be your best yet, so much so that you have become the self-serving arrogant King of Xtreme, at least in your own mind, but you should know by now that any King in my deck can be trumped at any time, and I promise you, your time is near...
*The Ace draws a third card*
Eight of Spades
It seems that if the cards are to be believed, there is significant danger and misfortune in your immediate future, and the way you have already so foolishly said that you will take any advantage you can, I have no trouble in believing that your frankly cavalier attitude to this match would lead you straight to trouble...
*The Ace once again scoops up the cards and reintroduces them into the deck before setting the deck aside, and moving the very first card he withdrew to the centre of the table...*
Whether any of you believe anything I've said so far is quite frankly irrelevant. I have foretold each of you a prophecy, and whether it comes to fruition this Sunday or not quite simply is not the point.
The point of all this is actually so much simpler gentlemen.
The point is that one card unites all of your futures this Sunday.
The card I withdrew from the deck before any reading.
This card.
*The Ace turns the solitary central card over and the result is rather unsurprising and predictable...*
It is the one card that unites each of you lesser men.
This card is the difference between us.
The card of Destiny.
*The camera focuses on the Ace Of Spades before slowly fading away...*
Forgive my rather pre-emptive strike here, but I feel as though I can no longer wait for any of my opponents to rattle off any more of the same old boring twoddle they usually do, so I'm going to try and answer them before they question my resolve any further...

Ace Of Spades
You all saw that coming, didn't you? See with a little perserverance anybody can have a go at this prediction stuff, but whilst you all may have seen the card before it was revealed to you, none of you have ever truly appreciated its meaning. This card - my signature card - is representative of the combined misfortune and difficulty and death and jeopardy of your careers each of you are gambling with at Battlegrounds.
It is the one card that unites each of you lesser men.
Yet it is also the one card that divides me from you.
This card is the difference between us.
And that gentlemen is why this card is not the card of a Challenger but rather this card is the card of a Champion.
The card of Destiny.
